I have an AT&T Galaxy Tab, flashed with the JMI euro firmware (thanks rotohammer!)
When I attach my keyboard dock, the keyboard acts as though it is a UK keyboard rather than a US keyboard (e.g. the "at" character and the quote character are reversed in location).
Is there anyway of forcing the keyboard to work as a US keyboard?
Thanks in advance for any help
At least you get to use it... I hear the Sprint/Verizon Tabs can't even use the dock..
Yes they can? Verizon sells the dock??? You can't use Sprint or VZW tabs with Bluetooth keyboards.

is there any keyboard dock with both horizontal&vertical standing?
I have the same problem, @ and " are reversed, there is a British Pound sign where the # should be, and a few other characters are not the way they are on the keyboard. I bought both the GT and the keyboard on my trip to Europe. Any ideas how to change the settings? Thanks

I mean, why everytime I connect my mouse or keyboard the Tab has to change my soft keyboard with the standard samsung one? There is any way to bypass it? Should I disinstall the default keyboard?

No one have an answer?!! (
Hi!
Can you explain what you are doing to try to get the input with your new bluetooth keyboard please?
if I want to type in Japanese, I have to press in the text box on the Galaxy screen, i.e. from email, or text messaging, and choose input method and then I can see
Samsung keypad
Simeji ( My Japanese input method )
Swype
I choose simeji and then I can type Japanese or English.
If you can give more information, maybe we can get this problem sorted.
Ofiaich
this issue I had too.
Just go back to where you find your keyboard and checkout that the samsung keyboard is running and the one which is active.
Also fill in the advanced settings.
All other keyboards remove or make them inactive.
Now reboot your SGT with the keyboard on and he will work.
Iff he switches over to email settings etc...then call for your screenkeyboard and click in e.g. Two words and then change to keyboard aand it will work.
Greetings

I have just recived my Rii mini bluetooth keyboard, its great on N64oid but i cant get it to set up on FPse?
I can map the hard key setting fine but it has no effect in game?
I had the same issue. When I disabled samsung keypad and swype as input settings however, it worked nicely. Try this and see if it works for you

Thanks dude, changed default input from samsung keyboard to hackers keyboard and now my mini rii keyboard is working with the letter keys in fpse. Thanks so much again FF7 here i come XD
Hi, I've a rii mini keyboard too and i don't know if I've an issue or not.
on the touchpad when i double tapp and go to the left or down bound, the mouse continue to move (like a laptop touchpad). But it doesn't work on the top and right bound.
Same on your rii mini ?
I've been using my Nexus 7 since launch week with an Apple UK wireless keyboard. Unfortunately, I have to use it with the US layout because there's no UK layout. I've checked all the international settings and they're set to be UK, but no layout showing in Settings.
It's not the end of the world, but annoying. Am I missing something silly, please?
I bought the hardware keyboard, and I actually really like it. The problem is, I need to use unsupported languages. English works fine, but there's no option for Japanese or Mongolian, both of which I use on a daily basis. (I have enabled both languages in the Samsung keyboard, but they just don't work with the hardware keyboard, for whatever reason.)
I'm wondering if anyone has found a way to allow it to switch to a non-Samsung keyboard when the keyboard is attached. Or any other ideas are appreciated.
Thanks.

Typing Japanese on a qwerty keyboard is actually very common. Even Samsung's Japanese IME has QWERTY input-type. You just type the English letter equivalent of the Japanese character.
Oddly, the hardware keyboard does work for Chinese and Korean with Samsung's software, just not Japanese.
Mongolian, yes, it could be said that you can't see what you're typing, but if you're used to a Mongolian keyboard, you will generally know where the letters are.
If I were to use a bluetooth or USB keyboard, I could input these languages, so I thought the same and bought the samsung keyboard.
Is it nice to type on and does it make it any easier to type? I'm waiting and hoping that I will be able to see this case someday in the Samsung experience section in best buy so I can see how it feels.
You're the first one here that I've seen mention actually having one in their possession!
