Hi! On my I9000, the bluetooth commands for pause track, next track etc. don't work anymore. It's not a problem with the headset, it works on other phones. The problem started on 2.2 and I thought a firmware update might fix it, so I have already updated my firmware to XXJPY via Kies - no success. So my question would be the following: Is there a way to "reset" only the bluetooth functions to get the avrcp commands back without having to do a full wipe? Thanks for your help. T.

Hello. I am running Simpfinity 1.5 with default kernel it came with and modem, In their thread here in the forums they say I can install the stock modem and kernel to get bluetooth working.
My question is do I need to undo all the lagfixes before installing a stock kernel and modem ?
I am trying to get bluetooth voice dialing to work. Not just clear up the sound, altho clear sound is better than nothing
I am open to a new ROM all together.. I NEED bluetooth. Thanks guys.
Download and try cognition 3.04....this has the default rogers modem.
Alternatively, at the bottom of the first post of simpfinity they have a link to get bluetooth writing.
Note that bluetooth voice dialing is not enabled on the rogers captivates.
I don't think you need to disable the lag fixes. I have flashed numerous roms without any issue.

What do you mean not enabled ? When I had stock 2.2, I click the button on my headset and It looks like its listening but its not.
Are you telling me that I will never get voice dialing in my rogers I896 ?
I've been having problems with my phone not staying connected to my Parrot mki9200 in car handsfree kit.. It will pair fine, then will connect ok but then at any random moment will just disconnect for no reason. I then have to reboot to reconnect.
I am currently on 2.2.1 roms kitchen with ZSJPG modem. I have flashed different modems and tried multiple firmwares on my parrot.
I have also tried the bluetooth fix app from the market.
Is the firmware for the bluetooth in the modem?
Any suggestions anyone?
TIA
From what I can find, and not being a dev myself, it appears that the Bluetooth stack is part of the Kernel, not the Modem in Android. That would make sense as the Kernel is where the hardware drivers are located.
Which Kernel are you using with your ROM? Perhaps you may want to try a different one and see if that solves the problem.
Yeah i'm currently on Hardcores kernal before that just stock froyo 2.1 then 2.2
Maybe try to swap to another kernel, such as Damian's or SOK, just to see if it changes the situation.
Remember to disable any lagfixes before flashing.
Thanks I'll give that a shot and see if anything changes.
SOLVED! See next post.

Hi,
I flashed a custom rom (Imaginary ICS Final) on my Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5830 and now the in-call audio wont play over the bluetooth stereo in my Toyota Yaris.
Music plays fine through the speakers, but the actual call audio occurs solely on my phone speaker in headset mode.
I have tried:
- removing the existing "GT-S5830" from the paired devices and re-pairing them on the stereo OSD.
- pairing the phone as "audio/phone" and then as just "phone" following the stereo manual to the tee.
- restoring my nandroid backups in CWM, but they don't work.
- flashing some different custom and stock roms with CWM, but the issue persists.
- flashing an official stock firmware from samfirmware.com with odin, but the issue persists.
Can anyone suggest further avenues of troubleshooting for me to try?
See next post.
So I did some more research and there were a few people talking about how the wireless and bluetooth radios operate according to the baseband version.
Then there were also people talking about how flashing the firmware for a different region often fixes issues with the wireless/bluetooth.
Anyway, I went back to the samfirmware page and downloaded the latest firmware for Vietnam (version 2.3.6 PDA: S5830DXKT7) and flashed it via odin. (The baseband with this firmware is S5830DXKT5)
Audio now goes through my stereo again!
I am experiencing headphones detection problem with my Xperia Z1. Headphones are correctly detected first time after reboot. If I try to plug them in after that phone doesn't detect them any more (external speaker is used even after I've plugged them in).
I contacted Sony support and they suggested it might be Smart connect. I cleared it's cache. Didn't help. I disabled/removed it. Didn't help either. I downgraded to an older ROM (don't remember if it was 4.2 or 4.3) and it worked as expected. Then I downloaded fresh .ftf of latest rom. Same problem re-appeared. Tried with Kit Slim custom ROM (based on 4.4) and experienced same problem.
It is obviously a SW problem. Is there any app which would allow me to manually direct sound to either destination? I have SSH server running on my phone. Is there any way to do this via shell? Any API call that I could utilize? I have no experience with Android dev but I am SW engineer and I think I could implement a simple app like this if someone would point me in the right direction.
Thanks!
it's definitely something with smart connect. had the same issue some days ago...... unistalled smart connects updates and installed them again -> works!
Tried that already. Didn't help
I contacted Sony support again and they suggested to try PC Companion's repair feature. What will that do? How that relates to the fact I'm running a rooted custom kernel?
Thank you!
hm try to flash .157 with flashtool. after that flash trinity kernel via flashtool and fastboot -> should work like charm dont forger to save your data before that I did the same and it worked for me
Where could I download that?
My FM radio on my z3 compact will only play if I press TrackID with that on it plays selected channel as normal but you lose sound as soon as TrackID is switched off.
problem too
I have such a problem since I updated to lollipop!
Didn't try With trackid but my radio only works if I turn off the screen with the power button!
Works before updating to lollipop !
French language, no provider lock, nothing modified just updates trough pc companion and installing and using apps.
Why does my fm radio not play?
Thanks still waiting for lollipop any other problems with it?
Saw your post while I was solving my own problem. If you still haven't got it sorted out, see if you have Google Now enabled for any screen. If so, switch it off and try your radio again.
@flamand,
Thanks I haven't search a solution since that and I tried that and it works. Without restarting the radio. Android 5.1.1 build 23.4.A.0.546
