Has anyone ever seen a bumper case for the NS? I'd really like to get one!
Back story:
Bought an iMask for my NS but it was hell setting up the side parts. Long story short, my phone is pretty much invincible from scratches but the sides! Oh the sides! (The horror!)
If you have bumped into any bumper case around, give me a heads up. Thanks!
Seems like I might not be the only one missing this case. I just posted this 2 days ago and today, the search key "Nexus S Bumper Case" from both google and bing brings me to this post.

Thinking of odering this.. it doesnt seem to expensive.. i would much prefer a case like the incipio feather with a smart cover ala ipad but for the moment at least this would keep it safe and protect it.. till others start making snazzier cases..
just ordered it.. hopefully have it tomorrow/monday.... hoping to also be able to pick up my nexus 7 monday!

I received this case yesterday. I like the size and feel. It fits the N7 very well. It ships from Hong Kong so it took about a week to get to me in Texas. The construction quality looks good so far. Time will tell on durability. Very Flexible and has a magnetic closure.
Is it real leather though?
I have it doesn't fit the nexus 7 well it moves around when its inside the little overlaps and sometimes the front camera is covered by the "leather" so you have to push the nexus 7 up from the bottom corner

So after ordering one case it got lost the the mail but I contacted the seller and received another case the following day good service there
Now the case is a perfect fit and the wake sleep function is very handy stands up well and the n7 feels like it's snug and protected it also adds very little extra bulk so my tablet still fits in my jeans happy days
In summary if you love your tablet and want to keep the 7" wonder safe but don't want to break the bank I would recommend this case oo and the carbon fibre look makes the case look very flush

I have that same case except mine isn't carbon fiber and its pretty good. The n7 fits perfectly in it and its not that bulky for a leather case. All in all I would say its a good case.

The photos look like they photoshopped jelly bean screenshots on top of a Kindle Fire--even the fact that they left one of the pictures as a closeup of the speaker port for the Kindle Fire is kinda funny. Other than that it might still be pretty decent.
Edit: Actually that closeup is an iPad--seems kind of weird that they included that picture for a 7-inch case of a completely different product.
Well I did notice the camera hole was missing from the front in the picture however I have seen reviews saying all access holes are perfect I hope the picture is just a mock up

I was looking at the 'Nexus 10 Accessories' website and discovered they had found a Folding Smart Cover case. It is one of those generic ones from China, but they seemed quite happy with it.
You can find it on Ebay by searching "HardBack PU Leather Case With Folding Smart Cover for Google Nexus 10"

Anyways, I purchased one in black and for $16.65 plus free shipping it might be a good option for people, especially those who are stuck with Amazon.ca rather than Amazon.com

Is it similar to the iPad one? I want one that's magnetic and turns on the screens when I lift it up.

It does look very similar to the Ipad one, so similar I am sure they will be receiving a letter from Apple's lawyers at some point, maybe not, but with Apples track record regarding litigation anything is possible.
Anyways, I ordered mine in black and it shipped this week. I should have it in the next 10-15 business days. I will post my impressions of it when I get it.

If you can make a video it would be cool. I think it looks nice but what about quality? I'm thinking about getting one of this cases.
I have 2 concerns about this case.
#1 landscape using the stand, will the flap hang down over the screen or will it stay back behind the tab?
#2 when holding the tab with the front cover folded behind it, will that flap get in the way of your hands in portrait mode and again, will it interfere with the screen in landscape?

#1 If you fold the flap backwards often enough, you can make it sort of stay upright without it falling over the front while in landscape mode. The flap is soft after all.
#2 The flap is magnetic, you can actually fold it backwards and it will magnetically snap onto the folded front cover, since the front cover has its own internal magnets.

I ordered one and I received it a few days ago. It too two weeks from order to receive but was well worth the wait. I got the white one and it looks oh so sweet. I'm going to order a couple more colors I like this thing so much. I have the Poetic slimline portfolio thinking that would be the best option but now I'm not so sure. I might have three of these other cases before the Poetic even ships.

I am glad to hear you liked the case. I am still waiting for mine, but I expect to get it soon. In the meantime I purchased the blur ex case, it is decent, but, I am left wanting more.

I think we need to protect the device as soon as possible, so I ordered one of this cases yesterday because we don't know when Google or Samsung are going to launch an official smart cover for the N10. If they release an official case soon I'm going to buy it, just if it looks nice and the price is good.
Also, advantages I see on this case is that covering the N10's back you're avoiding:
- Fingerprints
- Attract dust
- Back creaking
I received mine the other day. I must say I am not a big fan of it.
The back holds the device very well, but the front cover just does not feel optimized for the tablet.
It slides around and does not grip the screen very well.
Additionally, if you peel back the screen cover and use the magnet to attach it at the back it won't work on portrait mode. The magnet on the back does something to the magnet unlock and it turns off the screen.
It is a case you could use at home, but I would be wary of taking it out into public, or even tossing it into your bag as the front cover does move a bit and could leave the screen vulnerable.
I have the blurex case as well and I will be sticking with that one from now on.

I wonder how this compares to the Slimline that just started shipping. Since these are both intended as front-folding (like the iPad's) and thin covers - which is actually thinner?
I've had my nexus 7 for around 3-4 months, never really used it much but now I'm getting hooked to it. Ive got a standard folio type case for it but dont really like it as the flap constantly gets in the way.
Has anyone seen a snap on type of case that is leather. An example of what I mean is something like whats attached but for nexus 7 of course. I cant seem to find one but maybe on of you guys could help me? Thanks

To be honest....the back of the n7 already has that leathery/rubbery premium feel about it. That's why I haven't seen one around yet cuz it's kinda pointless to protect the back of the n7.

I got a plastic back only snap on case for my HTC Evo View 4G and when I moved to the Nexus 7 I got one for it. I agree with the OP and like the extra protection without the bother and bulk of a more traditional case. I.I too would prefer leather or even naugahide but unfortunately I could only find textured plastic ones. They aren't shiny nor plastic-y with the sand like finish. Bought on eBay. If you want but can't find it I can try to get a valid url.

I still these things at a pretty high volume, for retail, but I can't get a single custom case for it. I carry it in a small, but oversized, Case Mate, Netbook case. Of course, Amazon has a ton of cheap cases- but, cases are one of those items I try before I buy.

I just got my Note 5 recently but have yet to get a case because I'm undecided! I've been looking at wallet style cases but the ones I've seen online for the most part look like cheap flimsy pleather and I'm not a fan.. However I came across this:

It does look good but given that many of those folio/wallet cases feature magnets, I would ask the seller if the case has hidden magnets that may hamper SPen functions.

the case is great. great quality good protection. the only con is the magnet. even with the magnet i still have bought 2 of them for my note 4 and 5. eventually it will make a spot on the screen where the pen doesnt work. sorry i just checked the actual link. so this one doesnt look like it has the magnet. mine is the one with it. i can see there being an issue with keeping it closed without a magnet. i have 5 cards in mine and the magnet is needed.

I've used a different leather flip from ebay, I just removed both magnets. No magnet needed, says closed.

Yup I did. Only just ordered it the other day though. Had to think hard about it because I was also looking at the High Pro Shield as well. I'll post up pics when I get it in.

I asked the seller before buying and he said there are no magnets. Hope that's true because it's one of the reasons I don't buy wallet cases usually. That and it adds bulk.
It looks nice but those pocket not so. Is there any leather case out there without the pocket on the left? I think magnet is a good idea to keep the cover close in a drop.

Any case with a magnet will create a dead spot on your screen when using the Spen.
