2) Place it in the SD card
3) Open ROM Manager
4) Tap "Install ROM from SD card"
Will my existing data be wipe out after flashing new themes?

Err, this is gonna to annoy you.

But I'm gonna be one of those newbies who doesn't know any shiat.
I want to install this theme: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=883291 (Gingerbread for Cyanogenmod)
SO, I have rooted with unrevoked.
I have installed ROM Manager via Market.
I know that I'm supposed to do a "Nandroid"? Which is a backup?
And then I'm supposed to install ClockworkRecovery Mod.
And then....
I'm lost from that point.
Do I have to install Cyan-mod FIRST?
Yeah, you can tell I'm pretty stupid.
HELP PLEASE!
PS And if you could provide instructions for installing Market too, that would be great.
Download cyanogenmod 6.1.1 and gapps package and put it on your sd card FIRST. Then do a backup through nanodroid. After the backup in clockwork go to wipe user data and click yes, then go down to wipe partition cache and click yes. After that, go to apply zip through sd card and it will show a list off all your folders, go to the folder where you put the cyanogen rom. Once you see cyanogen rom click it then press yes, it will start to install. Now after its done go back to apply zip from sd card and find the gapps. Click it and then it will install. Once both of those are done installing click reboot system. Thats how you get cyanogenmod on your aria. Now if you want to apply a theme, you have to make sure it is compatible with cm 6.1.1 and it is for the htc aria (liberty). If it is, download it and then go to clockwork and go to apply zip from sd card and find it. It will install then reboot system.
P.S. DO A NANODROID BACKUP BEFORE YOU APPLY A THEME, if you get into a bootloop, pull the battery out and then put it back in and push the volumd and power key at the same time. This will take you to bootloader mode from there push the down volume button and click recovery this is a way to enter clockwork recovery, then restore a backup so it doesnt bootloop. Finally, please post your problems in the general section.
Signatures are fancy.

Inntal new Androide market?

Hi
i installed Rocket 19.1 on my galaxy note but it has the old market.
How can i install the new market?
I tried to install the .zip for the new market but that didnt work (got it from this eybee´s Tutorial)
1. Download any free app from the old market
2. Download the new market referenced on the rocket Rom main post
3. Copy the zip file to your sdcard (I use external sd)
4. Reboot your phone into recovery using CWM
5. Install the ZIP file using the option in CWM
6. Reboot the phone
When your phone boots up you should have the new market (icon is the same as old)
This worked for me on Rocket Rom 19_1

Most of the gapps will be there. Play store will be there so whatever is not installed, download from there.

Q&A for CM10 roms on the Samsung Galaxy Exhibit 4g (n00b friendly)

OK so I know how crowded some of the forums have gotten, so I made this, for every question asked here I will update the op and next three posts with all the questions and answers. Basically I am trying to get ring of having to search hundreds of pages for an answer. So please be kind here.
Always remember to do a search of a question before you ask on xda. Not saying you need to search every single page of a forum, but don't ask a question that was answered 5 pages ago.
ALSO ITS AN XDA RULE SEE THIS RULE NUMBER 1

THIS IS N00B FRIENDLY
[Q] One thing I noticed is that now my connection shows as 3G instead of 4G. Do I really have a problem with my data connection or does this ROM exposes T-Mobile's fake 4G for what it is?
[A]You are correct it shows H when you are in Tmobiles"4G" area nothing wrong with your phone. Here is the link if you would like to have a 4g icon instead. 4G Icon Fix Link updated
[Q]In the stock ROM, they have a task manager which I get used to as a habit to run that and "Clear memory" from time to, but i can't find the task manager in CM10, where can i find that?
[A] I have tried this and it does work. Good find Task Manager
[Q]When upgrading from CM9 to CM10, what do I need to wipe? I read that I need to wipe data, cache, & dalvik. Do I also need to format system?
[A]in CWM, or TWRP whichever you prefer, do a romwipe and dalvic cache and then just install cm10, gapps, and whatever else you want i.e 4g icons tiptop mms. and your set

any updates on T-Mobiles Wifi calling APK? I have tried Groove IP, Google Voice and Sidecar... but they just don't work like the T-mobile version...
Thanks so much for the ROM, it's amazing (sorry, i can't post on the ROM thread, since i just made the account to say thank you, my account is still noob status )
Request for Help: CWM Clarifications for CM10 Install Prep
(UPDATE 11/29/12 8:55PM: Updated to include a complete installation list based on the advice I received from this and other threads, which worked flawlessly. This process assumes an upgrade from a stock ROM. I don't know if there are any differences moving from another custom ROM. Note that these instructions use CWM. Some developers prefer the newer option of twrp instead of CWM, found here.)
Thanks for opening up this CM10-specific, newbie-friendly thread, tazmaniondvl! I've been lurking through the CM10 thread for the past few weeks and have finally decided to take the plunge and install it. Since I've been unable to find a tutorial that meshes cleanly with the Exhibit-based CWM 6.0.1.2 package (found here), I compiled the below list of steps.
Thanks to all the developers taking the time to build these Exhibit packages, and helping us enjoy our phones even more!
Prerequisites:
Device is already rooted
Battery is charged.
There is sufficient(?) room on the SD card and internal memory.
The thread found here has the latest CM and gApps downloads.
Installation:
Download and install the Exhibit-based CWM 6 package. Verify CWM recovery is working.
Download and place the latest Exhibit-based CM10 and Exhibit-based gApps packages onto the External/Internal SD card.
Backup all user applications and data (contacts, call logs, messages) to the external SD using Titanium/Go Backup.
Make a list of all user applications you critically need at restart (backup/restore programs, preferred browser, basic utilities), to ease the reinstallation process.
Reboot to Recovery.
Select Backup from CWM menu to create a ROM backup.
Under the Wipe menu of CWM, choose to wipe the ROM.
Under the Wipe menu of CWM, choose to wipe the cache.
Under the Wipe menu of CWM, choose to wipe the cache/dalvik.
Install the CM10 ROM.
Install the gApps package.
Select "Fix Permissions" under the CWM Advanced menu.
Reboot, and enjoy the bliss that is CM10.
Download the apps used to backup up user data, and perform the restore.
Reinstall all applications from the Play store directly, rather than restore from backup.
Hi there.
Very green noob here. I just flashed my virgin Exhibit II 4G to 11/26/2012 build. I'm still restoring apps but everything looks good so far. One thing I noticed is that now my connection shows as 3G instead of 4G. Do I really have a problem with my data connection or does this ROM exposes T-Mobile's fake 4G for what it is?
Thanks for all the great work!

I don't think i've done this.. what do you do exactly? what does it do for the phone? I'm using CWM v6.0.1.2
It basically makes sure that the permissions for the system apps are set correctly to run.

Task Manager
Hi again,
I'm new to using custom ROM, now that I have played more around with the CM10 ROM, I got question: in the stock ROM, they have a task manager which I get used to as a habit to run that and "Clear memory" from time to time (since we all know how the stock rom is laggy and stuff), but i can't find the task manager in CM10, where can i find that?
I don't like the ones in play store as they seem to be a bit complicated (that can kill system processes?), is there a way to get the stock or stock-like task manager (is that touchwiz task manager btw?) in CM10?
I read the CM10 thread, and someone posted this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1876216
Can I download and use that even it's not for our phone??
Thank you in advance.

So i have looked over the link of what you have posted, i have not tried that or seen anything like it. However if you would like to try it, download the zip and flash in cwm or twrp, then go to advanced and fix permissions.
EDIT: Just flashed it and it works just fine. Just actually have to click on the app itself instead of holding the home button like on 2.3.6

You might just try Fast Reboot from the Play Store. Works instantly and doesn't actually reboot, just frees up a ton of RAM.
