If you want sense why dont you get a HTC

I believe it was not posible due to diffrent chipset...
Sent from my LG-P990 using XDA App

Sense is closed source. So you cant easely port it to a new chipset. But if htc at some point makes a tegra2 phone it can be done. (But they seem content with qualecom)
Anyway. Sense blows. So no loss there.

Sense is heavy with neon simd code and afaik tegra 2 does not have a neon capable processor but we have a fpu which will give us much better performance with emulators

Fcuk Sense. Get Launcher Pro Plus.

Is it true that with Gingerbread, companies like HTC can't use UIs like Sense on Android?

Where did you hear that? I don't see why they can't. Samsung didn't inflict touchwiz on the nexus s probably because it's supposed to replace the nexus 1 as Google's dev phone.

I think the wording was more like: With 3.0, they were trying to remove the need for skins.
Now, this was a while back, Gingerbread isn't 3.0 and they never said they couldn't use them.
Oh ok lol

Good bye and thank you

I've just part exchanged my IS for an GS2, so unforunately won't be flashing any more great rom's on the incS. Therefore, just wanted to say thanks to all the dev's especially Nik for his fanatastic work and all the incS users for the help given to make my incS experience more enjoyable.

The SGS2 is awesome. Congrats! Out of curiosity; are you going to keep your Incredible S as a backup phone? I'm wondering what I should do with mine after upgrading to the SGS3.

I know what you mean about missing HTC Sense. Even though gs2 is much faster and smoother, it lacks that style which sense has. No regrets so far. Next phone HTC one X

The people with skill to fix the ril are busy trying to figure out what was done to fix ril on sense 4.1...once that's figured out I'm sure someone will step up...patience is virtue...something all us vivid owners should have...we've been pretty spoiled this last month or two, but let's not turn into spoiled brats constantly whining for more (not saying you guys are whining...just don't want to see it happen in the future)

Hello, sorry if it's a noob question.

This month is really busy with work trips for me so I'm not really free, but if you aren't able to get help by the end of the month I'll send you a PM. Although the Vivid forum is quiet since most people left XDA, there is still a good base of users for it, so good luck!!!
I may be able to help, do we set up team viewer just so you can modify one folder where zips are located? Is this so you can apply changes to the zips for us to move to our phones faster or what? Just trying to understand the need for the team viewer
