Is it possible to disable threaded sms view, whilst still keeping the conversation style touch flow?
(so txts in windows 'all messages' are displayed as normal, but as in touch flow they are the convo style?
As far as I know you can.
You can use Advance Config (use search function on XDA or Google to find it) to disable Threaded SMS. As TouchFlo has it's own settings (even with font etc), it should not affect the way TouchFlo shows your messages.
Just give it a try. Be aware that you have to install .NET (Compact) Framework 3.5 to get Advance Config (3.3 is the latest) working.

Or if you have a registry editor like PHM Regedit:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\SMSInboxThreadingDisabled=1
Then reboot your device.
How can i disable the Gmail notification light in XperiaSP without disabling the notification text info themselves for new emails?
I tried using the Illumination Bar app to disable it, but no luck.
Also, does anyone know if the other newer Xperia models give more items in the "Light Effects" section, because it would be really good if Gmail/email existed there so you could disable it, but unfortunately it's very lacking at the moment with only call, text and alarm settings.
Maybe enable the Stamina Mode and then tick all those apps you want to be active in standby, (dont tick Gmail then)
Any idea how to disable integrated SMS messaging app? Its somehow bugged and when using Hangouts as default SMS app, it still shows icon badges with new messages count. So even when I read SMS in Hangouts, it still shows count on app icon. And even when you open msg in internal app, it doesnt mark it as read, so count doesnt disappear.
Edit seems like quite problem, because sms app is integrated to dialer/phone app. So its not shown anywhere in system separately, so I cant controll what it does. And it doesnt allow to disable notification numbers on icon...

this problem is solved in actuall hangouts settings..
Check it or replace default messaging app in settings..
Got latest hangouts, its default SMS app. Done this one first.
But still messages goes also to internal SMS app and as they arrive, they are marked unread regardless what I do in Hangouts. So MSG app shows icon badge. Only way is to delete SMS in Hangouts, then they disappear from internal app.
Pinch the home screen and pick More Settings, then find Badge app icons. You should be able to turn them off from there.

Switched to nova launcher because of this, works fine too [emoji1]
Nova is my favorite and beats the EMUI IOS launcher, I must have an app drawer.
I cannot change the default message app at all
Like the title says I don't even have the menu item in Settings to do so.
I have downloaded 8sms and Textra but neither of these or Hangouts will successfully change from the default app. All can read my texts and the text history but I cannot send. I am tired of the default app which I think is poor and also the Android emojis which I cannot figure out.
Regarding emojis I've tried downloading different font and keyboards with iPhone/twitter/Samsung/Whatsapp style emojis but they are all changed into android ones in the actual messages
I have an L09 running Nova launcher with build B145.
Please tell me someone has a trick...
THANK YOU

I disabled the badge icons some time ago when I found the possibility of doing so by chance... now wanted to enable again and I couldn't find WHERE I had done that!
Thank you
Hello guys,
I try to set tasker to my new Mate 20 phone. I installed it with all authorizations, and I disabled the automatic save power control.
I set a first task – turn Bluetooth ON at 9AM. The task is running but at 9AM the Bluetooth is steel OFF and on the screen I have a popup “Allow Tasker to enable Bluetooth ?”.
A second task – Put the phone in Vibration mode at 10AM. At 10AM the phone switch to Vibration, but on the screen I have another popup “The vibration mode is activated”.
Why these popups, what I missed ?
Thanks for your help
Sounds like those popups came from another app. Maybe some security app or a preinstalled app from Huawei, which monitors who enables / disables system services. Do you see those popus also when you enable / disable bluetooth in the phone settings?
Try to identify the app / service owner of the popup by pressing long onto the popup. When you see a context menue choose app info.
Hi, I recently bought the Honor Play (model COR-L29), which is running EMUI v 9.0.0.156. Having been an iPhone user since it's first release I am struggling to adapt and find the new settings.
1) "Sensitive content" notifications: Notifications don't show any content (just "tap to open") - in settings > Notifications > Lock Screen Notifications I have "Show" selected and in the apps it is also selected. For example, in Messages > Settings > Notifications, they are allowed and "lock screen notifications" are set to "show".
2) Gmail notification numbers: My "App icon badges" are set to "unread messages", and when I have a missed call, new text message etc. a number is shown on the app icon, however with the Gmail app it does not show a number. I have had to use the built-in email app to get this feature working, and as the gmail app cannot be uninstalled I have two apps doing exactly the same function. How can I get the gmail app to show the number?
3) "Volume down" on the lock screen activates the camera. How do I turn this off? I use the SONOS app to control my speakers and lock screen volume control is enabled, but doesn't seem to work unless I wake the screen up, select the notification and then use the volume control. I'd like to be able to just use the volume control if a music app is running.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: I spoke with a friend who's running a different android device and undestand it better now:
The text message content will only show if the device is unlocked (so if I raise it and it scans my face) and this is apparently default and unchangable.
I was able to disable the volume button from activating the camera, and believe it's the SONOS app that is at fault for volume control when locked, as apple music works just fine with the volume control.
Not sure about the gmail app, hopefully it's also not app-specific, so if anyone has any insights that'd be great, I'll also check google support s it's mainly just the gmail app trouble I'm having now.
Thanks
