I am only looking for audio/text Skype for the gTablet. there have been a bunch of threads but no links and it is not in the marketplace. I install CM and TNT Lite 4.25. It is not in marketplace and the one in Appbrain would not load. Please help even if just sending me link in PM.

HMM I am on 5.1 vegan and I have done the market fix, Skype shows up in the market on both vegan and tnt. Try the market fix again, you should be good to go.
Yes. I was not able to get Market to show Skype until after the fix. Works great now!
so without doing the market fix I am sunk?
Is there a problem with you doing the market fix? It is not hard. You make it sound like you don't want to do the market fix. And to answer your question... you are sunk.

I loaded the app and works great from freewarelovers. Search for Skype on that site and you should be able to install using the apk.

I've performed the updates to my G Tablet as described in the superthread which are great! I've moved on to trying to install PnPlay but it's not available in what I can see in the Market. It looks like I could install it through AppBrain, but the AppBrain app is not available in what I can see in the market either. I can't find the .apk anywhere else.
Can someone please provide a suggestion for how I can install AppBrain?

Have you done the market fix? It will show up in the market after that. Search for titanium in the market. If you don't see that either you need to do the market fix to fill it up.

A couple points.
1. Doing the market fix will give you a lot of apps but, depending on your ROM, you may still be missing some apps.
2. AppBrain helps you search whats on the market. However, if you cannot see a program in the market AppBrain isn't going to be able to install it.

With AppBrain and Fast Web Installer enabled, I was able to download apps like VPlayer that didn't show up on my marketplace.

fast web refuses to install in tnt 2.2... worked in cm6b4 though. it insists that there's a device-specific compatibility error, which i've never seen before...
edit: refuses to *run* post install from the market is what i specifically mean.

I have a Viewsonic Gtablet with the with TNT Lite 2.2.0.
When I search Android Market, I can't seem to find Pandora, Sirius/XM, Live Hold'em, and Barcode Scanner. So I think my Market place app maybe messed up. How can I fix that? Can some help me?

I would use Titantium Backup, for the market fix. Works every time, for me. And I am redoing the Market fix very frequently, as you might imagine. I have several links to that Market fix - try the general FAQ, first.
I am trying to install it via the Market online and the G-tablet is not listed as being compatible with it.

I don't see the tablet edition available...All i get is the phone version in market...
I have searched google for an apk file and no one has one. The tablet version isnt in the android market even after being fixed and the online android market doesnt support vegan so i conclude we cant get it yet
I just grabbed it from the market, and it worked fine. I did get a message that it was for the galaxy tab.
I am running VEGAn 5.1.1.

I just found it in the market. I am using vegan-tab. In settings, applications...clear cache AND data for Market, then force stop. Then clear data and force stop Google Services Framework. Reboot, accept terms of services in market, and you should find it. I just did this and it worked. The key is to also clear Market data. Hope this helps!
I found it but it says my device is not compatible. I did however able if I want to download the phone version.
Does it display in landscape? Is it free or just one free issue?
It displays in portrait only, but I think the layout is great. The app is free but the subscription is not. I get the issues in the app for free because I have a print subscription, but I believe you can also pay for a digital only subscription (don't know how much that costs).
Same issues here - can't find it in the market and can't find an apk on the web. If anyone could post the apk it would be much appreciated. I have a print subscription that gets recycled every week - the landfills are crying!

+1 for not linking the apk. Last thing anyone needs (XDA included) is the ire of sports illustrated. If you take your time you can find it on teh intertubes.

-5 for Mantara for not nowing anyone can have the apk since you have to have a subscription to gain access to the content anyway!
Got the gtab, got tntlite cranking, did the market fix. Not as much stuff as my Droid x sees but.... Looking at appbrainit looks like I could find the app and install right from the page but... it wants me to install appbrain first! No link to file just a tantelizing barcode that my Droid can read but not my gtab grrrr! So close! How can I get the appbrain installation onto my gtab?

So three...count 'em three more market fixes followed by a disturbing period of no Internet connectivity and suddenly. ..it works! Nothing different, same pattern each time but then it works. App brain appears, apps I bought for my phone appear. I sure would like to understand the mechanics of why repetition worked. So take heart fellow travelers...wipe those caches one more time.

As of right now, I am having problems finding apps in the market. I did the full market fix, but is it necessary to perform the market fix more than once? I can't seem to find Facebook, Shopkick (not a big deal since Shopkick is in the Amazon App Store), or a few others in the market. Does anyone have a link to the apk file so I can side load them? If so, that would be amazing. Thanks in advance!
