for what its worth, this is how you should always do things. always fully boot after flashing a rom before you theme it. why? several reasons:
1. if theres a problem with the rom, you know its the rom and can stop running to the themer and saying "your theme broke my phone!"
2. the android system is a fickle creature and doesnt like to be overwritten lots of times without "stirring the pot" by letting it boot and load everything up.

So if you flash Advanced launcher and come here to say you have problems i dont want to see it!!! Advanced Launcher Needs An Update, go to the thread and demand it!!
***SPECIAL NOTE: Everyone remember this is an experimental rom. Expect to have problems, if you don't great. Be logical if you get forced closes try fix-permissions, if that didn't work remove dalvik-cache. FAQ
1. Do I have to wipe?
NO. You shouldn't have to wipe.
2. I flashed this theme on top of another theme and now I'm getting force closes all over the place.
Reflash Cyanogen's ROM (WILL NOT DELETE YOUR DATA). After you load up your phone, copy the theme update.zip then shut down the phone and boot into recovery to flash the theme. Courtesy of djlucklu
3. It's taking forever to boot!
The first boot will take longer than normal because dexopt needs to run. If you are nervous, connect USB and run "adb logcat" to watch the progress.
4. I lost auto rotate.
Open terminal, su, then "rm /data/misc/akmd* /data/misc/rild*" and reboot.
5. How do I install clock widget??
You must download and install, Weather Widget Donate from the market.
You must download and install, OI File Manager from the market.
Now on your home screen tap and hold (where you want the clock widget) until the menu pops up. Tap on Widgets and scroll till you see Weather & Flip Clock tap on that. Enter your location or however you want those options. hit save.
Now go to your app drawer, find weather widgets and tap on that. scroll down till you see Clock Skin Prefernces. Tap on Clock Skin Downloader. Download the skin of your choice. Now Tap on Install clock skin from SD card. Find the skin you want, tap on it and hit OK. Thats it.
***If you downloaded the skin from here. Insert .zip file in /sdcard/prettyweather-googlecode-com/clock tap on Install clock skin from SD card. Find the skin you want, tap on it and hit OK. Thats it.
6. OMG How come I have 3 screens instead of 5 like Cyanogen rom??
Well if you skipped reading above then this is why your asking this question. The answer is: To use Advanced Launcher or set how many screen you want hit Menu>More>Extended>Home Screen and use the slider to your advantage.
7. Can I use some of your work in my own THEME?
Of course, I am all about "some" sharing! Don't just take everything and change a couple of icons and call it yours. Also give credit where credit is due.

What battery monitor are you using? (the 100% in the notification bar is nice )

only probs i have is my music widgeet dont work... and i wish it was in blue.. as well..
i will let you know what else dont work..

no wiping needed for themes. make sure that if you coming from another theme to flash the cyanogen rom before flashing theme.

The Honeycomb 3D Project ​
Description:
A fully colored, "eye candy" style Honeycomb theme for all Android/cm7 devices with the new Theme Chooser application. This theme is based off bypass's aosp 3.0 ROM port and hax's "templatebread" with every stock gingerbread menu/settings/widget/app/status bar icon replaced with high-resolution 3D images from Honeycomb, Sense, MIUI, UOT, XDA and Google.

I have spent hundreds of hours throughout the last few months perfecting this theme and its still far from being finished, but I've recently started working with zexcrazy (the creator of "Animated Eye Candy") who has done a ton of work helping me recompile the theme, fix the xml/.9 pngs, and optimize the files for mdpi; bkmo who has been compiling everything on linux and creating the new dialer, lockscreen, thin blue volume sliders, call screen and zipthemer addons; jjhiza who is creating the mock Honeycomb widgets, dock icons and homescreen layout; and nbeebe24 who got the xml files working for 1% battery increments. Without the incredible amount of free time these guys have dedicated to help me out, this theme wouldnt be anywhere near the level its currently at. I would also like to thank the entire Yoshi team who has been helping out by testing beta releases and giving advice when I get stuck, and haxzamatic for providing the template and guides for the new theme engine

2. Open theme Chooser app and apply honeycomb 3D. The theme engine might say there's assets missing for your device but its lying. Hit that "apply anyways" button with your middle finger
*If the theme isn't showing up at all, your rom most likely came with the latest version of the theme Chooser app preinstalled and its has been having issues, so try scrolling between the themes slowly with your trackball and if that doesnt work, or if your rom didnt include the theme chooser app, here is a link for the apk that can be installed using any app installer: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/22147062/ThemeChooser.apk ***
4. Reboot and start looking through your new mini-tablet
5. Don't forget the hc3D extras zip and bkmo's new zipthemer/metamorph lockscreen, volume sliders, and themed reboot popups for mdpi! (see links below)
Instructions for addons:
Here's the zip file that includes all latest bkmods, jjhiza's widgets+dock icons, several new honeycomb wallpapers, all stock HC/3.0 app icons (for ppl who like those better than the blue tinted ones in the theme), the 3.0 music player port, maxthon (which is very similar to 3.0's browser), a honeycomb bootanimation, bootanimationutility.apk (for easily switching to new bootanimations), and a battery calibration app that I strongly suggest you install if experiencing any battery drain issues (completely unrelated to the theme but its a small apk so it doesn't really hurt)

5. Honeycomb wallpapers can be applied from homescreen *located in gallery (wallpapers folder) after unzipping hc3Dextras2 file*
6. Install the Google 3.0 music player apk with any app installer
7.BootAnimation.apk and BatteryCalibration.apk can also be installed using app installer if you want or need them Do not unzip the bootanimation, just use that app tool or swap using root explorer.

Thanks for the feedback, I've been thinking about downsizing the settings icons from 48x48 to 32x32 so that should hopefully solve the first problem. As for the status bar I'm still selecting new icons and matching up colors, so if u see any that look out of place let me know now while I'm changing them, or if u see any icons online that look better send them my way

This is actually a common issue with the most recent version of the Theme Chooser. You can replace it with a working version by installing the theme chooser apk i provided in the op, but some people have been able to get it working by using the trackball to slowly scroll between themes and the name will show up. We didn't add a preview picture yet tho because it needs to be done on Linux for them to work on all devices. Just try scrolling between between the themes first and if that doesn't work install the previous version of theme chooser

loving the icons of the theme. They do need a little bit of touching up. Also maybe in future updates changing the gps toggle icon to something other than an icon that looks like the gingerbread browser.

@m4ver1ck I've actually been thinking about changing the GPS toggle icons to something else too because that globe might be kinda confusing, so ill definitely include it in the next release.
@haroldlancegoco I believe most things are showing up correctly but jjhiza is the only one on the team currently able to test on hdpi, and the other day he said a couple more of the menu pop-up icons were still stock and some of the icons looked bigger in landscape mode... so I'm pretty sure it will work for the most part but let me know what doesn't so I can make sure to fix it on the next update

I like this theme, it really has potential. I have already done an MDPI addon morph for it. It morphs lockscreen and clock font, volume, phone-options popups, and has new animations. Take it for a spin if you want. Just noticed the call answer screen didn't get my transparent changes because of all the jog_ graphics in the theme overriding the transparent ones in the morph.

These buttons look distorted on my MDPI Aria. Are you sure that frameworks_res_btn_circle_normal.png is from an MDPI device?

Wow EXCELLENT job man! This is exactly what I wanted to do as soon as I had the apk fully working. Ill check it out right now and put the link in the op. We could actually use someone with more experience in creating metamorphs (especially with the lockscreen) if you're interested in joining the project. I really want to add the honeycomb font/silver-blue glow to the status bar clock and try to incorporate the dock popup menus and freemoving "wave" honeycomb lockscreen (which will take a lot morework but I have the files we would need). Send me a pm if u want to help us work on some of the other things we have in mind. The theme apk is really just the framework for all the mods we want to add, so this initial release is really just the first stage of the honeycomb 3D project.

Actually for some reason there's a grey circle behind that expander image (believe it may be .9 related) but I really wanted to use this icon from the dock

Quick question: is this theme complete for HDPI devices? Reason why I ask is the icons in the notification bar and the notification power widget are extreamly foggy on my HTC Evo.

ABOUT THE THEME...
If you are familiar with BAMF GingerRemix then you have seen this theme before. I originally began working on this about a month ago and it has been a long drawn out process. I was working on it when I had some free time in between other themes/mods and keeping my Remix Extras thread up to do. ThatDudeButch and myself decide to use this theme as the new Remix for Gingerbread. So I began porting everything over to work. When everyone started reverting back to Froyo because of the potential bricking issue, I decided to continue work on the Froyo based version. Well here it is in all it's glory, with even more themed elements than what's currently available in GingerRemix.
The idea of the theme was to remove as many of the rounded edges as physically possible. Of course there are still some and I'll be updating the theme over time to remove even more. To give you and idea of how much time went it to this, there were over 1700 images altered or changed.

Zhp, I wiped cache and davilk and flashed over 1.7 I have some ghosting up on my status bar and the 3d dock didn't flash. I reflashed but didn't help. Any ideas? I did check md5's

This is so sick Justin. You made it like 10x's better than the initial release on GingerREMIX. Sucks because I'm loving my color themes from before, but like the chrome and green look as well, even though I'm not a huge green fan.
I do however love the chrome keyboard so much better.
Great work once again. Thinking that we def need some green glow in the notification bar with chrome. But we def have to leave the data arrows chrome.

Thanks. In all honesty the boot animation needs some work. The flashes were added at as a last minute change but it needs to run at 30 fps to make them smooth. Twix had set it up based on 15 fps at the beginning of the project at my request. He did most of the work on it using Cinema4D and After Effects. I added the fading in the beginning, reflections on the glass, the 'for das bamf' and the sounds. Many many thanks goes out to Twix.

We can do it again if need be. I haven't flashed it yet so I don't know how terrible the frame lag is. *flashes*

I'm still enjoying your other mods, but I do like the new clear lockscreen with the elimination of Verizon wireless. Anyway to have that applied without flashing this theme?

Hi Nismo. I'm glad you mentioned that. The status bar actually isn't changing color. It just seems that way because I made it about 75% transparent for a cooler effect when pulling the shade down. It looks grey because the apps you are opening have white backgrounds so they appear to change to grey behind the black semi-transparent status bar

Yup, that's in my list above of things still to do. I will theme the entire dialer to make it pretty. Its ugly stock. I will work on that next week as I am currently out of town.

Loving the theme, can't wait to see what else you do with it. One thing I have going on is when I touch the slider on the epic lock screen it turns into either the clockwork symbol or the download mode symbol? Anyone else seeing this or did I have a weird flash? Lol

I just checked and I am not having that issue. Are you using any kind of lock screen app? If not, try to reboot into recovery and clear dalvik cache. If that doesnt work, then I suppose reflash it or flash the recovery zip and see if it goes away., If so, then flash the theme again.
That's weird. I don't know how you would be getting those icons on the unlock screen. They aren't even closely named...... LOL!

Isn't that JVO or JVP based? It should be flashable on that ROM. Just make sure to make a flashable Apex backup of the framework and apps and copy it to your SDcard first just in case.
I'd love to port it but Im happy with Serendipity and don't have time or the desire to flash back and forth with Apex.

Ok I have tried everything I know to do other than re-flashing Serendipity and I will wait til a new version comes out before I try that. My issues I am having are:
1. Weird slider symbols on Epic lockscreen
2. No matter what notification I get on Epic lockscreen it shows 1 missed call and the box is mis-aligned
3. On the extended power menu I have colored symbols on the first 4 but Reboot, Recovery, and Download have the blue battery symbol out beside them.
Also when I used the revert package and went back to stock Serendipity theme I had the same issues except on the extended power menu it was the green battery instead of the blue one. And on the Epic lockscreen the slider turned into two different things.

1. Weird slider symbols on Epic lockscreen
2. No matter what notification I get on Epic lockscreen it shows 1 missed call and the box is mis-aligned
3. On the extended power menu I have colored symbols on the first 4 but Reboot, Recovery, and Download have the blue battery symbol out beside them.
Also when I used the revert package and went back to stock Serendipity theme I had the same issues except on the extended power menu it was the green battery instead of the blue one. And on the Epic lockscreen the slider turned into two different things.

You are Serendipity 7 and not 6.4 correct? I made the theme on Serendipity 7 update 2. Did you install that update?
Also, what launcher are you using?

I have a theory that my problem may be that I flashed your theme over the theme I had on before, which was Matted Blues for the Apex rom. So whatever framework changes that theme made is probably screwing up this theme for me. I am downloading Serendipity update 2 full rom right now and am gonna do a fresh flash then apply your theme and hopefully that will solve my problems. I also use the TW4 from fraggor in the I9000 section but I will make sure my problems are gone before I install that.

More than likley its TW4 but could also be that theme. Its best to start from stock. Sorry about the troubles. Hopefully after you do a fresh flash you'll be able to enjoy the theme

I imagine its just like the GB themes made for the GSM nexus... it'll work but delete your 4G settings. I may try and port it if I can find the time or maybe fergie could as well.

Great mod! Love all the bells and whistles.
Discovered a problem though: I use Handcent SMS exclusively for messaging, and freeze the stock Android messaging app with Titanium. When using the four-way lockscreen to unlock straight to messages, the phone reboots instantly.

what happens if you un-freeze the MMS app? probably Android goes crazy when it doesn't find the app linked to mms shortcut.
sorry but i'm not able to fix it as it's a deep mod somewhere in android.policy.jar, i got it ready from the original gnex mod.
it goes far over my little knowledge

i just flashed to NS4G and everthing seems to be ok except 4g is now gone (well the option to select it anyway)

@ etoy, awesome i like the change to the layout of the 4way lockscreen from the original. Can you check my post in the AOKP thread here, I was the one that got bp328i to port it to AOKP b14 for the NS, he/she also made a addon (in my post) that allowed you to change the MMS shortcut to anything. Basically it made the MMS shortcut goto Launchkey+ so you could change to any app you want on the fly also you could have it pull up a launchpad with 8 Apps as well which was sweet. Looks like it was just an edit in the jar. Any chance you could bring that mod to your theme as an add-on?

A perfect reason for etoy to add the mod i talk about in the post above...
Also the only dif that makes 4g not work is settings.apk I have posted it for the crespo4g any chance you could add your changes to our settings.apk i attached and repost for us 4g users?
Edit: Looking at your placement of the LS compared to the original 4 way, i see the level is stock rather than raised, i guess this is because there is no icon at the bottom of the circle. Do you think you could have a mod that uses what I referenced above but added as an additional button on the lockscreen. Maybe raise the circle to get the bottom spot back like original 4 way but have that one be the link to the custom shortcut? Just wondering how many we could fit in that circle if raised, seem like you could get 2 more on the bottom just like to top of the circle.

Thanks for the reply. Unfroze stock MMS, and the shortcut works just fine.

Edit: #2 My post that has the modded file from bp328i, you could compare the 2 jars with something like windiff and see where the change in the jar was for the change in shortcut.

I was wrong I flashed with the settings APK taken out and 4g still does not work. Weird... Wonder what it is.

are you sure framework and systemui are identical? if the only difference is settings.apk, then 4g users can safely delete that apk from my zip and flash it in the meanwhile. the only mod there is a 50% transparent widget, nothing important. i'll fix it later. but before posting it to OP, please someone test it!

i made that placement with a 6-way LS and leaving the lower two empty. i find it more comfortable when unlocking the device using one hand instead of raising it. we can *potentially* add another 2 or more options,if i only knew how to edit the infamous android.policy.jar!
