Haven't seen a thread about screen protectors lately. Currently I'm using the ZAGG invisishield but its starting to get scratched up so I'm looking for a new one.
I like the clarity and smoothness of the ZAGG. Some of the matte finish ones I've seen seem to distort the image on the screen somewhat. What I don't like so much is how easily the invisishield gets smeared and dirty.
Any recommendations on a protector I should try?

I used the mybatt they're cheap and really clear. I don't like the "drag" I get from the Invisible Shield. I get a two pack for 9 bucks and they seem to be lasting well. I get them at a local store here in Anne Arundell MD called Cyberion.

i use steinheil crystal clear. its really good and not as thick as ZAGG. so the screen is really responsive. I had ZAGG before and it just didnt work for me.
I use some cheap ($1 for 3, free shipping) ones from Amazon designed for the iPhony. It isn't very high quality but the screen feels better than before.
screen protectors
I shop the bay for all my screen protectors.... usually get them from 5 for $5 and down and the ones I bought for my ipt3g 32gig I am on my second one after a year and a half and first one for the intercept after 4 months.... price totally out weighs any problems and I have had none... I would never pay $20 for 1 zagg product
Steinheil "Crystal Clear"... nothing else comes close. Once you get rid of the Zagg and use something like the Stenheil, you'll wonder why anyone would ever use a dimpled, tacky Zagg.

Well I went with the Steinhall Crystal Clear and I have to say it is amazing. Smooth, not dimpled, fast, and I'm no longer so jealous when I look at my girls SLCD Incredible. It was quite a pain in the ass to get it on correctly though compared to the wet application ZAGG though. Glad I got a 2 pack

Can't find it via search on their site. But the pre-order/order page is up. Get um while they're hot!
This is by far the best screen protector you can use. Looks and feels just like the glass.

Have one on my galaxy nexus. Good Find. Gonna get one for my nexus 7 as well.
It looks nice but $22 for a screen protector stings a bit too much for my tastes.
Looks nice. May have to try it.

Steep price, sticking with the Body Guardz screen protector for the quality, slick for sliding finger around and warranty for replacements if needed.
Awesome! I have one on my Bionic and cannot recommend it enough. It's still in perfect condition after at least nine months of use... no peeling, no dimples, no scratches. I think I'm going to skip it on the N7 since it's not going to be subjected to the same level of abuse and because I'll eventually get a case, but if you're looking for one, this a good choice.
Don't worry about the price, unless you're on a shoestring budget. You'll never miss the extra $5 or $10 you dropped on this, because you'll never notice it's there. Can't say that about most of the cheaper ones I've tried.
I have one on my thunderbolt and it is almost a year old. Absolutely the best screen protector. They are really hard and clear.
Not going to use over on my N7 since I use a folio case, but if you are using an open face TPU style case, then this is the screen protector you want.

anyone know if they are going to make one for note 2
Have you tried contacting them? Usually they won't have one until it is released in the US.

They put protector tint on my ex galaxy s III back door. It was excellent job.
Is it worth using it instead of a case for body protection?

In the Galaxy Note 10.1 forums, many complain that the Zagg feels terrible with the rubbery S Pen tip. Drags a lot, they recommended those crystal clear ones like those from ClearPlex. I dont think they have one for the note II yet tho.

There are a number of them available from Amazon. The Galaxy Note Zagg/BodyGuardz had the same issue.

I hope best skins ever make one for note 2 I allways use them much better than zagg and cheaper.
If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the user manual recommend NOT using a screen protector? Something about it interfering with the S-Pen.
But yeah, I'd go with something other than the invisibleshield, as stated above it adds a lot of friction (in my experience) and you get a sort of orange-peel effect.
FYI looks like they ship 10/24-10/26 for those who were waiting

Ok, call me crazy, but I find myself wondering how much use I will get out of the pen. I am used to android and navigating with my fingers. As well my ipad too.
What about the zagg HD it feels just like glass compared to normal or anti-glare zagg I don't think it will feel too rubbery. I've had zagg since my hero days and I love them. I'm waiting for US release of GN2 and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get zagg HD for it as long as one comes out for it. I'll report back and let you guys know how it is.

In my experience the Xtremeguard quality was less than stellar. I've tried a few wet application urethane manufacturers and found the Xoskins were excellent with good customer support, but they are more expensive.

As an FYI, the skin protectors are good against scratches not drops. I know it's common sense but I had a perfectly self applied zagg shield on my Nexus One and it fell off my night stand and the screen broke. After that I went out and bought a Seidio Surface Case and haven't looked back.
They had a Zagg skin on the display model of the original note I tried out at Target and it really didn't work very well with the S-pen, as stated too much drag, felt awful. Something between that feel and the too slick feel of the naked screen would be perfect. I thought I had that right after applying the Spigen Ultra Crystal, it was just right initially but it became as slick as the glass after a little finger oil accumulated.
Keep away from this guys the zagg for note2 really not good i hv bought one from bestbuy before yesterday and i have regret to buy, toutching is not good, all not good at all, i just west 27 usd for nothing, ill go and buy sgp from amazon

Anyone have any good suggestions for a decent screen protector on the Nexus 7 in the UK?
I am currently using this
http://www.amazon.co.uk/VividShield...JG/ref=sr_1_15?ie=UTF8&qid=1351029987&sr=8-15
Bought it for 7pounds for packs of 3 few weeks ago, despite the price, the matte screen protector made my screen looked a bit grainy and I got 2 slight scratches out of nowhere although I am using a case.
Was wondering if anyone has any suggestion for a good one? I know SGP's are awesome but I don't think I can find them here and it's slightly out of my budget also.
I don't mind having clear SP's but I am skeptical about the cheap ones giving me rainbow reflections and fingerprints.
Hmm.. are there really that few Uk users here?

I'm waiting for Amzer's Shatterproof screen protector. Right now they're giving it away with a Nexus in a contest, but it's not up for sale yet.
well i have tried zagg invisibleshield and xoskins and not happy with either.. the zagg has a overly orange peel effect that i didnt like, the xo is better but they sent me 4 defective ones.. and i gave up and got a refund.. the current xo i have has micro lines all the way through it.. i like the application as you can get them nearly perfect if you are careful.. but im also looking for an alternative.. i wont take off the xo till i get one though.. no point in risking scratches
I'm using terrapin protectors. They're cheap and work fine.
I'm using cheap as chips matt ones off eBay, of course they make the screen a bit grainy but it's a good trade off for no fingerprints or glare.

Any rainbow effects? Also, is it fingerprint prone? I asked because the cheap eBay ones easily get smudges and the surface is too 'slippery'

I've noticed no rainbow colours or graininess at all. I've got the glossy versions, and they are quite reflective, but I don't find it a problem. They are very smooth like glass, and feel just like the actual screen surface. They are prone to grease and smear, but I don't find this excessive.
My one complaint about them is that they scratch easily, but I guess that is the point of them. I needed to change my first one after 2 months, but at the price, I don't think that is to bad. I've tried the wet application rubbery types and really hate the sticky feel and lack of clarity.

Sounds good enough for the price, might give this a go.. I have always liked matte because i hate the fingerprints.. But the matte on my nexus 7 seemed to have deteriorated the screen clarity especially when reading xda forums..

Thanks for your info. Its time to buy screen protector for mine
I had the Zagg HD on my phone for the last 4 days and at first I was quite happy with it. The fit was outstanding...it went right to the edge and had no peeling. The feel was slightly tacky, but it was clear and offered protection so I was happy. Over the last day or so I started noticing lines or imprints in the protector from the s pen. I'm highly impatient and I had the xtremeguard sitting on standby, so off with the zagg and on with the $3 xtremeguard.
I used the hot shower/spray bottle install method and the xtremeguard went on perfectly (as did the zagg)...no bubbles, no dust whatsoever. The fit is every bit as good as the Zagg...screen coverage could not be any better. The xtremeguard is smoother than the zagg, but still a little tacky. I expect that will get better over the next couple days as did the zagg. I have had the xtremeguard on the back if my phone for a week and tested the s pen on that to see if it left any marks like it did on the zagg, and it did not...that's why I went ahead and chose to put it on the screen too. It does not have a cutout for the sensors at the top of the phone, but it doesn't appear to effect anything, so that's better as far as I'm concerned. Screen clarity is every bit if not a little better with the xg over the zagg.
Overall, I would say if you are patient then save $23 and get the front AND back from xg for $3.99 including shipping instead of just front from zagg for $25 from best buy. Great product, great price! I just ordered another set for backup just in case.

The Zagg, both regular, and HD, both show where the S-Pen has been used. I would honestly rate it at Complete Garbage for use with the Note 2. Most, if not all, wet application screen protectors fit this description.
SGP Ultra Crystal = complete opposite.
My recommendation is always: a case (even the thin ones, especially if you're considering these skins, you aren't looking for drop protection) + a screen protector. Those cheap ones from eBay are VERY good! I get 6 of them for a dollar shipped, (maybe a little more?), and if they EVER get scratched I change it out for another, and if I install it incorrectly, toss it away and whip out a new one! They're uber smooth and cheap cheap cheap! I HATE wet installations on my phone. 700 dollar phone + water + soap? No thanks! Regardless of how much you use. I've used Zagg a million times way before when it was Invisible Shield and it was always the same problems:
peeling off after a few days on the sides (the part that I really needed protecting because that's the part that scrapes against my jeans coming in and going out), with the Note 1 I had it also and it almost broke the tip of my spen ... sucks.
I love cases, because I feel like I'm dressing up my phone. And I love the screen, give it some good protection with 99 cent 6 packs of screen protectors! No fuss. No issues. No reason not to use them .
Xtreme guard doesn't protect the chrome bit does it. Still good price though. Thanks, definitely give it a go.
Where did you find it from? Only see on eBay. Thanks!

I had xtremguard on my Ipad for over a year now, still looks good. That's why I decided to go with them again for my Note 2. I just installed it on my Note 2 today. Fitment looks good. I don't know about marks from the S pen. I bought them on Ebay for $4 then got another set during Cyber Monday for $2.
Damn! How hard are you guys pushing when you use the pen? I have had the HD screen protector on my phone for the past week, and have no lines whatsoever.

Xtremeguard is better quality than zagg hd. I got 2 screen protectors and full body protector from xtremeguard for $3.50. I would have paid $25+ for a zagg hd screen protector only. Not to mention that zagg products turn yellow after days of use. This happened and it was very noticeable on my white Galaxy S3.

I think it's important to have good customer services. A happy client is a revolver. Especially nowadays when you can buy the products from almost anywhere, offering something that differentiates your company from others is key to get revolvers. Amazon Spain is fantastic. I buy almost everything I can from them because they have excellent customer service and return policies. Not to mention it's sometimes cheaper than anywhere else online!

What are the best options for screen protectors right now? Has anyone tried the spigen ultra crystal for the g2, i have had good experiences with them in the past. I know that with my galaxy nexus the glass was curved so much that a normal screen protector couldn't fit across the entire screen and the wet apply screen protectors were a mess and looked horrible. Does the g2 have the same problem?
I was wondering the same thing. Anyone bought a screen protector they're happy with? Not a big fan of the wet application type
I used one of the wet application ones from Phantom Skinz (sp?) on my Nexus. It worked so well that I plan on ordering one for the G2.
I actually got the ones from T-Mobile and was quite surprised on how much I like them! They are a dry application, very easy to install, not sticky at all (feel very much like the natural surface before the screen protector), and what I like most...very, very clear and fingerprint and smudge resistant. The only downside is they are a little bit more than I usually spend on screen protectors, $17 for 2.

Wow that seems like a good sign, the best screen protector is one that you can't tell is on the phone. I'm curious, how much of the screen does it cover and do you have any pictures of it installed that you could share?
I got the only one that AT&T stocked. It's a glossy as opposed to an anti glare but the fit and finish is spot on and I can't even tell it's there. Very pleased.
/except for the glossy part
I picked up a few screen protectors from xtreemguard .com. pretty much the same thing as best skins ever. Used code fall80 for 80 percent off. Order was 3 bucks for shipping and two screen. Shipping was fast. Not amazing but definitely the best under $10.
I'm currently rocking the XOSkins wet application screen protector and like it so far.

I have the iloome flex tempered glass screen protector on order so I picked up the Supershieldz off ebay (6 for $5 shipped) as a hold over. They're dry application, fit well, and have decent clarity. Probably not terribly different from most plastic films, but man it hazes up from fingerprints like nothing else. I cleaned it off today with rubbing alcohol and it has already picked up some mild scratches. Guess you cant expect too much for less than a buck per screen protector.

I use the Spigen Ultra Crystal. My third phone whith them. Would not use any other. It actually seems just a tad small but I guess that leaves room for a case. It leaves about an 1/8 of an inch around the sides.
I use to pay the big money for ZAGG. When I bought my G2 (9/12) there wasn't anyone that had screen protectors, so I bought the 3 pack from VZW. I still have the first one on, and no issues. Paid like 10 bucks. It works fine for me.
