I became a flashholic thanks to all the awesome roms by hardworking developers... Now, everything becomes just automatic and routine but only thing i have to manually do (every time I flash) is to set up the email accounts (exchange emails on stock email apk) and it becomes very annoying... I use tibu for backup and restore.. but it doesn't recover email accounts and settings.. is there a way that I can restore email accounts automatically?? (I should've known better...my email addresses and passwords are damn long...) Please help???

really?? If I did that I didn't mean to...btw, can anyone tell me how to backup email accounts and settings???
I never did find a way to backup the stock e-mail accounts because it is treated as a system app with system data. To get around it, I started using K-9 email: much better than stock email and the accounts are backed up with TiBU.

Had you found a way of backup your Sync Accounts? I mean, your mails accounts.
Thanks!
I use Maildroid, backed up with TiBu.

But I need to backup mail, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn... All the accounts.
Any ideas how?
TiBu should back up the other accounts accts separately. Unless you are setting up the sync with the stock acct sync.

is there a way to backup my manually joined contacts because most of my friends are in Puerto Rico and most of them use two last names like almost everybody in Puerto Rico and the point is that i do not save my contact with both last names in my outlook or gmail account and every time i flash a new ROM i have to manually edit almost all my contact and link them to their facebook accounts. is there an easy way to do it? i'm willing to pay for any app that does this thanks in advance.
i do have titanium backup but i really don't know if it's able to do that
Have you tried exporting to the sd card through the contact app?
Have you tried this method? Does it works for you?

Sorry I guess you're right and I didn't realize that's your issue. I manually link them with FB.

Anyone get Yahoo Mail to work email app? Comes up with login errors on my SGS but works fine on Milestone. What is different about Samsungs email client? Are there any versions that work?

If anyone cares, K9 mail works with Yahoo.
Will try AOSP email next. I wonder if Samsung and Yahoo just had some disagreement lol

Got it working with yahoo.com using imap protocol.
Mine works fine with POP, I have a very old account though so have the option to use POP, I'm sure newer accounts don't have this option unless you pay far a premium account

I think you need stock Rom to save contacts to SIM or there might be an app for it. Not sure.

There is option to import contacts to sim
^ Import means bringing in from outside. I dont think you can do vice versa in Non-stock based custom roms. Again- Not sure.
Just login to google account from pc, go to contacts, and delete them. And disable syncing. After that clear contacts data, and restore contacts from sd card
Yes. www.google.com/contacts/
I also had that problem. Log into your Google account via PC (as yackovsky already said) and just merge duplicates.
I also had the same problem i had around 6-7 same contacts then i use go sms pro and batcg deleted all .It took me almost one hour to do as i was having around 4000 contacts

There will be some option like Merge Duplicates or something. You will have to do that manually.

I've tried 20 apps and I don't really like most of them.
What are ppl using?
I honestly liked the old 4.1 stock app and want something similar.
I want manual sync, but I want the app to auto sync upon opening, which surprisingly none of them do. I know u just have to pull down to sync, but hey, one less step, is one less step.
I also am having trouble finding an app where u can easily delete from the app. I think I'm deleting emails throughout the day, only to find them all still there when I go to hotmail on my computer.
When I hit delete, I want it to delete, not go to trash so I have to open an entirely different folder and delete that for it to really be gone.
I'm just going to keep trying them, but if you guys have any suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

I use OWA Webmail app. As my employer has prevented me configuring mail apps for our exchange server. This one works though!
try this Email Mail Exchange @Blue
Have you tried Mailbox by Dropbox? I've been using Inbox by Google since it came out. I like the idea but it can get confusing at times. Gonna give Mailbox a try since it comes highly recommended.
Aquamail
I'm actually using Lollipop Gmail, considering it now supports other mail accounts natively.
Of course, it doesn't have any fancy features... But I enjoy it. It works well.

Profimail for corporate mail and Inbox for Gmail.
It will be great when the guys release the feature of getting mail from Exchange.
