I was hoping that someone capable could take a look at these threads in order to port the lockscreen music controls to SGS. I know that the glasslockscreen already has this, but I'm using the android default lockscreen. And we all know how ****ty the samsung lockscreen is. And please don't suggest widgetlocker or something else, because I'm aware of those, but they aren't the same.
Since there already are these 5 lockscreen themes, I think this wouldn't be too hard for some of you guys The hold volume buttons to skip songs could be sweet too. (That's in the ZTE Blade thread)

Oh and please tell, if this should be in themes or general instead? I think it def involves development, but since there isn't any development done yet this could be wrong section to post this? /we shoul really have own section for requests and bountys though)
+1 gor all, i've already opened 2 threads for something similar, xith no luck.

Any developer keen to port this to Froyo or Eclair custom rom?
Mr.Admin, let me know if I post at the wrong section. Pls help to move it
(Q&A or General?)
Samantha
That is awesome! D:
This is relevant to my interests, sub'd!
yeah, this is really cool
i think its not hard to make something like this for the Galaxy !
It's rly awsome
Good, but if gingerbread is not out how we can port it?
To write it from nothing there a lot of work to do.. Too much.
U and all of us have only to wait.
Moved to Q&A as not development
Doesn't froyo come with option to play sound when shutting down/powering up screen? Could this sound maybe be modified to play animation instead of sound? This is just a suggestion to devs around. I don't have the skill set to pull this off. I reccon there could be something usefull inside the froyo source code around the powering up sound part.

Does anyone know where I can get the buddies now widget for captivate? I lost it when I flashed cognition's rom and would like to have it back on my phone. Thanks in advance for all of the help!
Look for the JI6 2.2 system dump somewhere in these forums. It has it in there. I'd point you to it but being on my phone that's a little hard

The Buddies now widget is part of the TW Launcher. You won't be able to use the widget without using the launcher. The last few Cog Roms have not had the TW Launcher included. However Launcher Pro+ has a widget called friends that is essentially the same thing.
I too have been wondering if anyone has had the inclination, knowledge, or time to separate the widget from TW.
I like the BN widget better than the Friends widget in LPro. I like the one-touch call/message feature, the facebook/twitter updates, and especially the overall ui. I've looked in Market, AppBrain, throughout XDA and Googled it. Nothing that has that roladex-like action to it that isn't really buggy. (Tried Ultimate Faves Pro...didn't work so well).
Anyone working on something...?

Theres not much that the devs can do without the source code. You can go to the Samsung Open Source site and see the 2.1 source is posted but there won't be anything for 2.2 until it gets officially released.
Even when you put TouchWiz30LAuncher.apk on the phone, the widget chooser still is not present. I've tried transferring over the widget .apks and placing them in system/apps with no luck. If anyone knows which file is the widget chooser, it would certainly help the cause. For reference, I've been extracting files from the the JH7_OTA.zip file that's on here somewhere.
Hi!
I'm very new to the Galaxy S (i9000) forum, I had a T-mobile Pulse before so i'm not new to android. And here is my question, is it somehow possible to install Buddies now widget on Darky's V8.1 rom. I searched the i9000 forum for it but the only topic I found for buddies now is this one. I hope i asked at the right place.
Hello from Croatia!
Hi! Is there any working way to change the LG's lockscreen to default android lockscreen? I've seen alot of "solutions", but all involves using a 3'rd party app.. I just want to use the one google intended me to use
Just flash Paul Patch "aosp style lockscreen". You'll find it a few post down
Please dont create useless threads like this one. When you read the forum you will find the thread Pierrot94200 is talking about.
Read, read again and again. When you are sure it is nowhere to be found, post a thread or a reply. You dont want to be hated, do you?
I don't want to be hated no But.... that method was for phones with HTC Sense.. I've got an LG O2X. And i've been looking through the system/app and can't find any APK that looks like the lockscreen

That method we were referring to (this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1033776) is not for HTC Sense phones, its for LG O2X .
How the hell do I install this? Why do all these threads keep the installation process a secret? even just a short description on the installation method so I could search how to do it properly would be nice.
Anyone think it'll be popular from this phone, or any of the new galaxy s ii phones? I effin love the look of the weather/clock widget and would kill to actually have it work on my nexus!
Just realized I was still in the development section not the themes and apps section. Could a mod maybe move it for me? Or let me know that it's deleted and I can recreate the post in the proper section. Sorry!
What functionality do you want from it? I just use beautiful widgets and it looks great.
Its not so much a specific functionality that I'm looking for, I just think the actual widget is very clean and would love to have it. I've used beautiful widgets, fancy widgets and many others, I just love the specific look for that widget.
+1
Trying to get the weather/clock Widgets working from some threads in the gs forums but no luck yet

Hey Guys,
I have a HTC Desire with an ICS Beta Build on.
I've been playing around with the framework-res.apk and have enabled the "Soft Keys". Althought they are not needed, I want the true ICS features!
However, the soft keys overlap the keyboard which would make the keyboard unusable. See first screen shot!
I have gone through the forum, and have changed the soft keys so they are smaller, but I now think they are a little to small, and would prefer if the keyboard could be moved up, or the "start of the screen" would be better (I have an app that cannot see the bottom of the screen, as i've added the soft keys (have to use my tackpad to move down to bottom option)).
I cannot see anything in the framework-res to move the screen up a bit which is what I would prefer... (that has worked)
I have also decompiled LatinIME.apk, and can see stuff in there in the "Fractions.xml", but what happens if you want to use another keyboard, will all keyboards need to be updated to ICS for them to work properly?
attached is my framework-res.apk, and if any Guru's can help, it would be much apprciated.
Thanks, Matt
PS. I have posted this in the Q+A forum, but no one has come back to me. I'm hoping themers might have a better idea about this (as they play around with framework a lot more!) Sorry if this is incorrect, please delete the thread if it is not acceptable.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1364757 How about this?
I used this to disable them in a rom. Just had to work backwards, really.
So, I'm sure there's a step or 2 in there to help you out.

Thanks for your reply. I have already seen that thread, and as step 5 mentions changing the dip. They have changed it to 37dip, i have had to change mine to 24dip (very small, see the screenshot). I would have liked to make it a big bigger, but at the moment cant see a way to...
Thanks anyway...
