Which is the best custom rom...

rate the rom which has this below qualities
* Speed same like CM7
* Super looking
*Best supporting kernels.

For me GOAtrip is the best custom Rom.
Goatrip 2.1 RC on GB 2.3.4 JVP
with Dark Core 2.7.3 or Semaphore 1.2.0

Best rom threads invariably get shut down because it creates bickering and bad feeling......there is no best rom, it depends on what you want.....the ONLY way to resolve this is to get into development and browse around and make your own mind up/experiment ............case closed!

Exactly, just try them all out and ofter some time you'll have your favourite ROM.

I think JUWE v5.0 is really nice.. give it a try ;-)
But it depends on what you expect form ROM, what style/design do you prefer..

The best roms is which fits you the best.
All roms hare almost bug free and very smooth.
Just try some and make your own choice

BEST is CM7 right .. i need that best in these custom roms ...
i m having problems in CM7 like cam etc....
basically i use cam ......

Insanity + Glitch kernel

Cm7 + stock kernel

Insanity is cm7 based, very stable compared to the nightlys

i know, just like the MIUI- versions, SuperOSR ....
What do you mean with "very stable compared to the nightlys"?
The last nightly with bigger problems was #23 - at least for me...

Stock CM7 + platypus kernel

Insanity + Neo kernel... but only until the new glitch kernel is released

hi mate i think u should try BlockBuster Rom 5.0 with Semaphore Kernel 1.5.0...i think the fastest and most stable rom.....and the big thing it has no battery drain at all....Darkys rom is not a choice now a days......because darky is not developing....its developed by Ficeto.....so in my opinion u should try blockbuster.

i'm using F1 GS2 vs Galaxian GT.I think u should try it

Hi needing help which custom rom and voodoo control ?

Hi all, wow just rooted my sg2 and now want a good custom rom, any suggestions please, also is VooDoo control out yet for sg2 and if not is there any simular app within a custom rom that will do the same as VooDoo Control ie boost the volume etc as i found this app to be superb on my old samsung g1 ,

Theres no voodoo or alternative yet for the gs2, I played around with my gs2 last week when I got it rom wise and found that a few of them are kinda unstable at the moment (cyanogen for example)
At the moment I'm running Darky Rom V2 Rom Here
and instead of running the supercore kernel Im running 2.6.35.11 ninphetamine 2.1.3 Kernel Here as it does have a really good battery life and overclocking ability if you look at the benchmark test on the kernel page im getting another 2000 ontop of that, current score is 6235, that with a few things running in the background. After all my playing this is the best currently available in my opinion.

Hay mate first this is the s1 forum.
Second i test many room on my Gs2 i think darky is very simple and no major difference from stock rom....i think u should try Alienware rom its cool man and have ninptimine kernel and u can overclock this to1.6 and u can earn 5100 point on qudarant and too much fast.

Try DarkyROM v10.4.2 [XWJW1] with Semaphore. It's amazing.

gamerzrom v10 is very well.You can creat some script to improve the speed

google for damain gto kernel they r not here.but its a powerfull kernel

If your planning to upgrade to ICS might I recommend SlimICS, it breaths new life to my
Galaxy S and feels brand new again, very snappy and im loving it... why Samsung claims
that ICS wont run on Galaxy S is beyond me.

slim ics 4.2 with seapahore kernel......
stable,lag free with excellent battery.....

Another thread with the same question! ICS333 in my experience is the best, though slim is one of the few I haven't tried!

I'd also root for Slim, faster than CM9 in my experience and never disappointed me. No need to flash Semaphore though IMO, the stock kernel also is working great.

I dont own the S1 anymore, but before i sold it, i have used "DarkyROM". This was the best ROM i've ever used. Fast, stable and good.
I i would the S1 again, i would install DarkyROM again.

I would say cm9 with devil kernel.

I used TeamICSSGS' rom. Was very happy with it but today swapped it for Jelly bean.

In addition to it, dont ask which one is good as the one good for someone wont fit in your case so best answer it just test roms until you find the one for you ;-)

i read similar threads but didnt get good answer. Am new to rooting so wanted to make sure am doing it right with right ROM.

Also if i want to flash Slim ICS is it mandatory to flash CM9 first?

Get CM9 RC2 which has been released today. Its stable version.
You can directly install Slim ICS. There is no need to install CM9 before installing Slim ICS.

Ics333 has worked perfectly in my SGS. I'm using semaphore kernel with it.

Darky rom ONLY does official Samsung ROMs... since ICS was never officially released for the i9000 , there is no Darky ICS rom for the galaxy S...
Edit: OK so it seems after Darky Rom split and the others formed TeamAlliance, Darky has decided to make AOSP ROMs as well while Alliance doesn't...
Therefore cdwriter was right... there is a Darky ICS...

Best ICS ROM?
I have tried almost ALL the ICS Roms out there. And i can confidently say that i have found AOKP to be the baddest of 'em all. Not even CM9 mind you.
Make sure you use the NEW DataFix script by Windego (the 20120524) and NOT the older one (20120329).
Use the ROM with Devil Kernel (0.79 version) Choose Voodoo Colors or CMC, your choice. Before flashing this kernel, make sure you remove the already included init.d datafix script. (Open the package in WinRAR, navigate to system > etc > init.d > remove file named "S30dafafix)

Yes, DarkyRom is on of the best roms... Hope that Darky will make a JB rom soon

You can try SLIM ICS by karvind. The ROM is pretty fast, smooth and stable. I was using it till Build 4.1 and I switched to JB
