I have my nook color running on nookie froyo 0.6.8, but the market won't show me all apps like skyfire or android facebook. Does anyone know how to make them appear??
The second question is how do i get flash videos to work, i already downloaded the flash app but flash videos on browser wont play. For example youtube videos from browser. I can see the videos from the youtube app fine but not from browser.
Thanx in advance.

You have to setup adb on your computer and 'push' google apps onto your nook, nookdevs.com has a detailed howto.. and the only way i have gotten flash to work is to download adobe flash from market THEN dolphin hd browser... you might also get the google apps aka gapps to install by flashing them with cwr, but im not 100% on that. Hope this helps.. its how i got those things to work on my nookie froyo 0.6.8
Nookie Froyo 0.6.8 (zoom2)/Tapatalk Pro
Thanx. I was afraid i would have to use that method. Will give it a try when i get time.

Thanks for your answer. Can you please tell me the following:
1- The link to download Flash 10.1
2- How to install it in my phone?
Thanks again
Got this from the DEV's of the game:
The game will not run properly, if you check in the game text
description, this is because B&N does not want the nook to run android
market application therefore theNook will generate a new IMEI everytime
you will run the game which will lead to a false detection and multiple
reinstall or crash.
Actually i have it running,
I used market enabled to purchase it,
It was hell installing it though 9 for the download
Im using stock 1.1 with 1100 overclock.
It runs reallllly smoothly.
Any way i can help you guys?
Like log file or something, cause i don't know what i did to make it work,
It was intuitive

If you're using Nookie, you're not using the B&N ROM, so that'd account for the difference.
Probably misunderstanding by me,
I use autonooter 0.2 dose it make the rom diffrent?

No, it doesn't. When you said "Nookie" I assumed the "Nookie Froyo", my mistake.
I have this game running on my device without any problems. I am running the stock Eclair (Android 2.1) with B&N 1.1.0 firmware (rooted, of course), with 1.1ghz overclock kernel. No problems downloading and installing. The game downloaded its 1gb data when I first tried to run the game, then worked just fine. It did download its 1gb data chunk again after I rebooted my Nook (for other reasons...unrelated to this game), but my saved game was still there and loaded just fine. I have since rebooted the device again, and this time the game ran fine and did not download the data again.
Awesome game...reminds me of Final Fantasy Tactics on PS1...one of my favorite games...

Mmmm so what did you use to root then ? You started with stock 1.0 then let B&N do their OTA update to 1.1 right ? Then you rooted via which method ? and then you downloaded the game ? in that order ?
Thanks for any insight. I really love this game on my PSP, but want it on my Nook.
Started with B&N firmware 1.0.0. Did official upgrade to firmware 1.0.1, then auto-nooter to root for that firmware version:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=872490&highlight=autonooter
When firmware 1.1.0 was released, used the following to get to rooted 1.1.0:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932145
Once I was at 1.1.0, upgraded my kernel for 1.1ghz overclock:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=925451
I have been running with this setup now for a couple of weeks without any issues. I just bought and installed Spectral Souls last night, and have been playing the crap out of it since. Don't know if any of this really matters, but at least this game seems to like my setup. Runs very smooth, no problems so far.
Did something similar but i started with 1.0.0 and gone to 1.1.0
And overclocked to 1.1 kernel

i re-downloaded couple of times before it finished installed.
I'm having issues getting it to run without redownloading as well. I'm going to let it do so a couple more times...but so far it's not running twice without downloading again. Auto nooted 1.0.1
This force closes after the opening movie (which plays lovely) or when you touch the screen to skip the movie on Nookie Froyo 0.68.
Does anybody have it running on nookie froyo?
I have the same question does anyone have this running on Froyo on the nook? Or heck Honey comb I'll switch over to that if it will run this program...
haven't got it to work on froyo at all but I am going to try CM7 then honeycomb to see if any of them work.
Update: It is running on CM7 nightly 7. It is very playable.
I've played this game on phiremod(5.1) with no issues. Didn't have to do anything fancy, just downloaded it and started playing.
Now if only phiremod would restart without getting stuck at the boot screen
Anyone have the latest Flash releasing today?
Other than the old leak, i still haven't seen it anywhere offically....
It's in the market. I dont know how much of a difference it makes since I didn't test it much.
Videos are def more stable now , when there in full screen there even better
what roms/versions are able to get flash from the market?
I'm able to get it from the Market on Nookie Froyo. The prior Market version did not work and I had to revert to the downloaded Flash101.apk. Thankfully 10.2 does work perfectly well so far =) I can't see any obvious improvements though.
doesnt work wid hc v4 2nd edition
On CM7, not only was it the featured app in the Market advertising space, it was also waiting to be installed as an update to 10.1
Cm7 flash 10.2 =
Spoke too soon. For some reason Flash 10.2 stopped working on my Nookie Froyo, but rolling back to the Flash101.apk worked.
Had Flash 10.2 working on Phiremod 5 (CM7). Worked fine for both flash video (given video slowness) and for flash games. Upgraded to day to Phiremod 5.1 and now can't get either Flash 10.1 or 10.2 to work in Browser. YouTube app working very well, tho.
Installed flash 10.2 last night on my froyo 0.68 emmc install from market (it wouldnt do thst for me last week). My stock browser and dolphin browser now successfully play flash and embedded movies.
I am most pleased.

Remember that the only stable installation of NC is the rooted stock B&N which is 2.1 and thereby does not support Flash at all.
SO, only unstable beta builds that change daily, support Flash.
The fact that some of the posters have it working is actually looking good to me.
Nookie Froyo is pretty stable already. The base build is not being tweaked much anymore. It's Gingerbread and Honeycomb that are still a big work in progress.

I can't even see Flash 10.2 in the Marketplace and I'm running Nookie Froyo. It's interesting to see that some are able to make it work.
EDIT: After reading through other posts, I decided to access the Marketplace through Dolphin. I can see it--but when I try to download it, I get the error message
"There are no Android phones associated with this account. Please sign in with a different account."
I don't have an Android phone. Any thoughts.
Hi,
I was going to follow up a post in the Manualnooter thread but I can't post there.
So I cannot install Dolphin Browser HD to save my life. In the playstore on the nook, it's not visible. In playstore on my pc, it says it's not compatible. I tried sideloading it, going into root explorer but i get "problem parsing". Does anyone have any ideas what else I can do?
Also, I hate mobile/mini versions of browsers. Are there any alternatives for full browsers?
Thanks in advance.

Opera Browser is my preferred browser. I can share my settings with those at home and work on my pc's and laptops... though there are other features of Opera that surpass those in Dolphin and Firefox.
As to Dolphin, it should work on Manualnooter. On mine, I purchased the B&N Dolphin app. Works well though I rarely use it.
As for PlayStore view, you are correct, I don't see Dolphin HD but I do see Dolphin Browser Mini and other Dolphin addons and themes for HD. Interesting.
Try Opera Mobile or get HD thru the B&N app. Either way, they turn your NC into a great tablet.

Yes there is, just DL from websites offering APK Downloads. Once DL'd, put into uSD, open it from there and Viola, you're using Dolphin Browser HD.
Note:
Dolphin Browsrer HD works on CM 7.2 for Nook Color, so it should work nonetheless for Rooted Stock Nook.

This is directly from B&N 1.4.2 build.prop:
ro.build.version.release=2.2.1
2.2.1 is Froyo
2.3.x is Gingerbread
Additionally.... B&N stock 1.4.3 is also 2.2.1
This is why users must use Dalagrin's froyo kernels if they want over-clocking...
WARNING CM7 (Gingerbread) and CM9 (Icecream Sandwich) kernels WILL NOT work with any B&N stock AOSP at this time.

Ok. I guess just because version number is the same as nook tablet, they are not the same version of android. It has been a very long time since I had stock on my color. Thanks for clearing that up.
