I use these on the DX for album art. Makes the music galllery look much better. So far the 2 ive used dont work. Art Grabber finds art but it doesnt show it in the XOOM's music app.
Any suggestion?
i am having the same issues... some of the artwork shows and some doesnt and I have no idea why.

Same here with album art. Hopefully that will get fixed soon.
I just tried the headphones for the first time and my ear drums just got blown out. Very loud and I like it.
After you get album art with another app successfully, you need to go to Settings, Manage Apps, find the Music app and then Clear Data. These are off the top of my head instructions and can be cleaned up as I'm sure they aren't exact. Once you've cleared the data for the Music app, your newly downloaded album art should be present.

Yes but before I sync I need a program that add's automaticly some album artwork.
Android looks for the Artwork in the ID3-Tags, so you need to put your covers in the ID3Tag, i didn't find a good app for it yet, but you can try MP3Tag.
Using it right know but how do you batch download artwork?
No option for it
After spending hours one night using a Windows program to edit the tags, I resynced all my music only to find the art still did not sync. Then I saw some screen shots from mikey1022 in a development thread. A screenshot showed a program in his app drawer called album art grabbed. So I downloaded it and it worked. Even for all my Christian artists(not mainstrream so I'm assuming they would be harder to find.) The author said all music apps would use the art from that program.

Windows Media Player? It tries to find art work on the internet AFAIK.
I hate to say it....but.... iTunes is pretty easy to use when you need to mess with your mp3 tags. My wife has iPod so we already have it installed so I just use that, Find my artwork in Google image search, copy highlight album in itunes lib and just add it to the song info. Pretty easy IMHO

Maybe one question too much, but I put it anyway
The system with with builtin sdcard and a separate ext_card are driving me nuts.
I am not asking about to put apps in ext_card, my question is how to use it.
Movies is easy, the movieplayer founds the movies in my ext_card. So does as well the Album app - it founds all my pictures.
But what about the music-app???
Sony delivers the amazing Walkman-app but it does not support files stored in the ext_card??
I can easily fill my phone with 10 Gig music.
Don't tell me to use Spotify or Google Musik - I already does.
Sometimes I want to listen offline on my own special music - and I want to store it on the ext_card!
One weird thing;
I installed Spotify as specified in this forum - it stores the offline music on the ext_card.
I did an initial sync to check that everything worked well (with the latest Spotify update)
Actually, my Walkman app found that music!
But it does not find anything later on.....
How to use the ext_card in best way??
All my music is my external card and the walkman reads it fine...just clear the data in walkman app and media scanner from settings and wait for the media scanner to find it all again.
EDIT
And also check that you do not have any .nomedia files in those folders, otherwise the media scanner bypasses them

At least consistent. Nothing found on the ext_card. No movies, no pictures and no music.
Everything on sdcard is found

hey, I'm going crazy here searching for a way to clear the play queue in the Walkman app, it just keeps on cloging up more and more with every new album I want to listen to :crying: I'm not very keen of having to delete out each track one by one... I can't believe such a option has been forgotten. But seems like I'm missing something since I can't find anybody else having this issue!

Well that sounded like a promising workaround... but unfortunately not even that works! After clearing caches of two different Walkman apps the play queue suddenly has around thirty of the first tracks from the library...
Any other tips?

Are you sure you arent mixing up the media library with the play queue.
Yes I'm talking about the play queue, I've got over 4000 tracks in the library!
Wow, I guess I'm a bit embarrassed... the issue was just caused by user stupidity
For those wondering, just touch the first track in an album or artist from the library and all these tracks replace the current play queue.

1. You can install apps like cover art download or mp3 edit apps to fix album art. u can also find tons of such apps to fix music info
2. I dont think sony want us to have tap2wake. but if u really wanna get it, u can unlock bootloader and install this kernel

ya I can edit album art work using some mp3 tag editor in pc or mobile but it doesn't allow me to add artist image... but in Walkman artist image is shown at the top of Walkman home screen if we have... only top artist images are added using Download music info option...
