Why is it that noone changes the clock and notification text colour to match there theme? At best they just remove the clock.
Took me ages of looking and a few questions pointed in the right direction to do it on my theme.
But it seems possible to set the clock and notification colours to anything.
So why don't people do it?

I'm trying to create a theme for android, I'm currently working on SuperE 1.0.2
I've made the notification bar black, but the problem is that the clock in the corner is still in black so you can't read the time.
i know that other themes (like darkstar)with black title bars have been able to turn that text white.
any help here?
Im having the same issue I cant see my clock because it and my bar are black. How can we fix this? thanks
same problem here
On the homescreen, hit menu-> settings-> spare parts. Scroll down to notifications and change the text color lol. It's a feature in CM5 based roms.
Ive been playing around with the notification bar on cyanogen 6.1.0, got it looking really nice, also played around with a few fonts but what i do need help with is how do I change the color of the clock and the date as no matter what im trying there staying black. And i need them white as I now have a black notification bar
Can anyone gimme a little advice on this little dilemma of mine.
Thanks
Hey Guys,
I know there is a lot of interest in having a translucent notification bar, and so I've MetaMorphed mine to translucent from droidpirate. It is translucent, but looks black because the wallpaper does not extend to behind the notification bar. I've found workarounds to extend the wallpaper behind the status bar in custom launchers for other phones, but none of them have worked for me on the Bionic.
I'm new to skinning and I've tried to read up on this particular issue, but I'm hoping someone with more experience can put me on the correct path.
Edit* I'm starting to think the issue is with the stock gallery app requiring you to crop an image before apply it as a wallpaper...
Thanks,
Jason
Just wondering if there's a simple way to edit a MIUI theme? I have Formel's MIUI Mod (now known as KelLMSKing, but I'm still running Formel's last one), and I downloaded the Dark Blue theme from the new one. I like certain aspects of the theme, but other aspects of the original one so I've mixed and matched the two themes for what I like .. almost. The last change I'd like to make: How can I edit the font colour in the pulldown notification bar?
Fixed.. sort of
I fixed this.. sort of.
I downloaded a dark theme that would have the black pulldown notification bar, then when I installed it I de-selected everything (fonts, icons, lockscreen, etc) and selected only the "Theme" which makes the text in the notification easy to read and actual usable checkboxes.
Posting this in case it helps anyone else.
Hi
Would somebody (tell me how to/be kind enough to do it for me ) change a few things, I assume in SystemUI.apk. I have done some switching of icons to try and attain the GE/Holo Blue icon colours. I have done them all, at least the ones I need but I have 3 issues which go beyond my knowledge:
1) I want the status bar clock to match, it's currently white.
2) I want to hide my operator logo from the lockscreen and notification pulldown.
3) I would like my notification background to be a little transparent.
If somebody could help, with any of them, that would be great.
Thanks
