Settings > Applications > Manage Applications >
Then make sure you look under the all tab. The downloaded tab is the default for me.
It is called Google Services Framework and you clear the data for this one and cache for market.
Also I would like to note that I am running Nookie Froyo 0.6.8 SD Card Rom. Good luck!

when i do that, in the "G" section i only have these: Gallery, Gingerbread Keyboard, Gmail, Gmail Storage, Google Apps, Google Search, Google Sky Map, Google Talk Service, Google Talk Storage, Gsearch and thats it no Google Services Framework, even in the "All" filter.

It's not there in a stock 2.1 install. Only in froyo and up.

Fix for market.android.com not working

Did some research and found a fix for the Nexus One (mine at least) where the online market shows that an app has been downloaded and installed, but never shows up on the phone. Does not require a data wipe:
1) go to settings>applications>manage applications>all>google services framework>clear data
2) same settings>applications>manage applications>all>market>clear cache and force close
3) go to Titanium Backup and filter by "All" and Apply. Scroll to Market, click on it and select Wipe Data.
4) Reboot phone
5) Open and sign out of GTalk, then re-open and sign in.
6) Open Market and accept agreement. Let it load your apps. Close Market.
7) Go to market.android.com and sign in. Go to My Market Account>Settings tab>Edit>Nickname your phone and click Update.
8) Download an app. My downloads now start almost immediately.
Done!
Thanks man

You are welcome, glad it's working well for everyone.
Worked like a charm!
Great work and thanks! Worked perfectly. Apps instantly go to phone now.
Just another success story here. Thanks!
I am wondering if someone could explain the first step, clearing the Google Services Framework? Why is that needed in addition to all the market steps?

I believe that it's because it mimmicks a factory reset/data wipe in the google framework cache without actually wiping your phone (which was Google's answer to the issue) and allows the other services to re-connect cleanly. The google services framework handles google account & login information for google apps I think. Also, it won't work with just the market steps alone.

Market still fails to download

I have a nook color running froyo on the internal memory, and cannot download apps from the market. I tried reinstalling and signing in to goggle through talk, re pushing the market apk and google services apk, clearing the cache and data for both apps, and reinstalling. Still no luck, although im trying market enabler now. Any ideas?

Have you tried either of these methods:

None of those methods worked, and the market enabler didn't either

market can be a ***** sometimes.
wipe market data over and over (and reboot) until it works.
CM7
no longer use froyo, CM7 is coming...
I'm having the same problems with the same version of 2.2. Never had any problems with the older versions I tried.
I have tried lots and lots of things. I usualy get it to work for maybe 1 download after after I uninstall one app, once it worked after I moved all the apps I had on the sd card to the internal memory. Sometimes I got it to work by canceling the google talk login.
The fact remains the latest 2.2 version is broken somehow.
I'm having the same problem.
Edit: I found a solution to my problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11545846&postcount=400
"To fix market download problems I force stopped Market, cleared its cache and data. Did the same for Google Framework Services. Then in ROM Manager I fixed permissions, rebooted to recovery. In recovery I formatted cache. I got the four unable to mount cache messages that others reported, but the Market works."
Did you accidently/purposely delete any of the Gtalk, Talk, or TalkProvider apks? If so then you'll need to go back to stock and re-root. If not, then start up the Google Talk app, login if not already, then logout, then login again.
When is CM7 comming ???

Android Market.. please help

I have my new Nook Color rooted to 3.0. I was able to use the Market perfectly fine for quite some time, downloading over a dozen apps. However, now it's giving me all sorts of problems. The last few downloads failed. If I try to redownload them, I never get a notification. It's like it forgot about me. Then it said I needed to resign into Gmail, and even with a valid password, it said it was wrong. Magically, without entering a password, it started working again. However, I still can't download everything.
I've tried to clear the cache on the Android Market app, and restart, but nothing. Now Google Talk won't authenticate. Ughh..
Please help!
Protip. Honeycomb isn't ready to be used for nook.
I know it's not fully operational, but I also know there's a way to get the Market working again. That's all I need to know.
No idea if this works, you could try downloading and installing the Cyanogenmod GApps package (can't post a link...it's easy to find on the official CM website).
Be prepared to bork your installation and have to reinstall HC completely, though. In general, you shouldn't expect much luck from a hacked SDK build that is soon to be obsolete.
Honestly, after doing some research, I think it's Google Talk. Other Android users have the same issue. If Talk won't connect (authentication failed), then Market won't work. I haven't found a solution though to the problem.. still looking.
Ok, I'm done with 3.0, this is frustrating. What's the best way to go from 3.0 to an earlier version of Android like 2.2 or 2.3?
I am running nookie froyo 0.6.8 from SD card. My Market also wasn't working and my google talk aslo failed to authenticate. I clear the cache for the market and I cleared the google services framework data and it worked again. I also found that have my install from unknown sources enable wouldn't allow my market to load at all. It gave me errors. If anybody knows how to fix that problem please help me. Good luck!

Seriously, you're my hero. It worked after I did that and rebooted!
One problem though, while it's at least trying to download and install now (and works on programs like Pandora), I can't get Angry Birds or AB Seasons to install. It always says it was unsuccessful. Any thoughts?

Also I don't take credit for this fix. Somebody else posted it and I was just saying that I had the same problem and that this solution worked for me as well and I wanted to add that having Unknown sources checked cause the market to not working for me not sure if others are having that problem.

Can the system be set to download games to internal memory instead of the SD card, so that we won't have to pull the SD card out? Is that possible just wondering?
Um, how can you get away with pulling the SD card if you're running the OS off the card?
Market is broken for me...
Can anyone help me out with this Market not working?
I'm running stock NOOKcolor ROM v1.1 with AutoNooter (for root) and ADW launcher. Everything was working great for me and when I tried to install the latest Market the Market stopped working. It loads, and I accepted the terms and conditions, then it drops back to the home screen (launcher desktop). And each new time I load it, it drops back to the home screen.
I tried clearing cache, and data for the Market. I tried unchecking the USB debug, and Allow Non-Market Installs. I tried removing the microSD card. I tried reverting back to the old Market. I tried looking for the Google Services Framework, but could not find it under all apps. Nothing is working for me.
Any suggestions or tips? Anyone else having this problem?

[Q] System Apps on Darky

I recently installed Darky v9.5 and I love it. However, there is one very annoying little thing.
The "system apps" installed by the ROM, like Titanium Backup and a few other aren't "registered" in the market. That is, Market doesn't pick up that I already have it installed.
Was just wondering if there is some association that I can create so that Market will recognize it and update it natively.

If you are having the same issue I had (with most newer roms), you go into "Manage Applications", go to "All", find Market, and clear data. The next time you go into the market, it will rebuild (correctly) your app list in MyApps.

Cant install Google Map 6.0 in ICS

guys, i am using super ics in my i9023. but Cant install Google Map 6.0 in ICS. i have wiped data and uninstalled maps with titanium backup and then tried to install maps 6.0 but it says install failed. tried many times but same result. any idea what happened? cheers
This is the latest gapps.zip (I think) with latest maps and music, but doesn't have wallet.
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/47770734/gapps.zip
I use koush's gapps @ http://download.clockworkmod.com/test/gapps-ics-20111125-2.zip (includes google wallet)
1. Use Titanium backup and convert google maps to a user app (long press maps)
2. market doctor -> deselect all -> find google maps -> doctor that
3. uninstall google maps
4. download google maps
.... and it'll work.
Can't find market doctor on the market
When I try to update I just get an error
Edit I see its an option in titanium but I'm scared to delete because I'm thinking that error will pop back up has anyone done this with success

same here, exact issue
no good maps/gps and can't uninstall and reinstall(DL) from market
maybe a cache issue?
Use the following commands with adb installed...
adb remount
adb shell
su
rm /system/app/Maps.apk
pm uninstall com.google.android.apps.maps
reboot
The issue, I think, lies with ICS
No other roms have this issue for me
I changed to pico from google tts--no issues

in most ROMs the lib files needed for google tts are missing. Just add them and google tts will work.

Anyone ever figure this out? I tried this method, but Maps doesnt show up in Market Doctor when you run it.
UPDATE: nevmind. I think you need to select "Detach from Market" as well, for it to show up in Market Doctor.
ALSO, this doesnt work either. I followed the instructions and it just reverts to the factory 5.11 maps, and then gives error when you update.
I followed the steps and got Maps 6.0.
But I didn't liked it much, force closes like mad, reverted back to 5.0.1 now
