Trekkie Boot Animation - Droid Eris Themes and Apps

Galaxy Class warp core. Can't claim credit for the animation itself, simply decompiled an existing animation (with permission ofc) and created a boot animation. Attachment at bottom.

Place the new "bootanimation.zip" in the "/data/local" folder and reboot.

Thanks. Simple, but interesting.

Yeah. No sound, only little over 30 frames. Was my first attempt at building one. I might go a little more complex on my next one.

[Bootanimation] Samsung Galaxy S (Hi & Low Res Devices)

I threw these together using Boot Animation Preview. They are originally from the Shutdown sequence of the Samsung Galaxy S (My Vibrant). No one has figured out how to make or extract the QMG files yet, but I figured I'd do this for now.

If the format of the QMGs are figured out, I will try to add support to BAP too for them and maybe even a "convert" function enjoy!
Since the links keep changing on skydrive, they are available here.
Links are fixed, not sure what happen to them. sorry about that.
Good, man, good.....
Links still don't work
I've download this zip file, but why my screen turn to black when it should broadcast the boot animation?

[BOOT ANIMATION] Ubuntuish Android

I have always like the simplicity of the Ubuntu boot screen. This is a "replication" but with Android. This is setup for a HDPI screen of 480x800 px. If you have bigger or smaller you can change the output size in the desc.txt
As always, I am not responsible for you lack of patience to read or your illiteracy that causes your phone to somehow stop responding.

Non-Flashable:
This file needs to goto your /system/media. Then you need to set permissions like this with Root Explorer
Flashable:
This file you drop on your sd card, boot into recovery, and flash zip from SD

You can download the avi of animation from here
You can download the bootanimation.zip from here
Installation is pretty simple.
From root explorer go to system/media on your phone.
Backup the original bootanimation.zip and copy this one there.
I am not responsible for any kind of damage this does to your phone.
And i doubt it is possible anyway
If anyone can "refine" it, please do so. Seems a little slow
And if someone can make it flashable from CWM or EXT4 i will be eternally grateful..
And please let me know what you think if you use it..

The /system folder is at the root of your devices internal storage. I've never used a PC to do this, only root explorer that has been granted su privileges. Go to /system/data and press the mount r/w button at the top right. Then long press the boot ani file to get this popup:
Then select permissions and make them match these:
You must be rooted to do this.
Click to collapse
