Cognition4 seems like the perfect ROM to use for basic theme building on the new KB1 base...
I was thinking something Ginger-Comb-ish...
I'm seeing greeeeen, a little purple and splashes of blue...
Anyone feel up to it?
You're suggesting the colors and base of a theme for someone else to do? ......?
Not really...
But I'm not too keen on how to go about theming and what not. I can flash and add themes that have been compiled and all that without a problem... lol
Just conveying my wishful visions... lol

Anyone know where to get/can port/or create a vanilla theme? I was using Bubby's ROM but it looks kinda like he gave up supporting it, so I switched back to JT's Superclean, but now I'm missing the Cyanogen vanilla theme in Bubby's ROM. I'm not sure if he created it, or ported it from somewhere else. If anyone else is interested, post here and maybe we can get one of our great Devs/Themers to make one for us!!!!
This might help someone get started. Looks like some .xml work is involved as well as some .jar work to get the colors to look right.

Anyone want to give this theme a shot? I like that it is transparent instead of all black. Probably do well with battery life as well with it being a darker theme... I could be wrong.

it would take some people much smarter than me...but i dont see it really happening
Would the extra features/locks be based on a Rom? More so then a theme?

im assuming android.policy.jar and framework-jar.......but as to how to implement them? meh jt or kaos im sure could figure it out but they have bigger things on their plate
its a cool feature but im sure id get a headache looking into and ultimately not be successful...maybe with froyo someone will figure it out for touchwiz roms....but with aosp, i dont know how much tw dev will go on (and cm allows you to choose rotary or glass unlock anyway)
Any more interest in this one, it is a very clean theme!

i have no intention of doing it....i dont know if anyone else does....really it just looks kinda stock to me
So I have a bit of a request due to my lack of patients/skills/knowledge with photoshop... Would anyone be interested in making a CM6 throwback theme for the theme chooser? I have tried and tried and have finally given up lol. I guess theme'ing is not my thing. Any ways I loved the look of the CM6 status bar and notification drop down and thought it would make a sweet theme... I hope its not just me that thinks its a good idea! Anyways that's it for now, just thought I'd ask!
Retrodroid theme may be what you need, it's a Froyo theme here on XDA.
itachi1706 and I(yes we are friends) are gonna make a CM7 theme! I am going to try my best in theming the icons based on Cyanbread so that it would look good on our OB. Yes i know i am not gonna win those popular themes like LunarUI and others but i hope that you guys would give us your support so that we would do our very best!
itachi1706 would be doing the coding for the APK while i would be doing the theming of the icons. I dont mind u guys use this for your other mobile devices running CM7 but I am only making it usable on HDPI and most probably look good on OB(I am not saying that it wont look good on other devices)
So we need suggestions coming from you guys like what features do you guys want to see on our device, for eg. Transparent or Translucent framework, middle-clock, icons for the different apps or maybe even stuffs i have not know of yet! Just tell me in the comments below and i will try to implement as must features of the themes u guys want into the theme!
Also I have already decided to make the edge glow bright orange! maybe i would be releasing other coloured versions too but that would come later! And I would not be doing ICS style as you all know there is alittle way too much ICS themes for CM7 or any launcher like LPP or ADW, so therefore i do not wish to compete with them and then lose out in the end saying that we just copied them or anything...anyway we dont want that to happen so we might as well just do something like LunarUI which is based on original and stuffs like that!
So I would like to hear from you guys soon!
Yes. We sincerely hope you guys will give us feedbacks of what kind of theme you guys would want for your phone. We aim to create a theme that is not only original but would be used by people!

Sounds good. I'll be happy to try it out.
well..if u ask me of it...i'll want to have a "Dirty" "rusty" "BOLD" kinda look to the black.
u know, the dirty icons, some translucence (not transparent!!!...believe me, it will initially look nice, but eventually it will intrude with the usage of the phone with the background getting in the way of visibility). i kinda like the bold look, like deep blue, always great black & white, etc etc.
the using of orange overglow is good, but u should have the overglow in the same color as the icons (it'll look streamline)....that all i gotta say.
at the end, wateva u guys make is good for me
after all, it's your first theme ...maybe u'll eventually start making themes like upwardspiral or sonnysekhon....all the best
happy trying
Center clock, semi-transperent status bar.
And widget buttons - keep the icons small as possible.
Rest coloring and effects.... that's upto you to come up with something different.
Hi,
I've been looking for a simple Holo theme with the default blue changed to another color (orange, green, yellow, whatever new), just this simple, one modification - with no results.
The only themes that get as much as possible are: blackout1911's Betterbean Themes, kroz's Hue and Quasim Zia's Holo-series, but even those suffer from additional, redundant changes (like changing default grey into color) which IMO negatively affect JB's great simplicity and legibility.
I know I'm not the only one looking for those themes, since I've came across others, posting similiar questions/request. I wonder why no such themes exist (or I'm unable to find them). Is it so hard to make a simple, colored theme? If it involves changing hue for only two shades of blue, then why is it so problematic? Isn't there any tricky way to automatically recolor the blues in majority of icons with some Photoshop macros?
Thanks for any help and comments, I'd really appreciate this!
Well I'm no themer ...but if hasn't been done its likely because you can't with the theme chooser app...may bee a flash able zip or learn yourself ...me on the other hand I use holohue ....but I have sorcery ROM who's devs focus on most customosible support that AOKP doesn't even come near and with bean picker theme for ROM that's an easy fix for me...good luck

That could be pretty close, if there would exist an option to change the icon colors (eg statusbar icons), not only the text/lines. As far as I can tell from the screenshots provided, the icons stay untouched.
Thanks, anyway, that's a step forward. I'm still waiting for other suggestions, though.
