Assuming you don't have a backup of the /efs folder, the best you can do is try flashing a stock 2.2 or 2.2.1 ROM through Odin and see if your IMEI is ok.

If you live in the uk my brother (rixsta- xda member) fixes these phones, he has helped lots of people..
He also has a jig and knows what he is doing, he will fix it and put any custom rom and kernel on you want and send it back to you.
He is very kind, you just have to pay for postage and a little donation

[Q] Galaxy S, sim card doesn't work after flashing rom

Hi everybody,
yesterday I flashed my phone with the original rom it was shipped and now the sim card does not work. The phone was network locked and I'm afraid that now it does not recognize any rom because of this.
I tried to do the procedure of simlock by rooting the phone but no codes appear after I launch sgux in the file.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

it could well be that your sim is dead if you left it in the phone while flashing. happened to me and it was quite weird, i could make and receive calls and messages, but 3g was dead. the guys at the 3 shop were quite amused as they have not seen anything like it before. anyway, try the sim in another phone, see if that works. ultimately flash to an unbranded rom and try a different sim on your phone.

You say you have the original shipped rom .
If thats the case just flash that back if it truly is the original shipped rom .
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Darky rom problems as usual ask the chief suspect .Its probable you did not flash correct CSC file for your network .

no connection with my sgs, please help! URGENT

Hi there, i have a really annoying and strange problem with my Galaxy s.
the phone can not establish connection with my simcard, wich means i cant call, text, or receive and calls or text messages. the simcard works good in my old htc hero and my xperia x10, and other simcards work fine in my galaxy too..
the phone seems to discover the card because it asks me for the pin code and it shows it has connection in the status bar.. but it never shows the gprs/3g/h icon anymore.. though i can connect to the internet with my phone.. and sometimes in the status bar it shows a little r (wich means roamin i guess) but i have roaming switched off in the settings.. wtf is happening ?
when i was on darkys 8.0 and 8.1 i had no problems, but when i upgraded to 9.0 the hell came loose :/ right now i am on the stock xwjs3 samsung firmware with no root or any other customizations.. everything is stock. what do you think is the problem? i had a thread started in a swedish android forum, and nobody could help me, so you guys are my last hope.. what the hell is wrong here ?
edit: i forgot telling that i can browse the web with my phone with no problems, but it doesnt show me any 3g/h/gprs icons when data active..
Try to go tommorow to your TELE2 provider store in Sweden, and ask for a new SIM card.
If that doesn't help, go back to darky's v8.0.
For example,
i'm also on TELE2 in Croatia, i have done the upgrade on darky's v9.0 no-wipe with lagfix turned on.
All of my APN settings stayed same, i can connect to the internet, really no issues.
Can u try the no-wipe version?
i have already aksed for a new sim card, but i dont think that would help.. because my sim card does work.. with every other phone i tryed, but not with my own
when i flashed darkys i did everything exactly like it said in description, 8.0 wipe > 8.1 nowipe > 9.0 nowipe
my apn settings are also left there in the settings, and when i check the info about the phone it says connected to sweden 3g (wich is tele2 3g in sweden) and it discovers pretty good signal, the problem is that i cant sms or call, or receive any of those either.. it says connected but not active.
Well it looks like, nothing is wrong with your SGS...in the hardware meaning.
Your 3G/H icons will only be displayed when you have internet traffic active.
And check your SMS settings and call barring options.
If that doesn't work, you can go back to v8.1
but the phone doesnt show the 3g/gprs/h icon even when i have data traffic active..
that is the only think working btw.. i can surf the web with my phone but it doesnt show the connection icons.. and the call barring options are all ok.
Well...you can always go back to v8.0
have tryed.. no luck
LOL...then put back in the stock firmware, then go to your providers store, and ask for new SGS
right now i am on stock firmware actually.. and if i cant find any other solution i will probably use the warranty..
good luck )

Nothing new you put on Darkys rom and its buggered up your phone join the big crowd .
Have you tried asking Darky .
Your only solution is a complete wipe of internal sd card system and data .
Install a stock Eclair and see if it works .
Otherwise darky bricks are priced at 150 dollars .

Ok i will try this, but why eclair? any reason for that ?
Thats what the phone was built with so less complications when something is wrong i find .Upgrade after if phone works OK or even take the chance to official upgrade via Kies Registry Patcher and save your official rom .

Galaxy i9000 (korean) IMEI & Base band lost!

I got korean Galaxy s ,i flash it ,now i cant get calls ,because no network, (IMEI and base band is missing ) Please help me to fix it !
Restore your EFS backup, you did back it up didn't you? Or try flashing back to stock. Plenty of threads and info on restoring IMEI.
i don't know how to do it.please help me to get back my IEMI and Baseband
There are a lot of threads out there, with the same problem. You should have do some reading before you flash anything!! Because the first thing you have to do, is make a backup of your efs folder!!

Imei / Baseband problem - Solution can be here!
I hade same problem. No baseband , no Imei.
I tried to flash all roms: 2.1 , 2.2, 2.3
Even Samsung service center tried. No way!
Solution:
I got all back when I flased to; DarkyRom black edition v 11 android 4.0.4 ICS:laugh:
For Korean Version, you should only Flash Korean ROM's found at PIT STOP link below, and to solve IMEI, baseband problems use M110S repair Kit, also same link below
I also would like to get an pm regarding restoring imei/baseband/efs. Mine is ok in stock but anything other I have to put it on charge to get baseband+imei+service but then I ll get random reboot and am back to square one.
I digged aroung my nv_data.bin in hex editor and found out my product code is Korean even though sticker under battery says it`s XEU. Does anyone know how much samsung charges to have it reflashed?

If your phone is Korean, it will have a TV and an Antenna on the right top corner, and in about Phone it will known as SHW M110S, If this is not present your unit is i9000 . All samsung phones are made in Korea and can be considered Korean But only the M110s and i9000B has a DMB TV + Radio , all others have Radio only.
So verify first your unit as M110S ROMS are NOT compatible with i9000
for IMEI problems, visit My Android Solutions, link below BUT IF your phone is M110S than visit PIT STOP, link below
Please guide me

No Way! unless something goes wrong in flashing process(which have very slim chances on that) your efs data safe... I think this guy got a STOLEN PHONE. Most of the thiefs do it because they dont want to get traced.. Its a scammy world. I seriously doubt that this guy is even from SRI LANKA

Is it possible? kies recognised update

Hi, all
I have read through and read again trying to find a way to get my tab recognised in kies after playing with ics and custom ROMs as such.
I am trying to restore it to what it was like when I bought it, it is a UK o2 model, and I had 2.3.3 on before.
AS I SAID ITS A UK O2 MODEL, so would like to flash it back to o2 uk, I know I can go to samfirmware.com and flash through Odin but the wifi drops for me after I have used this method, if I have a fault with my wifi IC I want to return to Samsung and get a replacement
Thanks for looking but its now done

[Q] NO GPS related to stock rom baseband? (philippines) need help!;)

Greeting XDA Devs!
Here's my situation. As you can see my GPS does not lock on my N7000 and could not even find a satellite. I've tried a lot of fixes from the play store including AGPS patches. even modified gps.conf from system/etc though i backed up the original one. unfortunately GPS wont lock. I've flashed Angry Vt1 with the OTA update before. but I thought restoring to an earlier and stock rom would help, I restored to IMM76D.DXLR5 build with N7000DXLR1 baseband flashed Philzdxlr safe kernel with my Note but still it doesnt lock only finds my location if i turn on the mobile data but whenever I use a Navigation app "waze" and Google Maps the location where I turn it on doesnt move while im driving.
I Live here in the Philippines i even tried changing the NTP server to ph.pool.ntp.org unfortunately no results. Tried rebooting like hell nothing helped. I found some Stock ICS roms from "dr.ketan" for my country though it has a carrier indicated in it.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
like this:
N7000DXLR5---4.0.4/12.07.30-N7000OLBLR2---Download--Philippines (Sun)
N7000DXLP9---4.0.3/12.05---N7000OLBLP6---Download--- Philippines (Sun)
N7000DXLR5---4.0.4/12.07.30-N7000OLBLR2---Download--Philippines (Smart)
N7000DXLP9---4.0.3/12.05---N7000OLBLP6---Download--- Philippines (Smart)
ive not tried it since im afraid its carrier is locked to the indicated one.does it?
I used to own another N7000 which ran CM10, PAJELLYBAM. but sold it since I have a new Note with ongoing warranty. which I had no problems with its GPS. unfortunately i cant recall what stock rom was in my new note for restocking purposes since i impulsively flashed Angry VT1. i experienced ANGRY VT1 and im never going back to Cyanogen.
So it ends with my basic question for my pursuit of the fix does reflashing other stock roms from other country will fix my gps? currently im downloading JZO54K.N7000XXLSC which was posted by chronosmachine http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1992573 i wanted XXLSC as stock since ill return back to ANGRYvt1 rom. Does anyone know whats the best stock rom there is? (what i mean best is the fewest issues that goes with the rom, so that maybe i could put an end to this gps dilemma)
Any ideas anyone?
Thank you and good day:good:
Today i tried another fix which is more about the innards of my note. Prying it open and slightly bending the gps antenna. Still nothing. Sigh. I found it in the at&t gnote thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1973727 i was convinced to do it because almost everyone who did it Worked. Im sending it to a service center later im afraid its hardware issue like the gps module.
Question if you have a device which is rooted with a voided warranty will the official samsung service center still repair your phone? Or do i still have to restock and unroot?(im sorry if i voided it myself i just like learning at whatever cost)

Gps will not be affected by flashing different rom, maybe radio will affect it but does sound like hardware problem. If you're sending it in, you'll need to flash stock gb rom via pc odin after erasing flash counter. Service won't honour warranty if it has raised flash counter and/or root.
You don't need to unroot, just flashing 3 part stock rom will remove root.

It's probably best to flash one with your csc that was on it originally. In theory you can flash any but to be safe as houses, best to stick with the original csc. If you don't know your original csc (I'm guessing phillipines doesn't have its own?) then any will do.
