Hi all, I wonder if there is any way to add languages to the galaxy s menu. I would like to have the phone in Japanese, I saw docomo's friends galaxy s And obviously is all in Japanese. I want to put all in japanese but I'm happy with 2.2.1 darky's rom.
It is possible to do sonething?
If not I still continue writing with simeiji.
Thanks!

Hi guys!
I think it's about time to give some gingerbread to my galaxy s.
I'm having this doubt about which way to go. Official firmware or Cyanogenmod.
What do you recommend? What are the pros and cons of which one of them by your experience.
One 100% required feature for me is voodoo sound, but i guess i can have it both ways.
Thank you for your help!

Why not taking a look at the features list first:
http://www.cyanogenmod.com/about
If you think you really really need that stuff then maybe you want that ROM. The tethering and openvpn stuff sounds nice but I like my stock GB for now.

Thanks for your reply.
It's not a question features, it's a question of user experience.
For example, one thing that annoys me in the official gingerbread is the alarm clock bug, as it happens that I rely on it every single morning to get to work on time

Why don't you just install ICS?
Sent from my GT-I9000 using xda premium
Because:
-Bat drain
-lags much more than GB at this time
-Some apps wont work, but are necessary (ex: clock)
-some fc's sometimes
and so on...

lol i had this feature when i had Darkys Rom on my phone,
i have to agree with noobwork94 on the ICS as mosts of the issues are fixed
But many of the users (me too), only flash this rom, when these bugs are "killed".
Or we have to wait for CM9 and hope, that they will add it.

one cosmic ICS 4.0.3 RC1 is good...
it is good for daily use...
only wifi theatre is not working...
as it is pure android, there is no file browser installed.
camera has very less options..
but, it is ok..

No it's not OK.
Camera Video Recording is jerk! it's like 2MP cameras.
very bad quality.
Exactly! Ics is buggy, so stop spamming with these "omg install ics its better lolololo" posts because we won't install it.

Hi!i would also like the taste of ice cream on my phone and allready thought about flashing ICS! But i also want a full feature phone, and dont wanna set it up twice a week! Ithink that the DEVS did some great work in such a short time, but there are also a few features that i would miss compared the GB. One feature are the toogles in the notifucation bar, i really dont want to stay without them! (And as far as i know, widgetsoid does not work under ICS)
So maybe a dev could make this nice animation available for all the Gingerbread users out there! If not, we'll have to wait for a great stable CM9!
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERY ONE!

I have a very big problem, namely:Install roms have a lot, a lot, a lot, a lot of all theoretically have a European language pack but there was no Slovak language in which I really care about. Can somebody help me with information on what language one does not find a ROM?
Thank you kindly and best regards,Peter,

Hi, Ive just brought myself a 'Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini' i upgrade from a S1!!! Along time coming but i didn't want a bigger phone.
Anyway what the hell is up with the keyboard!!! I don't use the qwerty keyboard i use the standard 3x4 keyboard with predictive text on.
1, i cant add words???
2, the 0 key doesn't turn the predictive text on and off anymore???
3, im pressing WXYZ now and its writing a load of crap??? (we will work with you when you were working with you) surly it should just write loads of w, x, y or z???
I just want my old standard keyboard back not this new crap fancy one!!! Any advise would be great on trying to get it back or even adding it to a rom or something???
Cheers, James

Google Play has plenty of alternative keyboards to download.
I use Thumb Keypad: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beansoft.keyboardplus&hl=en
Currently has 50% off.
Brilliant, use it on both phone and tablet.
Your keyboard configuration must be messed up big time.
Try to reset it

Hi I have the SM-N9208 duos Taiwan since I'm not using chinese keyboard would it be possible to change the keyboard to be something like SM-N920i version without rooting?
Currently I can change the language to English but still the keyboard layout is not as user friendly as the other international model.
Or would it be possible to change to Malaysia SM-N9208 keyboard?

Hey mate, tried clicking on your link but it only takes me to the Amazon page for Samsung. Can you please link to the normal Samsung Keyboard?
Thanks so much.
Normal English Samsung keyboard for Taiwan set the keyboard layout for symbol, punctuation, etc are different compared to the normal international set since it was designed for Chinese charcter input.
So I'm looking into replacing it with the normal international version.

I see. I got n9208 malaysia. but we got both the pinyin and normal samsung keyboard.
Would u mind share how the Malaysian set keyboard look like, especially the punctuation. Thanks
