Is there any way for rooting the new firmware on the HTC Heros? I'm pretty good with ADB. Any info is greatly appreciated.
Use super one click. Worked fine for me on the newest firmware.

Hi,
I'd like to know if I must have a rooted nexus one to update my radio version.
thanks!
Depends how you do it...
Some of the official Google updates include an updated radio also, so if you can install them, you will get the radio update with them.
The biggest factor is probably which version of Android you are currently on, which radio you currently have, and which radio you want, etc...?

You do not to be rooted. Flash radios via fastboot.

Which requires an unlocked bootloader...

Yes, It's not the only way but the easiest way. Not so easy if you're on gingerbread though because gingerbread root right now still under construction. You'll need to downgrade and root it. Or unlock the boot loader and flash custom rom to acquire root. You can easily flash radio via recovery. Easiest way.

What is the best radio rom (long-life battery)
I'm new to the whole android OS and I trying to unroot my nexus one and I have read that it is possible here on XDA but I can't seem to understand it. I thinking of installing the original gingerbread stock rom onto my sd card then to my phone will that work for me or is there more to it. If someone would help me out I would really appreciate it.
You're probably better off flashing a rooted stock rom.
Unroot/restore guide in the wiki. Use passimg method with FRG33. If the updates to GRI40 don't start automatically, you can flash them yourself...

First you should have posted this in the General section for help and assistance. Once you S-Off and install ClockworkMod during the rooting process, you will not be able to flash OTA updates from your carrier because you no longer have the stock HTC recovery installed.
You are better off installing one of the fully rooted GB Roms or check and see if your carrier's GB RUU (Rom update utility) is posted in the RUU thread and flash that.

I've been through the same process.
Flash this ROM:

You could but you would need to replace CWM recovery with the standard HTC recovery first before you attempted to download and run an OTA update.
The best advice I could give you is wait for the update to come out and then update using a fully rooted version of it so you won't lose root. With almost all of the newest GB updates that HTC has been providing for their different models, they are fixing all known root exploits and applying an OTA will cause you to lose root without a way of getting it back easily.
Thanks alot!!!!

You're surely better off to avoid ota updates and just install custom ROMs, you should be able to get
a close to stock one

Hi all,
Haven't posted much(or any) but been rooting and such for a while now. I'd like to take my One back to stock and this could be a stupid question but here goes. I've read all the the instruction about going back to stock with RUU, but since there isn't one for Bell mobility I have an OTA but none of the instruction mention using an OTA to revert back to stock so really I don't know what to do with it. Any help be greatly appreciated. Thanks
