Not sure if there is an answer for this yet until the HC AOSP comes out, but is there any way to get tablet-centric apps like USA Today/CNN/Weatherbug (tablet version) to show up in the market?

Hi, im not sure if there is any way to run aosp apps on our galaxy. Im looking for Calendar, phone, contacts and calculator. Thanks in advance.
Edit: think posted in wrong area, sorry. But any apps out there?

I suspect this thread will be moved, but I can offer some advice.
I mined out the AOSP apps from this Vibrant AOSPish JK2 v1.1 ROM:

I farted around with a few of them, but in the end just kept the Calendar, and Car Home. Contacts didn't seem to work (had a blue screen and just behaved oddly), Calculator didn't offer much. I prefer the AOSP Music app, but the MusicMod app from the Market is an improved version.
When I get a chance I would like to fiddle with getting the live wallpapers installed as well. Then I will proceed to never use them and eventually uninstall...
I know many have been eagerly awaiting the 10.2 flash release. when i searched market on my gtab i could not find it today like i could on my captivate which conviently updated to 2.2 today (joy!!). Long over due ATT...
anyways since the stars lined up just right i thought i would leave the .apk up here for all. i have run this and it is flawless on cnn....no more hiccups or freezing like previous versions!
Thank you so much for this. I couldn't find it either running calkulins rom
try going to market.android.com. I found it there and tagged for download to my "G" ( running Vegan 5.1 ) loaded and runs fine.
Thanks for the apk. I used to be able to see flash in the market, in fact that is where I installed 10.1 from. I'm on the new vegan and I could see the xoom games as well but I couldn't see some other stuff I wanted like evernote and dolphin. Online market just blocks me with compatibility errors. After doing some messing I got it so I can see those things but no longer can I see flash or the xoom/tiaga games. I can't even upgrade flash through market even though I installed it from there. Google's dictatorship over the market is in its own way is as messed up as Apple's market censorship and it is downright frustrating and disappointing. So again, thanks. I've tried to get my market back to displaying what it originally displayed but not luck. Either way I'm still only able to enjoy half the android experience.

Thanks OP.
Yes, I agree with you. Market originally let me dl Cordy, but now since it has been updated for more gameplay its not in native market, and its not compatable with online market.
So, exactly what I said in the subject... I purchased it for my Droid X, and want to get it for my GTab also (I hate the included power widget with a passion, sorry...). So, I go into the android market, search for it, no results. I think to myself that maybe it's been taken down for some reason, but I search for it on my DX and it comes right up.
Any ideas? I've already purchased the app, so it wouldn't be stealing, but is there any way to copy it (so to speak) from my DX to my GTab? I tried to get it from AppBrain also, but since it's basically just a window into the Android market, obviously that didn't work any better. Alternatively there are stand-alone, individual widgets I can grab for free from the market (at least, I think I can get to them...), but since I've already paid for this app I wouldn't mind using it again.
Edit: If it makes a difference, I'm using I believe the latest VEGan ROM (without the latest supplemental update, I haven't gotten around to that yet).
Bump? I just flashed a different ROM (TNT Lite this time), and the same thing, Power Control Plus doesn't show in the market. I already did the market fix, so it should be 100%...
I've been noticing that I am unable to download/install apps from the Android Market Place that have anything to do with using a camera. I saw today that there is now a full Google Docs app, but the Market Place will not allow me to download and install it. I confirmed this by going to the Market Place's website and it said that it wasn't compatible with my device. I am currently running CM7 Stable so the only thing I can see that would be a problem is the lack of a camera on the nook.
Is there anyway around this outside of waiting for someone to create a .apk package for it?

Works great. Wish the market would get a clue
Apparently there will be a camera spoof in an upcoming CM7 nightly for this reason.
How's it going this weekend XDA?
I popped the AT&T 2.3.3 Rom and it is working really nicely. I am a minimalist by nature and I feel the stock ROMs stripped of bloatware are the simplest and sweetest when you balance function and aesthetics.
However, after a few weeks on this ROM, I am noticing some issues where Froyo and Gingerbread overlap. I know that many Froyo apps are not designed for, or in some cases, updated to support Gingerbread. However, these apps seem to run fine on my Gingerbread setup after I restored them from my TiBu backup. However, when I search for the app in Marketplace, they do not show up.
The root of the issue is that I have a Blueant T1 Bluetooth headset that is supposed to be able to auto update it's firmware through the Android app. When the headset is connected, the app indicates that the firmware can be updated and it should do so automatically. However, when you cliock on the link to update, it says that the app doesn't exist in the marketplace, presumably the problem is that my device does not officially support Gingerbread and the conflict might thereby wipe the app from the Marketplace. I can see that the app is there in the Marketplace when I am not logged in via my phone(ie on the pc), but if I try to download it it disappears.
I have also noticed this with other apps, ie Google Body. It apparently needs Gingerbread to function, but 'My device is not supported'.
Any thoughts? Is it that my phone is sending it's model and make which is not compatible, or that the discrepancy between what I should have on the phone vs what I do have doesn't jive with the Marketplace?
Am I facing a build.prop tweak or is there another way to work around this? Any and all input will be useful.
Thanks!
