Ok, I don't know if anyone else experiences this. And am not talking about the sensor that makes the screen blank when you bring the phone closer to your ear.
This usually occurs if the person does not answer the call and it goes to the person's voicemail and until the voicemail recording hangs up. Only then will the screen resume.
Sometimes the screen automatically blanks once you touch "call mobile"
Anybody know what am talking about?

Anyone knows how to fix this ?, if I answer the call with the screen, the screen shuts down after 5 seconds as it should. But, if I answer the call with the BT headset, the screen stays on for the entire call. How can I answer the call with the BT headset make the screen go off after 5 seconds ?, does this happen for everybody ?
Do have the same problem. Using answerkeysdisabler helps to switch screen off when receivind a call via BT but when I'm calling it stays on all the time (
HI,
When a call comes in and if i have GPRS on; i get a different screen to answer the call. This is not the same screen with the large answer and Ignore button. It is more like the screen when you get a notification. In fact there are two screens ; the actual and this one which is on top.
Any way to get the screen with the answer / ignore button with gprs on?
Thanks
I have a strange problem. When my XDA Ignito is in standby (sleep), when I get an incomming call, the phone dialler does not load up to show the caller ID and answer/ reject soft keys.
The phone rings, and I get the "send text" option in the bottom left, but I can just see my standard home screen. I cannot see anywat to envoke the dialler screen and thus handle the call/ see who is calling.
This seems to only happen when the phone has been idle for a longer period of time.
Any ideas what the problem could be?
Thanks in advance
Running ViperROM: if the phone is set up for PIN unlock, with screen off, I've got an issue with calls.
Call goes to my phone, screen turns on and I get the regular dissmiss/answer screen. If I hit dismiss, it answers the call. So does answering the call.
Anyone else having same problem?
I keep my phone in my pocket with the screen next to my leg or chest depending on what I am wearing etc. I have my earphones plugged in and use the inline mic for answering calls. However the screen comes on when I get a call and because the screen is next to my skin through thin fabric it causes the phone to react as if touched so I get call hangups during a call and when the call ends the screen is still unlocked and does other funky things (like skipping tracks in my music player).
I use an app to keep the screen ON during a call so when I am on speakerphone it does not blank out.
How the hell do I have the screen remain locked during a call on headset and ON during a call when on speakerphone (and still respond to the proximity sensor when used normal so blanks when near my face)?
This is a terrible design flaw!
EDIT: Looks like the answer is here.

Why you not make that default option HTC???
EDIT2: Dammit! That only works when the call is incoming. It still does not stop the screen from waking when I answer the call from the headset!!!
I just purchased Headset Screenlock thinking that would do the trick. But if I answer the call (by ringing myself from a land line phone) the screen shows the incoming call with the answer or decline options (which can still get answered or hung up accidentally by the look of things) and if I answer the call using the headset button the screen goes blank and after that...nothing. I cannot get the screen back! I have to reboot the phone holding the power button down for 10 seconds.
I went back immediately to get a refund but it was not available. Pretty sure it was less than 15 minutes too. The developer of the app says he will give a refund if not satisfied within 24 hours. But how? I have emailed him asking and telling him about the crash etc.
This is really frustrating.
