Hi everybody.
Today I found this news. It has LG Revolution system files. Also those guys found there Netflix.apk. I tried on my Nexus One with ROM CM7 Nigthly 18. It's installed and even accept my login and password. After that I could see my Queue, but if I tried to load any movie it always doesn't show anything and sometime shows error message.
"Sorry we could not reach the Netflix service. Please try again later. If the problems persists please visit netflix.com. (1005)"
I know that according to the news my hardware should support DRM libraries and Nexus hardware doesn't support it.
So my question below. Is it possible to made something that this apk start works and shows movies.

Original of the article on androidcentral. I couldn't insert link here, but article has been published today.
i like where this is going...
I'm trying this.
Some people are thinking that Netflix hasn't flipped the switch to get this running until the device which supports it is released.

Same thing on my wife's Optimus S. I didn't have high expectations going in...however, it does allow me to see my Queue, and add movies to it... which is awesome. Can't wait for the day I can watch movies on an Android Tablet will be great for travel!

Install the Netflix app from the marketplace if you have a n1. It works like a charm!

There's the twitter where it was posted.
You have to doanload 181mb of extra data after downloading the apk. When downloading I have an issue as it says the game is not available for our device. But when you get to the link on your WAP browser You will see where it says your device click on that & change it to Samsung Epic 4G & it will let you download it. Without the workaround it will not let you download.
Thanks for the notification. Hopefully Gameloft has some other good Android games for free then too.
I can't get it to work, it still identifies my phone as sch-i500 and says it's not available for my device. When you talked about choosing the device, did you mean the thing where it asks you for your phone model and number?

If you go to the link he provided on your phone it will give you an error since you have the SCH-I500. On that screen though you can choose "phone model" or something like that. It will then let you choose the manufacturer and then the model. Choose the Epic 4G like he mentioned and it should work. Hope this helps
Hmm, I did.not get the option to choose my phone, but I ended up using user agent switcher in firefox to impersonate an epic 4g and downloaded the apk that way. I uninstalled the trial version that I had because it claimed it was already installed. Annoying that they didn't use the market, but I guess as long as I hold on to the apk and data it should be fine.

Just saw that Gameloft is extending the download period for Dungeon Hunter for another 24hrs due to technical difficulties they were having.
why not choose gt-i9000 galaxy s like their tweet mentioned? i'm downloading it atm
update: installed and downloading additional 241mb required.
Has there been a app dump of the Acer A500. I'm trying to get the clear.fi apk. I would like to try it for streaming video over the network. The A500 at my local best buy didn't have a google account so I couldn't use astro to backup the app and upload it to my dropbox.

Lol never thought of that. Trying a unit and upload some apk's
Anyway will post some extractions of the Iconia when the new forum for the Acer is opened.
cool
I was in the store and the clear.fi app was seeing all the PC's on the best buy network. Only problem none of them were sharing video. So I thought let me try to back it up a send it to my dropbox so I could share with the xda fam. But it was a no go. I guess they didn't have time to setup the market.
Here is the app I have a acer a500 if you need anything.

Nice - it sees my DirecTV media hub, and of course loads photos on internal memory. But FC's a lot. Here's a screenshot:

Is there a work around to get Hulu Plus going on the Galaxy Note?
There is a thread on Acer forums how to make Iconia A100 (Acer's 7-incher) play Hulu+ app.
link: acertabletforum.com/forum/acer-a100-general-discussion/1572-want-watch-hulu.html
In my /data/data/com.adobe.flashplayer/lib I dont see the file they reference in that thread (libflashplayer.so). Must be some other file that contains the identifying string for our Flash client...
Not really an answer, but perhaps a step in the right direction for those who want to play with this.
So is any one able to watch hulu on their notes yet?
I tried applying the hack from the above-mentioned acer forum and it went fine up until when I fired up the web browser and it crashes immediately every time. Everything went fine with transferring the libflashplayer.so file off of the device, modifiying it with a hex editor, saving it, and transferring it back onto the device. Maybe there's something else that needs to be done. I reverted back to the original libflashplayer.so file and everything's honkey-dorey again.
The hack sounds legit because they tell you to edit the libflashplayer.so file so that it reports the phone as a windows device instead of an android device. This would fool hulu.com into thinking that the Note is a windows device and thus letting the flash video play instead of throwing up the "your device is not supported" error. All that's involved with the hack is changing one line of code in the libflashplayer.so file from "AND 11" to "WIN 11" using a hex editor. I'm not sure why this would work for other android devices but not for the Note. Oh, well.
Maybe Hulu will update after ICS comes out. *fingers crossed*
Hi guys, sorry for bumping old threads. This modded apk will let you use Hulu Plus on your note:

BTW, I had to disable AdAway because the videos would get stuck at the Ads...ohh the irony! But it's working flawlessly!
How do you disable ad away? I don't have a hulu account anymore because they take so long with they're compatibility with new devices. But I downloaded that apk and tried a few free things and they played fine. But I remember hulu on my a500 always got stuck at ads

Some good free tunes at the Play store today. Check out the "Free New Indie, Hip-Hop, Electronic and More" section. I seldom find anything I like, but took 6 of 10 of these!
Call me old school, but I still buy all my music. If I want it on my tab or phone I just rip it at 320kbps and off we go.
Dam play store dont work in my country (music and movies section)
Not sure how to access free music section from the Play store on the Nexus.... Did you find it there or on a pc?
Cheers,
Jon

I did it on a PC, but looking at my Nexus, if you just scroll down to the bottom of the screen it's the 3rd block up on the left. It's all very "bassy", so listening with earbuds or on a PC sounds much better.

"Google's $35 Chromecast fared well in our review, but something that could make it even more useful is the ability to stream pictures and video from mobile devices. Users have been able to work around that on PCs by entering info for locally stored files into the Chrome address bar, and now ClockworkMod developer Koushik Dutta is showing off a solution for mobile that closes the gap with AirPlay. Demonstrated in the video after the break, his Phone to Chromecast app can fling pictures or videos stored on the phone directly to the dongle -- apparently thanks to web server software he'd already created for Android. There's no specific word on the codecs or resolutions tested, but he reports videos work at full framerate "like magic." The only bad news? The preview SDK terms mean he can't distribute the APK without written permission from Google, so this demo is as close as we're getting for now."

Sorry, YouTube tag wasn't working.
Let's just hope either Google agrees to push it through! Sounds awesome though.

could only take month
Do you guys think Google will actually approve it though?
Could this be integrated as a general 'share' feature with other apps like gallery, quickpic, etc?

My fear is that if they don't approve it, and it gets released anyway, Google will take steps to block it to appease content providers like HBO, Vudu, or whoever else they're trying to get onboard.
Outstanding........
hope google will approve this
So this would be similar to Samsung's AllCast? I know allcast uses DLNA while this uses a webserver, but functionally it would offer the same ability.
It seems with this method it could be easier to connect with and cast networked shares.
