Here U go flashable zips via CWM 2.5.1.3
Before flash do nandroid backup (just in case)
Nice to see my battery icons in other mods Can i ask something? What else is changed in this framework? (just wondering what are the differences between those and mine for LeeDroid - maybe i could help in someway to fit them more into LeeDroid)
Oh come on.. Now I got a bootloop.
yes, I flashed the .zip with CWM 2.xxx.
What should I do now?
Restore nandroid at first (thats why i asked to make it just in case ). Than try to flash zip with Fastboot mode OFF (settings/aplications). If still wont work i have no idea wtf... u can try to push it via adb aswell. i mean only framework-res.apk to system/framework

Not quite the same mate second zip says it all when charging its numbered
Plus its just the framework .apk its a case of replacing the framework in the Rom to make the battery icon become default battery in the Rom losing nothing

Restore your back up and follow the guide the zips I attached work great and or not flashable on their own via cw have to do it the long way but it does become part of the Rom as default its easy thing to do and works great

Maybe he`s trying to flash zips i gave few post above. But don`t understand why it bootloops. Just made simple update script as on my thread. Those bootloops are very strange anyway ... Some people have them and some not.

maybe because he trying to flash over the the notification power control with new framework which would rewrite the whole thing would it not
Oh, well, I meant to write notification power control but wrote powerwidget.
And as I said, I don't think it has anything to do with the .zip I flashed because it's working before flashing the power control thing.

installation was successful. everything seems to be working.
one question to the forums, and i hope i dont offend the OP, but if the ROM is not signed, and since i had to install it without verification, does this mean it is more likely that the creator has added something "bad" to the ROM? Again, im not trying to offend you OP, just gotta make sure you know.

You know what would be cool. If someone made a lockscreen using the stargate. And you had to dial a stargate address to unlock the screen. That would be awsome.

Even if its signed there is a possibility of something bad, as you put it. Anyone could create a key and sign it. I don't believe there have been any malicious roms but that is what the community is here for. I'm sure ppl smarter then myself disect everything in a Rom to make sure nothing is malicious. Props to OP will be testing tonight.

In the end, theres really not too much one could do to watch for "bad stuff." I don't even know what bad stuff you'd be looking for though, keyloggers? If theres one of those, all you'd have to do is double check the input section to make sure it's a legit IME. Other than that, ATK would help you look for anything else.
The fact of the matter is most of these roms just aren't signed, unless you're building from aosp, or you take the keys out of the rom that you're modifying.

I'm using Pauls Pre-bake. Worked the first time for me but I did it in the most round about way ever! Probably due to me flashing the ROM and theme before my morning coffee..
I doubt any of the sequence I did played a part in getting it to work..but here goes
1) Titanium backed up my user apps
2) Booted into recovery, did a full wipe and flashed Paul's pre-baked R4 ROM.
3)Booted back into the phone, changed the date/time to the correct one, and pulled titanium backup from the market.
4)Did a titanium restore(only user apps)
5)Noted everything was working fine with the new ROM and rebooted into recovery again (to flash the theme)
6) Now here;s the doozy, intending to flash the theme I flashed Pauls rom again!
7)Had to wait for the ROM flash to finish and flashed the theme immediately after.
8) booted back into the phone and everything worked.
I seriously doubt you have to do it the way I did for it to work, but i figured I should included my flashing steps just in case you wanted to know

Strange !
With Desire HD so many Stuff installed via CWM, never get a Bootloop.
Here with r4 and P990 i got many.
- battery percentage installed, loop.
- theme installed, loop.
Using r4.
Any Ideas ?
Best regards.
Sascha
The simple error
after trying 500 times to get the theme to work, i found the error, there are missing a _ in the zipfile.
Doc_Themev.0.2 change it to Doc_Theme_v.0.2, and it works like a charm.
Reporting to say it still works with r5.. but not sure what I lost from r5 because I flashed it

Hello,
I have made some modifications to MaliciousKen's mod of the battery percentage for stock rom:
Changes:
- the main change is to show the percentage even during charging; I based on MaliciousKen's graphic files and just made some changes in the xml
- based on v10d stock rom's framework-res.apk
- retain music notification in the status bar (i.e. same as stock version, you can disable it in Music's setting; there seems no problem in v10d version on this)
This is my first time modifying an apk! Please have a try and let me know if there is any problem
Any screenshots pls??
Will it work on mcr10?
No. This version is for stock ROM.
How do i install this ?

Sorry if it has caused trouble. Now I have uploaded another one based on MaliciousKen's version directly. So hopefully this should work for v10a/b/c.
Do make a backup (at least copy out your original framework-res.apk) before you try.

I tried to modify the stat_sys_battery.xml and stat_sys_battery_charge.xml
and I have also put the image file in correct place..

I just got boot loop afterall -__-
Anything I have missed ?
the 1st xml is for the normal display of the icon while the other one is during charging (animation)
i used apktool 1.3.1
(note the latest apktool is 1.3.2 but this one appears buggy, i also had the boot loop with it)

I would reflash your rom... what you could also do (which would basically be the same is unzip/unrar the rom file that you're using and grab the battery images out.. It should be in the framework-res.apk and replace the battery images in framework_classic then flash) That should work, if not just reflash your rom

I know that this won't solve your porblem, but the next time you are about to "play" with system files, remeber to do a Nandroid BackUp from CWR.
Then you can always go back to befor you changed anything.
Or next time, you can do an adb pull and get a copy of the file first then flash what you please. You'll always have a copy on your PC

I found one called "Always Battery" on the Market, looks pretty good and the position is adjustable as well (it can be placed anywhere on the screen, even on top of the regular battery indicator). I think it's the best option for any un-rooted Inc S.
That's great actually but I still need a stock battery icon.
