Is there anything for the ns4g that allows the battery icon to be changed to something other than sock? not looking for a full theme, just a battery mod. I am currently on 2.3.7.
Thanks!

Thank you, not sure if it was my imagination but since switching to ics it seemed my screen was brighter even at 0%. This app fixed that I also think it helped with my battery drain problem. Have to use it a few more days to be sure, but it looks promising!

I noticed something unusual in the battery stats. I have been using the nexus for a while tonight but the awake time is not showing active even when the screen is on

That doesn't look quite right...have you restarted the device since you've upgraded to 4.2?
Just refresh and it will update..
Yep. It's been restarted. Also another thing I noticed is now the nexus 7 will charge on my Philips fidelio audio dock. Adi they must have changed something up with the charging aspect of the n7.

I'm having a problem with my phone not going into deep sleep, I've tried reboots and stopping background processes, it didn't help. Any ideas?

Try betterbatterystats from store then see what's actually happening behind the scenes.

Why are you complaining? You got more than 17 hours from only 35% battery loss! I get maybe 15 hours with 100% battery loss -_-
But to help your problem, install an app called greenify. It allows you to block certain apps from being active in the background.
I usually lose about 5% tho after 12 hours with everything off

Now go into betterbattery and click on wakelocks and such till you find the offender preventing sleep. Partial might show it as well. Scroll list and click on item to reveal the culprits

I'm getting 25% drain after about 9 hours of deep sleep on the newest Slimbeaan 4.1 release. I seem to remember only having 5-10% drain overnight on the first few builds. Is my battery dying or is it the newer builds?

Are you sure you mean 4.1 or 4.2 which has recently been released? The battery drain on 4.2 ROMs is an issue right now, although 4.1 isn't a whole lot better either.

I switched onto the 4.2 bandwagon a while ago and just recently reverted back to Slimbean 4.1 as I had remembered having great battery life on it. But after flashing and using for a few days, it's really not that much better. I still lose about 20-25% overnight on both 4.2 and 4.1 on the stock battery.
Well I just noticed something, it clearly says 17 hours, I assume on a 1+ year old battery am I correct? If so, then why are you complaining!!! Lmao you have Fantastic battery life!!!!

17 hours?
I'd be interested to know what ROM, etc. the OP is using to get 17+ hours of battery life out of this phone. Is it an extended battery? I'm getting pretty poor batter life after recently switching from Peach to Slimbean 4.1.2. Greenify seems to help.

I'm using smoothie jb v3 with dbk v8 and there's no extended battery. since my OP I've been able to get about 24 hours with 55% still left, I've been using "DS battery saver"

If you have noticed, most people with good battery life seem not to use the phone to make calls. I think searching for a network drains the battery
