if im not mistaken you need some sort of OBEX transfer on the phone... I THINK.. maybe someone can back me up or break me down on this!
It was working...
The problem is it was working alright only after I got something sent over to me by another phone via Bluetooth I have lost Synch partnership! Now everytime I try synching with my system it only show Serial Port as services available and not Active Synch as earlier!
That is the worst title you can think of. You may have got your answer earlier if not for the stupid title.
Go to activesync, on the connection setting, add your bluetooth serial port to it.
Thanks...
Thanks for your comments. The problem is I have already done what you have said, but my phone recognises my system as "Serial Port" or "Active Synch" not both together....

So, what is your problem? Just choose the "Active Sync" when your phone recognise your PC as "Active Sync". Please state your problem clearly.
hmmm, i think you've been hit by a virus phone, you dnt have a choice, only HARD RESET

When I pair my phone with the system the services it shows on the phone is only "Serial Port" and not "Active Synch". So when I try synching via Bluetooth from the Active Synch on the phone I get a message "Please pair a phone with Active Synch". I am not being able to make my phone "realise" that there is Active Synch on my system!

Hmm.. there seems to be communication problems between you and me too No worries. Anyway, just to confirm, that you have done this already.
Go to Active Sync.
Click on 'File'->'Connection Settings'
Check (tick) 'Allow connection to one of the following'
At the list below, choose the COM port that your bluetooth is attached to.
Delete the bluetooth pair (on your phone)
Re-pair (match) your bluetooh again (on your phone).
If fail, try another COM port at the 'Allow connection to one of the following'
Have done that
I have done what you have told me. The problem is my phone doesn't even recognise that my system has Active Synch via Bluetooth. All it show is Serial Port! It was working fine until I tried the dial-up funtion to connect to internet via GPRS. Since then when I pair it shows my phone as a modem. I have tried unpairing pairing several time no luck :?
Kull, I had a similar problem where my phone would not recognize the ActiveSync connection and would show it as serial port. Turns out that the port was unchecked in ActiveSync's connection settings. Hope this helps.
i had a similar problem...i deleted everything on bluetooth devices and ports on desktop pc and started from scratch...also soft reset the device...it worked for me...
Tried all but...
I have tried several things, including hard resetting the phone, installing Active Sync, repairing, problem just refuses to go!
You did create a port in bluetooth right. Control Panel, Bluetooth see pix...
Then select this port in ActiveSync.
Done that...
Yeah this is all fine, I think the problem is on the phone, somehow some port or something is blocking something.... if only I knew....
i´ve the some problem, and i remember that deleting a file on ppc, the problem was solved, but i don´t remember what file

Found a possible "solution" for some people who have been having problems estabishing a BT AS Partnership with their Universal and a host computer running AS. What I found was you may need to edit the registry to fix the problem. Here's what happened to me yesterday:
Morning: Hard reseted my device and installed all my software apps at my work computer via AS in USB mode as a Guest. Note: I have not set up a partnership with any computer (either USB or BT).
Evening: Got in my truck and paired my JasJar to my BT GPS receiver via a BT Serial Port. Used TomTom and navigated home.
Late Evening: Got home. I wanted to set up a BT AS Partnership first so I went through the procedures of pairing my device and my home computer. And guess what, it didn't work. My JasJar would not see that AS was an available option on my home computer (NOTE: Before Hard Resetting my device in the morning, I had previously established a BT AS Partnership with my JasJar so I know my machine supported that profile). What the @?#~! Ok. I did a search of the word "sync" through the registery. Came up with an interesting issue. Under the registry entry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Ac tiveSync\
In that directory I saw a folder listed as: 000a3a051d0f (This folder is specific to my device (more below)). I was wondering what this was since I did not have any BT ActiveSync Profiles set up yet. When I looked in it, I realized immediately that this is the Device Profile for my GPS RECEIVER!!!! What the hell was it doing in this directory I asked myself. So I deleted the folder 000a3a051d0f from the directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Bluetooth\Ac tiveSync\
And guess what? I was able to establish a partnership via BT immediately!!!
Wow miguel, this seems to be the answer. Finally after sooo long I get a possible solution. Now even I see a mysterious folder in the exact place u have mentioned. This problem occurred after I transferred a file to a Nokia phone. So this must be the issue. Can check only after I return from my hols though. Thanks again.
Hi All
After looking at this amazing application - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=427097 - I decided to install it, works great if im using the USB wire. But my problem is that Vista wont find my Diamond to connect it to a PAN, ive followed the information on that guide.
Ive tweaked my registry, ive also ran WM6BTPAN which doesnt seem to do much.
Ive also checked my MSI Btoes drivers on my pc. Im running Vista 32bit Business and its find actually pairing with my Diamond, but when it comes to actually setting up the pan, I just get that screen (image attached).
Anyone else having this problem?? or even better anyone else know how to fix this?
Thanks
I got the same problem with xp, too.
I have an Belkin USB adapter and I even started the bluetooth network from the pc with the Belkin software... and in "network connections", the icon looks like it has a connection, but the computer isn't receiving any packages (just sending packages).
So what do I have to do so my Vario IV will connect?
...
I just found out that there is no connection between my Vario Iv and my PC:
I turned my bluetooth on my phone off and let the PC connect with the bluetooth network and it says it's connected.
So, if anyone has an anwser to this problem, please help us.
Thx
Hi,
I have some problems with connecting my NS to pc. What I expect is a "file transfer" or "active sync" connection but instead of that my pc gives me only one option to connect as "audio headset". I have tried everything but there are no other services available on my pc. NS shows in bluetooth menu "paired but not connected" but when I hit this option, nothing happen. It's a bit strange because there is no problem in my car. There goes automaticaly (maybe becouse this is a kind of audio headset).
Does anyone have a clue what is wrong with my NS bluetooth connection (or with myself maybe?)
any suggestions welcome,
greetz
Andy
Happens to me sometimes..just unpair and then pair it again
Sent from my Nexus S
I did that many times, doesn't help
yeah this happens to me too, repairing usually fixes it. i've had it on my nexus one and my nexus s but it seems to be better with the s,
Hi folks,
my wife has a GT540 with V20a and has gotten a new car (SEAT) these days.
We are not able to connect the LG with the car. We get only a message that a problem occured after trying to connect.
My Galaxy S can connect to her car, and her LG can connect to my car. The only combination not working is unfortunately her mobile with her car.
Any hints to solve it?
Thx in advance
Asellus
Try my app: "Bluetooth Fix Repair" in the Android Market
Good luck!
Hi guys, I have been having an issue with the watch not being able to connect with my phone whilst being paired- not sure if its a watch specific issue or phone issue,
The bluetooth works fine will all other devices: car/speakers they will pair + connect automatically.
However, when i try to connect with my watch, there is no problem in pairing the devices (the code thing what not) but after the pairing, the devices wont connect automatically, and whenever i try to connect the devices, i dont get any response from the phone. E.g., if i tap on my paired devices with my speaker, it will try to connect and shows "connecting..." but if i tap on the watch, nothing happens, not even an attempt to connect, simply stays at not connected. I removing the pairing and resetting the watch, as well as restarting both devices, but issue still persists. Unsure if this is a problem with my phone or the watch itself, as the phone has no problems with connecting with other devices. Havent been able to try the pairing the watch with a different phone (i dont have a spare phone i can try connecting with atm, but will try that later on in the week by borrowing a phone off friend.)
Issue is even stranger considering i had no problems using the watch with this exact phone beforehand, (i just stopped using it for about 6 months because i lost my watch charging station and i couldnt be bothered to get a replacement until now.....)
The watch has been updated to the latest version, and the phone in question is galaxy alpha, running android 5.0.2
Thanks guys.
same here.....i did not find a solution
