From my Browser DL the yahoo website (yahoo.com). When I play any of the videos they put up to view they play back beautifully but without any sound. I get sound on any other site, news reports, videos, you tube ect. Is this a problem with anyone else???? Seems to be just yahoo.com with this problem on my N1 after DL Gingerbread.
Thanks

did you just flash a new ROM and are you an AT&T user?
im sorry I have a stock rom with all the recommed software for the touchflo 2D to work and everything works other then you tube app it just won't play the vidoe
proxy?
you have the youtube app, but it wont find/ play videos (blank screens)?
did you remove the hidden proxy? there is a cab for it floating around here if you didnt.
If you can't find a way to fix it, an excellent application called youtubeplay should work just as well. Not quite as pretty, but it gets the job done and even can download and extract mp3's from the videos. Or get skyfire if you have 3G.
Dave
And FYI: I could never get the HTC youtube application to work.
YouTubePlay is far superior to the HTC YouTube app - in that it can actually play high quality videos without freezing.
I notice on my G1, whenever i tried looking for an OFFICIAL Music Video of anything on the Youtube APP it does not show it at all. Even though it is there
Whenever i search it via google or youtube.com, it showed the video, but when played via youtube app it said video cannot be played.
Anyone know of any solution for this? Beside downloading it via keepvid.com?
Sorry it may be a stupid question, but its aggrevating me.. what the point of youtube when you cant even watch your fav music video.. the real ones lol

I don't know of anyway to bypass this. It is very annoying. The only alternative I know of is to try the YouTube downloader.apk
Sometimes when a video is freshly added, it won't show up on the mobile version for a while. Usually the official videos are added like every minute and then pulled from youtube. Maybe the video is getting pulled and then just added, that's why its not converted to mobile yet? That's my guess.
Ahh that sucks I guess there nothinn we can do I think somee sort of filter on the youtube browser. Is there any aftermarket browse that would the same as youtube app?
There's no filter.. Our devices only play mp4 or 3gp (mobile formats), so the vidoes on our youtube app or the ones we can play from the mobile youtube site are in mobile phone format. When a video is uploaded to youtube.com, it takes a while to get converted to a format playable on mobile phones. That's why are unavailble for a while (on our devices) after they're uploaded on youtube.com.
Do you understand now?
Videos that violate copywrite laws are pulled from youtube usually before they are converted to a mobile format.
Before I get Vogue and port Android, can anyone confirm whether video streaming works from orb.com?
You can go to test.orb.com to verify.
I was not able to play video from the web address you posted (it threw an error message), but I was able to download OrbLive (free version) from Android Market and stream music from my house on my phone while at work. I am not sharing any video files so i can't test it right now. Maybe I need a different media player installed to play the video file from the web link you posted?
Hope that helps somehow.
Hi,
my YouTube app is not working property. I can watch videos on m.youtube.com but that is all. On any other web site it is just not working. When the pages loads the video doesn't.
I tried HR and reinstall the app. That did not help at all.
Anyone with same problem..?
Whats your version number of the youtube app do you have
Sent from my futuristic phone
Well the latest one.. It is not working since i got the phone over a month ago..
SO it is working to you guys..?
It is working to my friend on HTC Trophy so i thought that it can be just O2 UK HD7 having this problem..because they fiddled with the IE..
All the youtube app does is open m.youtube.com and plays the videos.
It redirects www.youtube.com to m.youtube.com, proivded your IE settings are set to mobile view, not desktop view.
Mines an unlocked o2 HD7 (on t-mobile) and it seems to be working fine like described...
YouTube App on WP7 can also play YouTube videos on other sites.
For example you can add youtube video to the post in forums like XDA.. Or if you go to pocketnow.com all videos there are on YouTube..
And then when you are on site that has YouTube video you can jsut play it.. When the page loads you can then click on the little image of the video and YouTube WP7 App will start playing it..
Well and that is not working for me.. When the page loads the video doesn't...
All i can do is go to m.youtube.com that works ok...

As far as I know and have read the youtube app is simply a wrapper for m.youtube.com which doesn't always have all the videos.
Well you can see it on this video. That this plugin should be able to play YouTube video on other sites. But it just doesn't work on my phone.

Hello,
Just recieved my woot.com gtablet today. Installed TNT Lite 4.4.0 on it. Browser is Dolphin HD 4.50.
For the past few hours ive been looking for a player that will play .wmv streams from a website (ex: click "newsvideo.wmv" on a website and a player opens to play it)
More specifically I am trying to get it to work with this one: etvnet(dot)com
The windows media player on the marketplace has bad reviews, so I'm hesitant to buy it.
If anyone could throw out a suggestion, it would be greatly appreciated
Seems like Moonlight/Silverlight could work on this website instead if I use the in browser player.
Anyone know of a Moonlight app / plugin that works on gtab?
