[ROM] Adeo v0.2 (REDUX) for Atrix 4G - Atrix 4G Android Development

***MOD EDIT***
THIS ROM ONLY WORKS ON 4.1.26. Please consider another ROM unless you know what you are doing.
History & IntroThe first version was done with 3 different batch files, it ended up being very hacky and even ended up bricking one phone because the cleanup script didn't properly work.
I have rebuilt it from the ground up as a shell script. The initial temp root and file push is done with a batch file, it then fires off the install script on the phone which reports back to the batch with helpful info about what it is doing and what to expect from the phone as it goes. You no longer have to accept any superuser requests either.
The new script has been used on tons of phones now, everything executed exactly as I expected it to. I really didn't want to post this until we had a stock firmware to restore to, after the first release I have been worried about you guys bricking your devices, but what the hell, here it is anyways.

Nice! First basic rom How would someone restore back to stop if you cant do a factory reset? I know on the captivate I had a nice Odin flash to do that.
Thanks

A custom ROM?
I'm going to have to buy an Atrix!
EDIT: Bought it!
EDIT2: And Adeo'd it. All UI lag is gone! This is awesome!

I am running this in my Atrix now - I believe my phone was the 4th phone to have this install perfectly on with no issues. Designgears, you are the man, once again! Thank you for this!

PM sent DG. I cheated an caught link a few minutes early and wanted say thanks! This is running great with no issues and I'm loving the reboot option...

Installed on mine, worked flawlessly. Thanks!

the factory reset is only if you brick.
There is no easy way to get back to stock, I will make a thing just like this installer to do that, actually its done, testing it

So if all else fails, the factory reset will bring it back to out of the box shape? Just concerned because Im still debating if I want to keep the phone before my 30 days is up etc. Id like to return it as stock obviously, but I also need to test out custom mods before my decision.
Thanks man.

I am curious, what changes were made for the reboot mod?
Also, thanks for the rom!

I saw the no factory reset posts lol... I was just curious what can be done to return the phone back to stock once this is all done with.
Thanks.

I designed this script to handle payloads, just need to package up one with a new payload with stock files and upload it.

Installed... Removed Laggyness i was getting with blur UI.
as to refering to the blur UI....
this is my second Atrix.. had to bring my first one back because when i was on tier 3 support the other night they fried the sim card reader with an update which was killing data signal to my phone... that phone had no laggyness whats so ever at all. I got this one today out of the box was having laggyness and slow response to key presses.. this fixed that as of so far.

Nice, I will give this shot. Although I am already running DeOdexed already but I figured may be you got it running better than mine
I am also going to start editing small things like animations. No sense oh having all this power without some eye candy

Hello designgears,
Did you re-signed the apks? If so, could you share the key files you used? The reason I ask for it, it's because I am playing around with the /system/app apks and was getting errors like:
"Package com.motorola.blur.home has no signatures that match those in shared user"
Awesome job, btw!

Stupid question. How do I hook up the phone with adb enabled? When I run the bat file it says error: device offline, but in my devices I see ADB interface Mot Composite ADB interface.

Install the Android SDK
install the MOTO drivers it will also install the moto adb drivers with it.
Install the ADB function drivers into the SDK/tools folder
run...cd to the sdk/tools folder... run... adb devices
should show the device is up which means ADB is enabled

[TOOL] redbend modification

I hacked on redbend_ua to make it a better phone hacking tool
first thing that has to go was the rebooting after any command
and the second thing was the stupid installing software splash screens
the first mod will probably segfault if used to batch install delta files
as I suspect there is some more code to update the progress bar on
the now NOP'ed installing software splash screen.
the second mod has batch mode NOP'ed so it wont do anything unless
you pass the dump, restore or compare commands which is fine for scripting
zImage and modem.bin installs.

redbend_ua is used for installing OTA updates, but it also has other functions.
RedBend Update Agent %s
commands:
img [partition name] [delta file] [device node] [temp path]
fs [partition name] [delta file] [mount point] [temp path]
all
dump <source dev> <dest file>
restore <source file> <dest dev>

normally when you run a command it will take over the screen with a "Installing Software"
splash, and then reboot. you can get around the reboot by unlinking reboot but that is kinda
a kludge and the splash usually just scrambles the screen.
the mod does away with the splash and the reboot making redbend_ua less annoying to use.
you could even probably install kernels and modems without rebooting into recovery, though
you will have to reboot to use the new code.
for example if you want to install a kernel the command might look something like this
Code:
/data/local/redbend_ua restore /sdcard/zImage /dev/block/bml7
So I'm bumping this because tbh I was a little surprised to see it die out. I was expecting more to come out of it. I imagine you could potentially create an app to flash kernels and modems and then you just reboot for it to take effect. Might be worth looking into...
Edit: I'm going to look into it. I feel this would be extremely convenient for multiple reasons.

I saw that and briefly hacked into it to pack it with vibrant kernels - gave it 1 try which failed and I moved on because I assume you have a check in place that didnt let me replace the kernel. Like to see this for us though.
Edit - reading your signature, I must have been working from an early or I9000 version at the time.

[HowTo] ClockWorkMod Recovery

Thanks to Trekfan422991 for cluing me in on the Optimus 3D recovery.
Working:
Nandroid
ADB (after special driver install, need to tweak recovery for it to work with normal drivers)
Mounting USB to computer
Flashing zip files
Dangerous:
Fix Permissions (caused lots of crazy issues, fix by wiping data if you use it)
Sdparted (the sdcards are mount incorrectly, this will probably destroy your device)
I am in the process of making a recovery specifically for our device, it is mostly done and will be posted here when it is ready!
What you are going to need:
ADB (and know how to use it, don't ask in here)
Rooted Phone (again, that will not be covered, don't ask in here)
Optimus 3D recovery image [Download]
If you don't understand something in that list, DO A SEARCH AND LEARN, don't clutter the thread with crap!
Lets get started!
Lets start by getting the recovery.img file on the phone. Open up a cmd prompt and type:
Code:
adb push recovery.img /data
The rest of this will be done on the phone shell. In the cmd prompt type:
Code:
adb shell
We will need to have su access, In the cmd prompt type:
(If you haven't allowed shell su in SuperUser now would be a good time to accept the root request on the phone.)
Code:
su
Now we are going to backup your current recovery to your sdcard. In the cmd prompt type:
(make sure your sdcard is not mounted to your computer)
Code:
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p6.backup bs=4096
After that is done we are going to flash ClockWorkMod Recovery! In the cmd prompt type:
Code:
dd if=/data/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 bs=4096
Congrats! You now have ClockWorkMod Recovery! In the cmd prompt type:
(each line is single command)
Code:
rm /data/recovery.img
reboot
How to enable ADB access: (only if it's not working already)
Download and install: (unzip and install the 2 exe files)
http://www.mediafire.com/?j5m1plnvzb8r0zc
While booted into ClockWorkMod Recovery, go into your device manager, you should see an "LGE Android Composite Device" with a yellow triangle on it.
right click on it, update driver software...
select browse my computer for driver software
select let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer
click the "Have Disk" button
click the "browse" button
browse to;
for 64bit:
C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LG Android Driver\64BitADB
for 32bit:
C:\Program Files\LG Electronics\LG Android Driver
and select lgandadb.inf
click "ok"
From that list select "Android Sooner Single ADB Interface"
click "next"
click "yes" on the popup

I found a few modes, but no drivers yet so I don't know what they are. Even if we break stuff the kernel and recovery are separate, so technically we should always be albe to get back into recovery to fix stuff.
thankyou DG for getting this started..
so now with my clockworkmod i just made a backup of stock rom... if i say change the framework and I get boot loop.. will this clockwork mod be able to restore the original rom without any problems???
tiny problem... might just be missing something... but after i made my backup and i choose reboot system now... it just goes back to recovery... how do i boot up my phone!!!
sorry if it is obvious... im super tired...

I got mixed up as to what partition to flash, you just flashed a recovery image over the kernel... its ok tho.
follow my instructions to the su part, then do this.
// this will restore the kernel
dd if=/sdcard/mmcblk0p5.backup of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p5 bs=4096
// this will backup recovery
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 of=/sdcard/mmcblk0p6.backup bs=4096
// this will flash cwm
dd if=/data/recovery.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p6 bs=4096
OP is fixed!
edit--
and you have no adb access, this is going to get interesting!

Thanks so much to DG & Trekfan, I've been looking everywhere for CWM!
I cannot find the download link to the recovery - in the quote above from the OP, where it says download, is that supposed to be a download link? I don't know if there's a typo or if I'm just missing something, but the "download" word doesn't link to anything for me. Instead, I thought I'd try searching for it in the optimus 3d forums, but search is down too Does anyone have a link?

After CWM is installed and working on our device, would it be safe to fix permission in "ROM Manager," or does that just fix permissions through whichever recovery is currently installed?
I'm guessing someone here knows how ROM manager works in this regard, but if not, I'd be happy to be a guinea pig... after all, I can make/restore backups now! : )

Sorry for being OT but I must agree: if designgears made a Thrill ROM that's Cognition-esque then I'd consider keeping my Thrill, but considering he already has a ROM for the GSII, I imagine he's going to get the AT&T Galaxy S II? Side note, you know you've really earned some serious nerd-cred when other nerds (who you don't even know) speculate what your next cell is going to be

Not waiting on dg here. Think you missed the "let's" part. Working on a Thrill ROM as we speak. Just got the Thrill about an hour ago and I already dumped the system image, de-odexed it, created an updater-script, added root and busybox, removed bloat, and updated a few apps. Time to start theming, modding framework, and tweaking.
Im also working on a ROM but if we cannot flash zips with CWM then how am I supposed to flash the ROM? Are you going to flash it with Heimdall or something?

Oh, good to hear! Man I really have to sit down and try to learn some more technical stuff sometime, because ROM creation, and not even just the theming aspects, is so appealing to me.
Maybe you can create a thread placeholder and describe what you've done so far? We're really getting OT, sorry all.

Oh, I thought you could flash zips through adb after doing the fix? Or no? (((edit: wait, no, I was thinking about pushing .apks through ADB, not flashing .zip files))) Hopefully this is something DG's new recovery might address. If no to both, could you distribute ROMs via nandroid backup files of a fresh ROM installation? It would be incredibly inefficient, but it would work, right?

Lenovo Ideapad K1 One-Click Root (Mostly)

First, please forgive me if this is posted in the wrong section. It seemed most appropriate.
Second, I take no credit for anything here except for writing the .bat file here used to do the work, as well as assembling the files as per the original post.
All credit goes to djmwj and his article found here:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/8722-lenovo-ideapad-k1-rooting-guide-messy/
As the title states, it was very messy. The OP figured out how to make it go, but it was a bit fuzzy to follow. So, I thought I'd help folks out a bit and clean things up.
So, I took the instructions presented in the OP, and condensed them into one download with one .bat that does everything from start to finish, minus installing the respective drivers for ADB and NVFlash. However, the drivers are included in the download.
Instructions:
1. Extract K1Root.rar to the directory of your choosing.
2. Connect your tablet to your PC with the USB cable.
3. With your tablet off, press POWER+VOL_UP+VOL_DOWN until the screen turns on, but displays only black.
4. Windows should detect the device, but not install drivers.
5. Go into device manager, select the APX device, choose update drivers, and install the drivers from the aptly named NVFlash_Drivers folder.
6. Open up the NVFLASH_HOME folder and run the file K1Flash.bat
7. Make your desired choices when prompted, and enjoy.
Notes (PLEASE READ BEFORE USING):
THERE MAY BE BUGS! I used it on my own stuff before releasing, and all of the essential components work as they should, however, there may possibly be a minor hiccup somewhere in the script. This should not damage anything. If you have doubts, you're welcome to examine the .bat and check it for yourself.
Please be gentle. I am not a full-time developer. I just wrote this to help make the process simpler for people.
The OP suggests you download and read the partition table, and then name the backup files based on that. This script names the backup files based on the flash.cfg script referenced in the OP, which is what controls the flashes used anyway. So, there shouldn't be any irregularities, however, I can't speak for every device on the planet.
This does NOT use the latest OTA updates. The rooted files being flashed are the default ones from the original download. You can easily adapt this to any files generated from the latest OTA files by simply dropping them in the NVFLASH_HOME file.
To install the SU properly, you have to install ADB drivers midway through the script. There's probably a way around this, but I didn't find it to be too inconvenient.
The ADB drivers are also located in the NVFLASH_HOME folder. Just do like you did when installing drivers in step #5, but instead point to NVFLASH_HOME.
Um...um...
That should be it. Obviously, use at your own risk. Let me know if there are problems with the script, and I will fix them.
Oh, and party on, Wayne.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AG10XE25
EDIT:
Attached is an updated .bat file which fixes a few errors in the original script, plus adds more userability. Just extract to the NVFLASH_HOME folder and run.

You may want to change the title to Ideapad K1, I don't know if this will work for the Thinkpad tablet.
Thanks for this, I just picked up this tablet ($250 at staples) and was worrying about having to tackle linux and "compiling" just to be able to get hulu.com working. You're a lifesaver.

Wow. Yeah, I'm pretty sure the key used is just for the Ideapad. Thanks for pointing that out. My dumb a$$ must've blanked out and just used the group name when posting.
And just to be fair, the original poster does include everything needed to do stuff in windows as well - it's just very hard to discern from the post.
question
Is anyone working on a custom ROM for this tablet? I am hopeing that there will be at least a few custom roms available at some point in the near future.

We need to be able to root and unlock the bootloader first.
Does the root method work on the 121211 update?
Or is there a way to flash back to the older firmware?
the OTA update 12 12 11.... seems to be update.zip style with no .img files inside. just loose files like normal rom updates. doesnt seeem like you can drop the files in as suggested. or i have the wrong OTA....
oh and is this for LINUX as the OP or work in windows too??
Hi, I was wondering, is this procedure works for the Lenovo ThinkPad 1838-25U? I'm thinking to buy it to give a test ride, i sold my Transformer 101 to buy the Prime but it seems like Asus is taking vacations on the delivery shipments. Is this a good tablet? or is better to wait for another version?
READ THE POST
IDEApad not THINKpad. no it wont work.
First of all- thank you so much for creating this script! I have been putting off rooting this device due to the "messy" nature of the original post.
I was hoping you could help me troubleshoot, I have tried both the new K1 root application and the original .bat file. I know the drivers are working because the script makes it as far as creating and formatting partitions and successfully pushes the bootlooder.bin but then:
bootloader.bin sent successfully
file not found: recovery.img
failed executing command 2147483647 NvError 0x4
command failure: create failed
I've tried everything I can think of... any ideas?
Thanks again.

It means you are not in APX mode. Read the PDF and follow the instructions for installing the APX drivers. This should fix your issues.http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...9&postcount=50

I recently got this device and looking for a way to root this device without having to roll back to the factory default rom and then having to update again using OTA.
Question, am I in luck, is that at all possible or do I have to really rollback and reinstall everything again?
Thanks!

How to root your Samsung Galaxy Gear!

How to Root the Samsung Galaxy Gear:
Firstly:
I AM IN NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM, RESPONSIBLE FOR THE OUTCOME OF YOU FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS! IT WORKED FOR ME, BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN IT WILL ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY, WITHOUT A DOUBT, WORK FOR YOU!
Root Guide:
Preparation:
1. Install Samsung's official ADB Drivers from here.
2. Get Cydia Impactor from here.
3. Go to your Gear's settings and enable ADB
To Root:
1. Plug in the device and let it install all the drivers it needs.
2.Unzip the Cydia Impactor folder you just downloaded
3. Open Impactor from the folder you just unzipped
4. The default "# drop SuperSU su to /system/xbin/su" is what you need
5. Click start
6. Once the process completes, the device will still look normal, but is fully rooted!
I will have to leave it to you guys to install a utility like SuperSU or Superuser until there is a functioning recovery for the Gear.
Though this isn't necessary, however, and in some most cases doesn't work! SuperSU or Superuser just manage what apps access the SU command, so if you trust the app, it should be ok!
Enjoy your newly rooted device!
How to restore back to stock:
Preparation:
1. Get Odin 3.07 from here.
2. Find the proper .md5 file from here.
(If you are in the US, just select the Great Britain file.)
3. Install Samsung ADB drivers from here.
To Restore:
1. Plug in the Gear
2.From being powered on, (Bootable or not) press and hold the button of the right until the Gear shows "Samsung Galaxy Gear Rebooting" and rapidly press the button until you get to the "Select REBOOT MODE" screen.
3. Highlight "Download" in the list by pressing the button to scroll.
4. Press and hold the button for 3 seconds (and let go! The screen won't change immediately) and let it boot into download mode.
5. Unzip the .zip file you just downloaded that contains the ROM itself.
6. Select the PDA button and open the .MD5 file in the folder you just unzipped.
7. DO NOT ALTER ANYTHING ELSE!!!
8. Click the start button, and you'll be back to stock within a couple of minutes! (Most likely with any data on /data kept and all sideloaded apps remaining.)
Any questions? Ask below! Want to help me make a ROM or Recovery? PM me!
I tried this on OSX and now have a device that won't connect via USB anymore, even after factory reset! Proceed with caution.
EDIT : The device would still connect to adb in 64-bit Ubuntu, and and after re-running the application I have a rooted device. Busybox has been installed and all seems to be working well now.
Oops!

I'm actually not sure what's going on with this thing now. Busybox said the device was rooted, and it installed, but I can't seem to run any commands that require root.
Are you running Superuser or SuperSU, and what version?
Does this mean i will be able to use this with my HTC one? Im a newbie when it comes to this but id love to buy this watch to use with my stock 4.2 HTC One. Thanks.

Haven't rooted mine yet. But seems like the unroot feature in supersu should work

This is great news! Thank you sir for creating an account. Just to share ur find. Who knows this might even make it to XDA wall on home page! But I do have to ask, how did you know Cydia Impactor would do the trick?
To answer some questions...
Ok, Firstly, mounting the gear should never have been possible... I know I have tried!
The entire process of rooting a device is simply getting the file "su" into /system/bin/ but the trick is getting it in there without root privileges! The truth is SuperSU or Superuser aren't ACTUALLY needed, they actually just regulate how apps access the "su" command.
To use the gear with any watch would require a new ROM which I know NOTHING about, but I am looking into modding the first one. (I recommend setting the screen DPI to 100)
And to answer @trevor7428 , I am an iPhone and Android user, and I do a lot of research into how exploits work. Saurik who does a lot of iPhone security research, mentioned the "Master Key" ("Hack 99% of Android devices") exploit, how to exploit it (Where impactor came from!), and also how to fix it. Thus, I thought that the worst that would happen is that it would fail!

After typing that about mounting the gear I immediately questioned whether that ever worked. :silly:
That being said, I have the su file in system/bin and system/xbin/, but anytime I try to run something that requires root it says "must be suid to work properly". After trying to find a fix for that for a few hours without luck I've run out of ideas.
Better yet, why not make a backup of the rooted rom that can be flashed via Odin now that download mode is more accessible?
Someone please sticky this so its easy to find

Hmmm... payload... could you possibly upload a picture? or...
1.is it a custom launcher?
2.do they have custom icons, or are they the stock "these apps have no icon" icons?
3.if it is a custom launcher, are the apps uninstallable?

No, no custom launcher yet.
It's in the "stock" app drawer and they do not have an icon, just the generic green android guy.
I'll see if I can get a screenshot

Well I loaded Nova and was able to uninstall them with that so all it well!
On a side note...I found out something you guys may have already figured out, but figured it was worth sharing just in case.
To get into download mode:
1. Hold down power until the screen says "rebooting"
2. Start tapping the power button until you get into the "Boot" menu
3. tap power to cycle to "Download"
4. long press (~3 seconds) to select Download mode
You can then odin the image referenced in the OP.
Handy if you screw up the build prop changing the DPI like I did initially

a) you can get notifications from 3rd party sms apps like handcent and
b) if you can respond to sms by typing yet? its pretty annoying when you get a text on your gear and you're somewhere loud, then you gotta take out your phone and respond. please if anyone knows these answers cant wait for this to take off....pretty excited.
this looks interesting! will have to try it on my gear

[TOOL] crosshAtchDB: Pixel 3 XL Flash Tool

I'm trying to create an application to make flashing files on our pixel devices easier.
Features:
Install ADB
Unlock bootloader
Reboot to bootloader
Download and install factory images
Download and install TWRP
Download Magisk
Easy to use GUI
Enjoy! :good:
Credit to Dees_Troy and bigbiff for TWRP image.
Feel free to modify and hack away at the source.
WARNING: I am not responsible for anything that goes wrong using this tool, it works fine on my windows 10 machine, and tested on windows 7. However, make sure you know what these tools are doing beforehand.
New update!
Beta Release
What's New?:
All new base being built.
Better .exe support (requires installing the app)
Console interface for now.
Removed some features that were broken in the old app, will add them back one-by-one, but this time, not until they work 100%.
Usage:
Just follow the prompts on screen.
Allows picking the files for booting TWRP or pushing files via ADB.
Install:
Easy method (requires install): https://github.com/boostedd2/crosshatchdb/blob/boostedd2-patch-1/crosshAtchDB-2.3-win32.msi
Install the app with the provided .msi, choose where you want to install it. Open the folder where you installed it and run the crosshatchdbbeta.exe.
Build/Run from source:
Requires:
source .py file: https://github.com/boostedd2/crosshatchdb/blob/boostedd2-patch-1/crosshatchbeta.py
cxfreeze config: https://github.com/boostedd2/crosshatchdb/blob/boostedd2-patch-1/setup.py
To run from source, just install Python on your PC, then from cmd window run : "pip install requests".
Then just double click on the crosshatchdbbeta.py file.
To build the .exe:
You need both files from above.
Install Python
python -m pip install cx_Freeze --upgrade
With setup.py and crosshatchdbbeta.py in the same directory, run "python setup.py build"
This is a very minimal release, I will continue to fix any bugs and add features once they are working better.
Thank you so much for this! I was actually going to unlock my bootloader and root today after work. Now it will only take 2 minutes instead of 20!
I appreciate it and will report back later after testing!

No problem, quick usage guide to make sure it goes smooth.
Enable OEM unlock in developer options, also enable ADB debugging.
Plug in your phone, run crosshatchdb.
Select option 9, this will auto download and extract adb to your c: drive.
Select option 1 to check for ADB devices, check the box on the dialog that pops up on your phone.
All set. You can download magisk directly to your phone or push it from your PC.
Reboot bootloader option 2, from here you can unlock the bootloader(formats your phone btw).
Setup your phone, enable ADB debugging again and your free to reboot bootloader and download/boot TWRP to flash magisk.(use TWRP img not zip)
Hopefully these instructions are not too confusing, it is pretty easy once you do it once, and the tool really does make the next time you do it faster.
Tested on a windows 7 virtual machine and my own personal windows 10 machine.

The time to unlock a Google purchased Pixel isn't the issue. The factory reset just sucks if you run stock for any time before doing it.
Two things I think you should add.
1) adb sideload for when adb works in twrp.
2) adb logcat for our great developers, so there isn't an excuse for getting them a logcat in event that they need one.

Good idea, should be easy to pipe logcat output to a text file.
ADB sideload can be added as well, next update will probably be when TWRP ADB is fixed, or sooner depending how long that takes.
Already thinking of ways to make the current version of this script more automated, but I like to err on the side of explicit is better than implicit.
Thanks for the ideas.

This.
It is a good option of you want an easy way to just boot TWRP in 1 button, if you don't want to install a custom recovery like TWRP.
New update coming soon, decided that command line didn't work very well for this purpose...
Also working on making all of the actions smoother.
New update released, let me know if you have any issues or feature requests, still waiting for TWRP to be fully functional before adding ADB sideload options.
CMD window still wants to hang out for now, you can minimize it though if needed.

Yes, that is on the list for next update.
When TWRP is more reliable I will probably add options for copying TWRP backups to your PC as well.
Still need to get rid of the cmd window and cut down on having to open browser windows or file selection dialogs, just to get it feeling less clunky.

Glad to hear it helped out, working on some new updates to make the UI even better.
Trying to make all of the download links update automatically too, just working on some web scraping again ?
It's a nice little tool if something gets messed up, also for new users to get up and running.
New update released, Download factory image has been overhauled, it will now download the image automatically, check the SHA-256 hash, then unzip it to the correct folder, just run the factory image flash option after and you're set. Be patient, the image.zip can take a while to download, takes several minutes for me, but I'm only at 50mbps down...and who knows if google throttled my connection after all the web scraper testing lol.
Pull TitaniumBackup folder via ADB to your PC, pull TWRP backup might not work it failed for me, but will not cause any damage to your PC or phone, ADB is copying the files read only from your device, and ADB just seemed to crash on me.
CMD window is still here for now until I pipe the output to the built in box on the GUI and bind keyboard keys to interact with it. For now it will help with any debugging.

It will work for pixel 3, but you will need to download the factory image for your blueline device and extract it into c:\crosshatch_stuff\platform-tools. This program is basically a gui wrapper for ADB commands.
Just stick with the ADB tools section and find the downloads you need separately.

It will still install ADB and allow you to run reboot bootloader, boot TWRP, factory reset, ADB logcat, unlock bootloader.
But the only extra part that is manual would be extracting the factory image into the c:\crosshatch_stuff\platform-tools folder.
