Is anyone familiar with this program? For the devs here does it seem like a legit place to begin learning the wonderful world of Android programming?

Too many stock photos on the site (makes me question credibility) along with lots of guarantees and such, I wouldn't do it

Hello everyone
I have been an Android User for 1 year, I used to have a Samsung Vibrant, and always like to try new roms, fixes, tweaks.
But now I sold my lovely Vibrant, and bought a new Note (should be arriving next week).
Now I´m really interested in developing Roms and Apps for Note/Android.
Where should I start?
I need some guide in this...
SDK is where I start writing apps?
Im really interested guys, I just need some links, maybe books, maybe forums, tips?? to start
Thanks
You can start by going to the Android Dev site (SDK download, resources, guides and blog).
I'm not a dev, and i don't know which books you'll "need", but you can start by browsing Amazon
Thanks a lot
You could also check out xda university there is a whole site for just that and under android development. There is a lot of info out there just have to look

Hello people of xda-developers. I am looking for a job working with computers. Mainly hacking and programming like we do here for smartphones. I live in lakeville, MA and im turning 16 next month. Does anyone know any jobs i could do or any advice in helping me find a job? Thanks.
Edit: INTERNSHIP PERFERRED

With no experience, training, or a degree its probably not happening. Especially at 16. You have to be realistic about the kind of employment you're qualified for.
Oh. Sorry. Forgot to add internships. I have experience btw.

For android serious develop we need learning C language.
Which books, videos, tutos, or something else u use and recommend?
from my experience you should look for to thenewboston youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/thenewboston
or go to your nearest book store and look for the 24 hours learning book series, they are really helped me out:
http://www.amazon.com/Sams-Teach-Yourself-Hours-2nd/dp/067231861X
hope it helped=)
Unless you want to learn C++, then consider learning C elsewhere, not from cprogramming.com. The site is biased towards C++.
In which sector do C programming needed in Android Development?

U need to learn C/C++ if you're messing with the kernel.
U need to learn Java if you're creating apps..blah..blah...anything that is android except the kernel.
Also, you might want to consider other languages, for writing scripts, and programs, that could fully or partially automate exploits on Android or something like that.

I always like the site Tutorialized.com & good-tutorials.com They have content on multiple different languages.
Since we are sharing links here, I will share what I have found to be helpful
cpprogramming.com
howstuffworks.com

XDA Has always been a fantastic community for developers, and non developers alike. Recently, as many of you may have noticed, the gap between our esteemed developers, and our massive user base has been widening. XDA-University helps immensely to bridge that gap by allowing our users to start on the path to being developers themselves. Many of our tutorials focus on the basic aspects of theming and modifying the software on our devices. It seems, however, that there are not so many tutorials on the actual basics of programming. Why don't I just send you all to MIT to learn... For Free.
MIT has opened up the content of their courses for free on the web. Check it out here: CLICK ME!
When I look for something related to programming I often bump on MIT videos.
The last one was on skip lists
This is awesome! I've never heard of this!
I agree with you xda is the one of the best forum for the windows and android phone user.

That said, only ones get the market is the king. I think HTC made some buzz with the release of One series, but failed to catch enough volume in the end. The game looks to me like, all the major Android makers are losing ground while some new comers with cheaper phones gained. People understand that, no matter who makes it, they all run Android, not a big difference. Only google is happy.
Let the hype begin
There's a thread for the update talk. Lets keep it in there please
