To use boot into recovery and flash the zip.
It will install to /system/media/ by default.

can u resize this to make it work on a mytouch 3g? please, i flashed it works flawlessly but on a mytouch the image is in landscape mode. can you?

I created it to run in landscape, ill flip it round when i get a chance and add it to first post. l was going to add the universal pictures mp3 to it, but I thought it might be a bit cheesy!?

[BOOTANIMATION] Spotlighted Android

This is my first attempt at a boot animation so easy on me fellas!
I remember having something similar on my tattoo a few years back, couldn't find it so I made a new one
All comments are appreciated.
All images are hdpi, I'm not sure how it works with low res devices, tested on O2X and works.

The first part is only played once and the spotlighting of the text is looped until the device is fully booted.
To install simply replace /system/media/bootanimation.zip
This one is not flashable!!

Metal gear solid Foxhound Logo custom boot

Ok so I was looking all over the internet for custom boot animations of characters or anything from Metal gear solid for the PSX (Ps1) and couldn't find a single one I liked, I thought having the "Foxhound special forces" Logo would be awesome so I got right to work quickly on making it without knowing where to place the file.
Once I finished up what I thought was a cool boot up I looked up "how to install a custom boot animation on Galaxy S captivate" and ended up on this forum.
I saw all of the work you guys have done and was so damn blown away by the bad ass custom boots that I no longer felt mine was worthy of posting, anywho I asked a member of this forum fritzgerald for some help improving and he gladly accepted... here it is!

Cobra (G.I. Joes) bootanimation.

I just thought I'd share my bootanimation with you guys incase there were any fans out there that would like to have it. It keeps failing to upload to xda so, https://www.box.com/s/086a239df9325e7213c6
it is 9.4mb. I will get the size down when I get around to switching out the png files for jpeg.
For now, I just want to clean up the blood and color change abit to make it look abit better. Eventually, the glowing eyes will be dropped in favor of Cobra Commander slowly backing away from the screen revealing that insignia is the one on his mask.
Also the last part does loop until your device boots.

custom first boot screens

just putting out a feeler
to see if anyone would like custom first boot screen .the one that pops up as soon as you
turn on your phone
if you would like one find a 480x800 pic you like
and post it here and i will convert it into a first boot screen for you

To apply these you have to extract the files from the zip..then boot into the tricolor screen, then right click on the custom ruu and run as admin,then follow the onscreen instructions...this only changes the first boot screen and will NOT mess with anything else ​
