[REVIEW] Galaxy Tab Case from Cyber Acoustics - Galaxy Tab Accessories

For the past two days, I have had the pleasure of using a Galaxy Tab case from Cyber Acoustics (cyberacoustics.com). If you're thinking about a case for your Galaxy Tab, I can highly recommend this one.
It is a nice black, book styled leather-bound case, with suede interior. There is a lot of detail work, with very sturdy stitching all around. It has a nice padded feel to the outside, an opening in the back for the camera, and easy accessibility to the Tab's power, volume, SIM and SD Card slots, headphone and charger openings.
The inside of the case has a unique holder for the Tab, that grabs the Tab securely at all four corners with a well-fitting silicone holder that will not scratch the nice surface of the Tab. These corners are shaped perfectly to fit the Tab and and seem to add an extra layer of protection. It is so easy to place or remove the Tab, yet it holds the Tab solidly in place.
When using the Tab, the cover folds back, completely out of the way. There is a nice elastic band built into the inside cover that makes it convenient to slide your hand under for extra comfort and security when holding the Tab while typing. It would have been nice if that band had been centered more to make it easier to use with either hand, but being that I'm left-handed, that is probably more of a personal annoyance.
For times when you want to have more of an angle when viewing the Tab's screen, instead of folding the cover back flat, there is a nice flap in the back of the case that the front cover fits into which gives the Tab about a 2" lift at the top when viewed in landscape. It's also possible to turn the Tab around and place that 2" wedge at the bottom, which places the Tab pretty much upright. Very nice feature.
When the cover is closed, there are two small elastic bands on the inner top and bottom corners that can be stretched out to keep the case securely closed when the Tab is being carried or placed in a bag.
This is a very nice case that not only protects the Tab completely, but adds to the pleasure of using the Tab by cleverly folding in different ways to meet the user's needs.

Seidio ACTIVE Case Review

I was given the opportunity to review the ACTIVE Case for the Samsung Galaxy Tab by Seidio. I’ve purchased other cases before but they did not fully have what I wanted in a case. Seidio asked if i wanted to review a case for them and I happy to do so. Once the case came in, I was in love. It has everything I wanted in a case and more!
Interior Casing
The first part of the ACTIVE Case is the Interior Casing. It’s a rubber sleeve that absorbs shock if you drop your tab. This sleeve slips onto your tab very easily and , in my opinion, is a must-have for any case and tab owner. A tab can be heavily damaged if dropped and this casing prevents that from happening. The Interior Casing also has holes for all ports and camera so there’s no need to remove it when connecting a charger or earphones. Also, there are power and volume buttons etched into the casing to make them easy to locate when your tab is in the casing. Lastly, the Interior Casing fits right around the edges of the tab so it doesn’t block the capacitive buttons. People like myself that have had a case that makes it difficult to press the capacitive buttons will be happy to see how much space the casing doesn’t take up.
Hard Exterior Skeleton
The second part to the ACTIVE Case is the Hard Exterior Skeleton. This part snaps on top of the Interior Casing for added protection. This makes it so that if you were to drop your tab, the back and corners would be even more protected from impact. To me, this is a necessity while traveling because you never know when you’ll drop your tab. I like how there’s a hole for the camera lens in this as well so you don’t have to remove the exterior skeleton to take pictures. Seidio definitely had the picture/video junkies in mind when they thought of this.
Convertible Mounting Cover
The third and final part of the ACTIVE Case is the Convertible Mounting Cover and this part is my favorite! This cover is the icing on the cake. The most obvious function of the Convertible Mounting Cover is that it protects the screen once snapped on to the front of your tab. It is very durable and and rugged. The second function of the Convertible Mounting Cover is it acts as a stand. One thing I look for in a case is if it doubles as a stand. Inside the cover there’s an adjustable support tab so you can angle your tablet to your desired height. This is perfect if you use your tab at your desk like me.
Final Thoughts
Out of the cases that I’ve owned before, the ACTIVE Case is by far the best case! Although it has different layers to it, they all snap together to keep things neat and clean. I’ve been looking for a case that not only protects my tab, but that is also very versatile. The only downside I can see with this case is the fact that it’s a little heavy compared to other cases. That’s a small price to pay when you have a case that does and has everything. I’m glad Seidio presented me with the opportunity to review this case for them.
Nice review. You forgot the picture of the tab inside the case without being turned into a stand. You didnt forget, i just would like to see it :0)

i-BLASON Landscape/Portrait Case

I've had this case for about a week:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008GFVF3M/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00
I'd post photos, but the pictures at Amazon pretty much show you everything that there is to see about the case. Now here's my take on it.
First of all, it's not a thin case. Not even close. When it's closed, it's just under an inch thick. Which is fine for me because that's not what I was after. The Nexus 7 slides into a full leather inner case. The back of that case is covered with Velcro "loops", the soft part of the Velcro. That attaches to a large strip of "hook" Velcro that is sewn into a book-style outer case. As you can see from the Amazon pictures, depending upon the orientation of the inner case, you can place the tablet at one of three angles for viewing.
When I first used the case, the hinge on the left side was stiff - really, really stiff. In fact, sometimes it would pop open and turn the Nexus 7 on. But after a week of use, the hinge has softened, just as I'd hoped, and the cover stays closed, held that way by two magnets. The magnets also turn the tablet on and off. Folded all the way back, the magnets don't affect the tablet at all, probably because of all those layers of leather and cloth sandwiched between the magnets and the tablet.
The quality of materials seems to be good. There weren't any loose stitches. I ordered the black case with a tan interior. Every surface is a two-layer, sewn together construction of an outer leather material against an inner, soft cloth, with the outer cover having some sort of board, like the covers of a book, for extra stiffness (as does the back of the inner cover). The white stitching is a more apparent in real life than in the pictures, which some my find a bit jarring. As far as styling goes, well, it's pretty conservative. It hasn't turned any heads near me, so if that's your thing, you might want to look elsewhere (or perhaps consider one in an exciting color other than black or white).
The three long slots that serve as stops to prop the tablet up also work quite nicely to give your fingers a little grip if you're holding the tablet like a book.
I primarily use my tablet for two things: listening to music at work and reading books at home, so this cover works very nicely for those situations. At work, the Nexus 7 sits, propped at an angle, on my desk and at home, I flip the cover all the way open and it gives me a good grip for reading. Obviously, though, the one thing that it does is obscure the sleek lines of the tablet, so if that's something that you want to show off, this isn't the cover for you. Also, it strikes me that it's not exactly a champ at heat dissipation, but that has not been a problem for me yet.
The price has gone up since I ordered mine, but now it's covered by Amazon Prime, so that may be a break for some of you. I'm quite pleased with it.
By the way, I installed the Nova Launcher, which supports home screen landscape mode. It goes well with this sort of case. OK, here's a picture.
Thanks for the review. I decided to hold off for a little after the n7 was released to see what kind of cases would come out. Thanks to your review and a lot of looking around on Amazon this is the case I'm going to go with.

Review - BENTOBEN Shock Absorbing Dual Layer Hybrid TPU Slim Fit Hard Case - Black

Note: I received a discount on this case in return for reviewing it.
This case is better than others which claim to offer a huge amount of protection because it is not as bulky as most of the others. One reason could be also because it does not in fact include a cover with a built-in screen protector for the front, although there are lips which do stick up around the front to protect it when the phone is placed face down on a table.
Wireless charging works well with this case as well which can be an issue with other protective cases.
The back of the phone is a shiny plastic material which can be a fingerprint magnet to a very small extent, but that is not nearly as noticeable as an issue as the phone has on the back when it has no cover. The back is also curved on the sides like the bare phone itself, so it is very comfortable to hold.
In order to make up for some possible slipperiness on the very back, you can see by the photos included that that is more than made up for by the rubber "grippy" sides. I would have preferred the side on the phone with the volume buttons to have the same rubber material all the way up the side as the side of the phone with the power button, but that is just my preference with which everyone may not agree.
On the front, the top lip and the bottom lip around the screen are hard rubber, while the sides edges are in fact the same plastic as the center of the back of the phone. They do not fit right up to the edge of the glass the same way - so on the front you can see a little of the metal edge on the top and bottom front edges of the phone with this case. However, it is just this one 'slight flaw' that makes the next paragraph possible:
It may sound counterintuitive, but what I like most about this case is that is not only a very protective case for the phone, but it is also very easy to slip on and off the phone at the same time - the rubber and plastic pieces do not have to be pulled apart from each other to put the phone in or to take it out. Just grap a couple corners and with a little effort it will pop off - not so easy that it would ever slip off on it's own - it is very snug. It may seem like a silly thing, but I have a custom proclip holder in the car (for the bare phone) - and I like to slip my phone into that when I get into the car. As that requires removing the case and slipping it back on, when I am using the other protective cases for my phone I am forced to just not use the proclip holder those times when I am driving - except not with this case!
All in all I really like this case and I'll be using it a lot!

iPulse Genuine Full Grain Leather Case Review

iPulse Journal Series Leather Wallet Case for the Galaxy Note 8
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074Z5TMY9
This is the first wallet-type case I've used with the Note 8 and it seems have everything I would want in a leather wallet case. It's smooth good quality leather, no jagged edges, multiple inner pockets, and straight matching black stitches.
Most importantly, it has a strong magnetic clasp, which is one issue I have with the wallet cases Samsung usually offers. While leather wallet cases aren't designed for maximum drop protection, having a strong magnetic clasp will prevent the phone itself from hitting the pavement. There's a gratifying snap when you close the cover and the flap won't separate unless you pull it with force.
A plus in my book is that the phone is kept in place with a soft TPU case attached to the leather. Some manufacturers like Samsung choose to use a polycarbonate case-like portion to hold the phone in place but the bottom and top of the phone is usually exposed to the elements. I had no issues inserting and removing the Note 8 from the TPU portion and it holds the phone securely. Phone port cutouts are where they are supposed to be, but be advised that the TPU does not cover the power, Bixbie, or volume rocker, which means the already shallow buttons are more difficult to press.
The brand logo is out of the way and is on the bottom left of the backside. It has a clean design on the front with no lettering. One thing I would have liked to see is an earpiece opening on the front of the leather cover so I could talk on the phone with the cover closed, but flipping the cover behind the phone is not too much of a burden. This choice also gives the front cover a cleaner look, like a leather journal would have.
I would recommend this case if you're looking for a simple and clean-looking genuine leather wallet case for your Note 8.
Mine need to push the magnetic piece where it connected to your phone away from the phone, so it wont affect S-PEN
how about yours

Is the magnetism strong enough to keep the case closed?

Question Case for Tab S8+ that allows low angle like Tab S6 book cover

I went from a Tab S6 to a Tab S8-plus to get the larger size. I really like the Samsung Book Cover on the S6, but the book cover on the S8+ is not the same. I want a case that lets me display the tablet in two positions. The usual landscape stand-up position is good for watching videos or just sitting at a desk. Also, I like to be able to lay the tablet on my desk and write on it, but laying it flat like a piece of paper often creates a glare.
If you tilt it up at about a 20-30 degree angle, you can write comfortably and see it more clearly. The S6 book cover let you do that by folding the front cover back into a triangle shape. All the cases I am finding only allow you to stand the tablet up, not lay it at a low angle. Even Samsung's own book cover has a solid front flap that will not bend into the same triangle shape as the S6 cover.
The other thing I like about the S6 cover is that it gives you a bit more to hold onto when you just sit with the tablet in your lap. If you fold over the cover into that triangle as if you were were going to lay it on a desk, you can grip that in one hand. When the front case just folds all the way around flat, like an old spiral notebook folded around on itself, then you have very little to hold onto. The extra weight of the larger tablet makes it more cumbersome.
Anyhow - any suggestions for a case that will do a low-angle tilt on a desk?
Something like this?
