[APP] Stock Launcher with SMS button instead of browser button! + Faster

This app is the basic gingerbread launcher (Launcher2.apk) but with one change, the browser button is replaced with an SMS button that is fully functional.
I personally text and use the messaging app a lot more than I use the browser, so I thought it would be a good idea to move the messaging app down to the dock.
I know you can do this in custom launchers, like Launcherpro and ADW Launcher, but I really prefer the stock Launcher for its smoothness and really smooth 3D app drawer which the others dont offer.

Yeah, I had just finished making and installing the app and forgot to get rid of the extra messaging shortcut. I now have the browser on the home screen .

Updated the app with better graphics.

Does AXURA use a themed stock launcher or adw.? If does send me the launcher2.apk file and I'll add the messaging app to it.

I also love the stock launcher, but i was always looking for a possibilty to get rid of the browser icon and to replace it with sms icon.

Hi! i have tried to install it, but it doesn´t let me do it, i have the stock rom, and i receive a message "The app is not installed"...

Launcher Pro has been updated with a smoother 3d drawer. It looks pretty cool with 5 columns. Either way, good work.

Has anyone been able to mod the stock launcher to 5 columns/rows yet? Ive tried other mods and editing .xmls but I have no experience so I just get fcs

pure awesomesauce... have been using zeam launcher simply because i could change the browser icon, but now moving back to stock launcher. Nothing like the butter smooth app drawer

Would anyone be interested in a stock launcher with speed enhancements? What I mean is faster zoom in and out when openning the app drawer, faster scrolling and more touch sensitive.

Go Launcher with black glass theme. Just 2 screens for now, trying to keep it simple.

GO Launcher EX with Black Glass Theme, Beautiful Widgets Brushed Steel skin, and Mini Info widget.

This was taken a week or so ago but it's still the same. Using widget locker.
Launcher Pro Plus, Circle Battery Widget, Android Power Widget, 3D Gallery Picture Frame Widget and Dexter my dog.

I have changed mine ever so slightly but here it is
1 screen only that holds everything I need.

I dont know whether this theme had been shared earlier or not, but I am

U have so many Home screen weather Applications out there in market . Double Tap the time and use it.

I tried this on my DroidX and the clock is cut off on the top. Is there a way you can move it down?

Only thing off on my incredible is that it cuts off last letter of city. Otherwise looks nice. Not huge fan of the full screen weather but looks nice.any way to disable it and use own wallpaper?

Its shows only texts on left and right at the bottom of the screen, no 'HD weather' as screenshots on the 1st post. Not even an intruction or guide though. Anybody get it to work? Would mind to share some guide please.

If you want weather on this lockscreen, you need to install "Genie Widget" and set your location in the app

to get weather working flash google apps package for cm7 first
then you will get app news and weather
use that enter your location and you are good to go

This actually works very well. as the person presented it in the original post picture.
I know the LEphone theme was not how it was meant to be from the picture, but least he/she pulled though on this one.
Here at XDA we meant to encourage developers not present them with sarcasm and push people away
Great lockscreen

tHANKS A lOT FOR THE SUPPORT TOWARDS THIS LSCREEN.
To use a different wallpaper, choose from settings menu, wallpaer....Lock screen wallpaper, and select any of them.
It will give you a warning that Lock screen wallpaper cant be set, but thats okay.
When you lock your screen, and press Home button, you will see your own wallpaper on the Lock screen.
However the Lock screen wallpaper if dark looks good on this custom made Lock screen and not with a light colour as the date and time are in Silver Colour.
Thanks and yes Genie Widget applies well to this LS.

Try the weather and news widget that comes with miui. I used it and works fine for me

I have many weather widgets. I even restored more than 20 weather widget from titanium...
Now im going to apply the lockscreen.. Look!
And here the result.. OM Goat!!!! Look at the bottom!!! I made it!! Im awesome and brilliant! Its SUPER HD WEATHER displayed on my lockscreen. What a prank. Btw, thanks so much.

Widget/LockScreen Question

So I am using a custom made ICS/Nexus Style Lockscreen. but for a widget i want the same things that comes with the lockscreen in this picture. Not the Slider part, i already have the one i want, but the part that Shows the Time and Date, Shows when Charging, and Shows number of Missed Calls and Text Msg's. Is there any way I can do this or can someone make it for me. and it would be nice if i could get the icons in the actual slider to be the same, and show the number of calls and texts on there as well. Can someone make this for me PLEASE ! lol

this picture shows how I would like the slider to be. the icons for the Dialer and SMS also show the number of Missed calls and texts, just like the widget at the top does. I think this is a hella sleek and nice lockscreen setup. So if someone could help me out, i would be extremely grateful

That shot is from the go locker ics theme. as far as I know other lockers don't support the SMS and dialer in those particular locations. However, if you are using Adw launcher and widget locker, you can get an app named adw notifier, set that to retrieve the notifications for you, then add those icons to your lock screen. That may give you the effect you are looking for

well i figured it wasn't already existing, but it can be made. I just dont kno how to do it. If someone could make a widgetlocker theme for me that is just like that, and the widget up top, that would be amazing ! I will even pay someone for doing it if i have to.

The ICS Lockscreen Pro HD app that i am using - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.yolocker.icslock&feature=search_result - works pretty good, but its not customizable at all like the one on widgetlocker. So I think I am going to go with your setup.

Yeah I like the way that locker theme has those notification areas in the top arc, but widget locker feels faster, and looks cleaner, plus I can add phantom music control and my track change icons will appear when a song is playing

Exactly. The custom Widgets and being able to set a separate wallpaper for your lockscreen and home screen just like I can on my iPod touch 4th Gen. Is really dope imo.

I finally found app/widgets that does almost exactly like what I was originally looking for. Check out this app called "MissedIT" It works perfectly. And you can use it with your widgetlocker lockscreen

Not as bad as before the update, but yes. This has been a long standing issue for as long as it's been around.
I'm not sure WL is without issues on any ROM/Stock.

It's a shame, I really like the way it works, but at least twice a day I was having to reboot my phone with the screen freezing up. I have had no other screen issues once I removed it. All I had done is BrokenOut 1.1 with ICS tweaks that spc_hicks posted. Even adding widget locker to the loopy smoothness tweak did me no good.

Try these settings (still locks up, but on very rare occasion):
Advanced -> Root Helper
Root Helper -> checked
For Notification Bar -> checked
For Screen Timeout -> unchecked
HomeHelper Ondemand -> unchecked

Yes, is to improve in next update.. Idea and icon is by max, i add mod little and test.
