What build are you on? Did you flash the kernel? I had the very same problem and it was solved for me. I'm typing this on my nook with my apple keyboard. Also check the Bluetooth Experience thread.

One of the overclock kernels can cause this problem. There is a file kernel.zip by verygreen. It will fix the problem. It is located at the link below. I used it myself and now the silver apple bluetooth keyboard works fine. I am running cm7 from an sd card. I shut down my nc. Removed the sd card, install the sd card in an usb adapter on a mac and replaced that file. He has other instructions at the link?

I'm ale to connect to my Holux GPSlim236 BT GPS to my NC using "Bluetooth GPS" from the market. Using the latest CM7 nighty build.
Impossible without rooting device, no other custom ROM currently supports BT than CM7.

Why not just run CM7 off the SD card? Have your, uh, Gingerbread and eat it, too.
You can run tethergps and get gps over wifi....not bt.
Search Dev forum for this Topic:

Runs CM7 off a MicroSD so you don't have to screw around with Stock or EMMC. I personally haven't Rooted my Stock, yet I've run Android 2.2, 2.3, and 3.0 all from MicroSDs.

so why does a reader need gps?
sounds to me like you want a tablet...
there's plenty of reader apps on the market but only one way to get bluetooth.

Well....... I use Bluetooth GPS Provider to connect my Holux 236 GPS to my Nexus One and then TetherGPS to share it to my Nook Color.
So my stock rooted Nook Color is using a bluetooth GPS. Does that count?
My Nook Color is running CM-7.0.0-encore from SD. I found my old HP iPAQ Bluetooth foldable keyboard and tried it out. It immediately found the keyboard and paired with it, but says "paired but not connected". Any ideas about what to do next?
I'd love to get this to work, because the keyboard form factor is excellent. I've attached some pictures.
Thanks,
OKMD
Download bluekeyboard -jp. It works with the apple ipad bluetooth keyboard I paired it with.

Paired, but not connected.
I, too, am trying to use an iPAQ keyboard with my rooted color nook. I've tried a number of different connection apps. The scan for BT devices finds and identifies it. When I try to pair it, it asks for a PIN. I use the suggested "0000". But, all I ever get is "Paired, but not connected." Any suggestions? This should be easy, right? I confess, I know little about bluetooth.
HELP!
I too have an HP Ipaq bt keyboard, in the bluekeyboard jp list of
kbs that work with the app, there is one that looks IDENTICAL but
under some other name. anyhow keyboard shows up and pairs, won't
connect, and doesn't show up in bluekeyboard jp when you go to select
a keyboard.
Hi everybody:
I had a iPAQ BT foldable keyboard (SPP, no HID), and I wish it works on my Galaxy Nexus for daily use (when playing games, or typing with Chinese input methods).
I've tried some apps, and keyPro Demo works, but it gave me a new IME which only support English input. I wondered if anybody here give me some help. Thanks all!!
Anyone get this to work?

Worked great with KeyPro an JB 4.2.2...
Can't seem to find any topics that mention the same as i ask here, if there exists a topic. please feel free to direct me there, instead of flaming.
I was wondering after i read this
http://venturebeat.com/2011/08/29/25-computer-pi-quake-3/?obref=obnetwork
if it was possible to do the same with our o2x?
With connecting a keyboard and mice to the phone via the micro usb slot and then connect the phone with the hdmi cable to a screen, and run a os maybe linux?
You can install Linux on your phone no problem, it's whether the keyboard, mouse and HDMI out would all work.
Then again, it's been a while since i got linux running on a phone so things might have improved since then
Hmm.Anyone who have tried it yet with the keyboard and mice?

Works great with bluetooth devices, I've tried a keyboard without a glitch
Then this changes everything! i'll have to invest in a bluetooth keyboard and a mice. Then i will for sure check it out.
Im hopeing that the linux on our o2x has been polished so the wifi and sound works now. if so then i will for sure use my phone as a portable mini computer
But i don't think mices work, only keyboards, not 100% but before you invest in a new mouse maybe wait for another reply

I have 2 Droid 3 xt862 phones, neither have working audio when hooked up via HDMI.
Both are rooted but running stock, both have the GSM hack and are flashed with the Chinese radio.
Is the problem with the root or the flashed radio?
The HDMI cable and TV work fine,I tried the cable using an Atrix 2.
I want to use one of the Droid 3's as a media/emulator center and have it always hooked up but the no audio makes that impossible.
Anyone else has this issue?

Which ROM? I would recommend backing up your ROM and SBFing. You can always reroot/Safestrap. Actually if you have SS 3 you can just switch ROM slots back to stock, SBF, and test and then just reroot and install SS and it'll be able to switch back. I've done that before.

Stupid question but is the headphone jack being used? Maybe see if plugging in some speakers to that makes a difference?

I've had the same problem with my D3, probably just a coincidence but since I've installed Minimoto the problem seems to be gone...
Anyway, the solution:
If you reboot the phone with the HDMI-cabe plugged in both to your device and the TV, the sound will work again.

How about connecting headphone output of phone to tv input you can. If you don’t have the input on yourTv you could try hooking the headphone output to a stereo receiver.

i could try that, kinda defeats the purpose of hdmi tho.
i SBFed one of the droid 3s and it still didnt fix the issue,my guess is it's hardware related, maybe a defect since ive read others have had the same issue...
im just going to get a droid x2 and use that for my 16-bit rom gaming .
Ok, did you try rebooting the phone with hdmi plugged in and the tv on? That's what did the trick for me numerous times.
edit:
Perhaps something is stuck in the headphone-jack, making a connection, tricking the phone that headphones are plugged in and thus blocking sound from hdmi?
hi all
i have recently installed cm 10.2.1 on my nook, and now i am trying to use it as a navigation sytem.
i would like to share the gps signal from my nexus s, running stock android 4.1.2. i tried gps 2 bluetooth, bluetooth gps output on nexus s, and bluetooth gps provider on nook, all of them can not make it work. seems like the bluetooth pairing doesnt work properly. also, i dont see such mock location in nook, simply because cm doesnt have developer option but superuser.
so how can i share my gps signal frm nexus s to nook please?
regards
victor
I don't know the answer to your question, but you said CM doesn't have developer options. It does, you just have to activate it. Go to settings, about tablet and tap the build number several times. That will activate developer options. With that being said, I use CM10.1.3 and the allow mock locations is there. But I don't know first hand if it is in CM10.2.1.

Others have said you must turn off wifi to get things to pair. Once paired, you can turn wifi back on.

I was curious about this too, and also have a nexus S (running slimkat rc3) and an HD+ with cm11 (8-Feb nightly). Seems to work, didn't need to disable wifi. Ran GPS over BT on the phone and Bluetooth GPS on the tablet. Make sure they are both visible to each other before pairing. Mock locations appears in dev options, Google it.

it doesnt seem to "try its best" to connect, i can actually pair them, in fact, my nexus found nook, but nook can never found nexus. so when i press nook on nexus, the pairing message appears in both, but when i tried to connect, it immediately goes to disable, this is what i mean it doesnt try hard.
when i installed cm 10.2.1, i actually forgot to update gapps n gapps didnt work, do i hv to do a similar approach to update bluetooth?? although i dont think so.
btw, how are you connecting them? how u share the gps over bluetooth n how u receive it on nook please?
Bluetooth pairing in cm10.2 has always been a little flaky for me, especially with multiple devices. It might take few tries, try toggling BT off and on. Once you get BT pairing sorted, you'll figure out the rest. It isn't rocket science

i assume it should be easy and straight forward as well, they can pair up, because both devices showing the pair messages, but once clicked the device and try to connect, it just never connected. i tried it with gps to bluetooth on and off before.
the best result i got so far was my nexus had to bluetooth turned blue only (i guess that means nexus connected to nook, but nook didnt connect to nexus s yet...)
It Does work

You will want an app like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=googoo.android.btgps
It will act as a GPS "provider" for any app that needs it. You must enabled "Mock Locations" under developer options for this to work though.

I believe it will work, but I think my problem is at the bluetooth pairing stage, I can never pair my Nexus S to Nook (CM 10.2.1) properly.
Do you have any comment on this please?
many thanks
