OK, so...it seems no matter what launcher or theme I get for Android, I still have this dully, gray top bar with the same battery icon, then same clock and the same signal icon.
There are clock widgets, battery widgets and signal meter widgets...but what is the point of just duplicating everything that is on the dull gray bar?
So I am asking, does anyone know if there is a way to hide the top bar on Android? Any launcher, theme or anything where I can get this thing out of my sight?
GDE home replacement has a full screen option on it, that hides the notification bar.
Pretty sure adw lets you hide the top bar

I'm using Adw withe the Gingerbread theme and have mine hidden.

Hide status bar
I like "ZEAM" . Its a very light, smooth running launcher . It ran faster/better than the stock launcher on my droid x (2.1/2.2) and actually FIXED some lag issues I had with changing screens and scrolling studder in the app drawer! I get my ZIO next week , it will be my project phone. I'm hoping ZEAM heips with the reported screen lag on it. If anyone is willing to try it please post results.
Vtl launcher has the option to hide it. Or use UOT Kitchen fo change it to your liking.

I've been trying out several of the hundreds of themes for adw launcher. I'd like to see what other people's themes are so I can kinda narrow down my choice since there are so many. So far I like fluxed and galaxy. I kinda wish there were more icons for fluxed though

I really like the droid x theme. I don't use the icons but it really has a really clean look. Especially the launcher bar and the dock bar.
I'll try it

Buuf theme is rad for the tons of icons available. Icons are unique & stylish. Market has ADW theme & 4 additional icon packs - all free =D. All I need is BetterCut to display them.

Hey all - I am using Virus Rom and Launcher Pro comes installed. I like the launch keys; are they stock or is it a special theme? I tried installing Launcher Pro on another Rom an noticed the launch keys were icons instead.
Sent from my ADR6400L using XDA App
The icons in yourscreenie are custom to the ROM. LP comes with the icons you saw when installing elsewhere. Those icons (the words) are probably available here somewhere. Try a search for "text icons" and I'm sure you'll find some.
Thanks!

It's called DreamLyfe.Original. You can download the demo version for free. It contains the dock and 5 icons. There's also a paid version which contains a lot. More details here: http://www.dreamlyfe.xtreemhost.com/original.html

I downloaded launcher pro icons which has a lot of different icon packs in it. Only problem is it force closes and gets buggy if you change the settings.
Has anyone else experienced the search bar bug (you have search bar on your homescreen, you search and the bar docks to the bottom of your notification bar) or the dialer bug (doesn't show recent calls in the dialer unless u dial and delete) in launcher pro?

Probably shouldn't belong here, BUT is there a way to get that "theme" for Launcher Pro?

going to try to make this image into analog clock later tonight
You're theme is bomb as are the icons. I would love to get your icons into widgetsoid. Is this possible? If you could make an app with just those icons for widgetsoid I would buy it. As of now there is only one alternative icon pack.
Edit: Well I guess only the Bluetooth is usable for my widgetsoid configuration. Thought there was a wifi too. Either way I can make it work!
Keep up your awesome work! Think I had a DX theme or two of yours too. Thanks

I have Circle Launcher Pro but i'm pretty noob with this, how do you add the icon package into Circle Launcher? Thanks for any help!
Download the zip and place that folder on your sdcard
Now you should be able to see them in gallery
When you add cl widget to homescreen you will need to set the launcher icon..
Then Select custom icon and locate in gallery

I tried using this launcher when the system dump got out from the nexus s 4g, the graphics....at least the app icons, look like crap so I went back to adwex.
The icons look fine when its on the nexus, but on the epic it doesnt look good.
Use two different launchers and switch between them, you will be able to tell the difference.
Icons are a little distorted not enough to not make me use it though....It runs smoother than the stock TW launcher and the TW 4.0 launcher.....I use zeam launcher too which works great but I have had no issues...the icons aren't
as crisp as above stated...but to each his own.
