You can display the latest threads from your favorite forum/subforum right on your homescreen, and when you tap it, the Android browser takes you directly to the thread.
Here's how:
In the Android Market, install 'Minimal RSS Widget'
When you place the widget on your homescreen, you are give the opportunity to choose from some pre-arranged RSS feeds, and you can also enter a custom feed.
Choose custom, and in the box where you enter the address of the custom feed, enter:
''http://forum.xda-developers.com/external.php?type=RSS2&forumids=XXX'' without the quotes
Where the XXX is on the end of the RSS address, you enter the forum id# for whatever forum you wish to be displayed.
Here are most of the HD2 subfora id's to make it easy on you:
HD2 General:532
WM 6.5 Q&A/General:988
WM 6.5 Rom Development:534
WM 6.5 Themes & Apps:535
WP7 Q&A/General:987
WP7 Development:977
WP7 Themes & Apps:978
Android Q&A/General:989
Android SD Development:735
Android NAND Development:928
Android Themes & Apps:979
You can have as many feeds as you want, as far as I know.
If you want a subforum that's not listed above, just go to it in your browser and look for the 3 numbers at the end of the address after forumid= and use them.
I did not make Minimal RSS Widget, so if it doesn't work on your phone/ROM, don't complain to me, contact the maker of the app.
It works well for me, and even has a transparency option so only the text shows up on your screen.
Thanks appreciate it

I have spent hours and hours trying to work this out and have read many posts and threads on this subject, but try as I might, I am unable to successfully modify a couple of seemingly simple things in SPB Shell 2.
1. I would like to change the icons at the bottom of the shell pages.
2. I would like to change the icons in the nine icon program screen to look like this....

I have changed what I thought were the right files but have been unable to make it work.
Can some kind sole please tell me:
3. The names of the files that need to be change for 1 and 2 above.
4. Where they are located.
The location question may sound strange, but I have some file names in more than one location within the SPB folder and its subdirectories, as this link shows. http://torbwine.com/Stuff/spb.htm
Many thanks.

Hi! I need to access this webpage from my X1: http://www.conso.ro/cotatii.html
The page has three JAVA elements that won't show up in Opera 9.5 or Opera Mini 4.2. Trying to open that page with Skyfire will just show me the loading bar fill up to almost 2/3, then nothing.
I'm only interested in the first two JAVA elements - the tables. Is there any way I can see them on my X1, using any software - not necessary the browser?
I just try it on my x1. It's ok to show in IE after I upgrade my phone to wm6.5
Thanks, domchan.
I have WM6.1. In every browser, including IE, I get the message "You must have Java plugin installed and enabled. Please download one from e.g. Sun" inside the page, where the Java elements should have been.
This means that 6.5 has this plugin? Can anyone else confirm?

This is what I can see. Is this ok or you talk abot something else? 6.1 Jack's 3.8Medium ROM with v.15969 of Opera (from his package).
BR!
Nope, not OK. You can try it first on a PC to see the difference. You get the same "You must have a Java plugin installed or enabled...." message three times, where the Java elements should've been.
I attached a picture from a PC browser to see what's missing. I don't care about the flash banners up and right, but I need those Java tables...

Description:
Have you ever just wanted to use Google Reader on your Windows Phone without all the fluff? Doppelreader gives you just that!
Doppelreader has two themes: Reader and Metro. Reader is a very familiar interface, so any Google Reader user will feel right at home using it. If you prefer a more integrated interface, Metro is for you.
Doppelreader contains many of the features you would expect such as the ability to add and remove stars, likes, and shares. You can also add notes, leave comments, and share items via email, text, and Twitter. Plus, you can add/edit/remove feeds and tags. You can also use Google’s search to discover new feeds to follow.
Not only does Doppelreader have “Mark all as read,” it also has “Mark previous as read.” This allows you to mark the items that you have scrolled past as read for better organization!
Doppelreader allows you to view webpages in Instapaper and add items to your Instapaper bookmarks.
New in version 1.1 is Tabbed Browsing! You can now open multiple items in tabs and continue to view your reading list while they load!
The list of features goes on and on!

Hello XDA friends,
How many apps on Play Store that sync your notes with Google Task? Many!
But since I didn t feel confortable with any of them I decided to make mine, with an alternative Holo UI, that take inspiration from Google Now, Google Keep, and made it more intuitive.
The app is mainly designed to make you feel all the features in your hands, even using a smartphone (tested on my 4.3" Galaxy S2 display) and offer simultaneusly 2 type of navigation: dropdown (useful to skip from a list to another when number of lists is huge) and swype.
This app as stated before lets you sync your current task with Google Task, so everything is synced to every device you got, with your PC and tablet, android, iOS and Windows!
Isn t it great?
Support to Password, Reminders, Due Date, all your lists are available and you ll never lose a meeting anymore thanks to notification feature (expanded notification for android 4.1+ users).
A touch of color to help you highlight your actions, nice animations and a complete settings menu to customize your app, your sincs, your passwords, your notifications.
THIS IS NOT MY WORK BUT THE WORK OF Mirko ddd,JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE IT
Please visit Mirko ddd thread and click thanks
LINK TO THE APP HERE
ooooooh thanks Wis!
