[Boot Animation] Android eating Apples, with preview - Android Themes

Another one I posted in the Vibrant forum a while back, but wanted to point out to all of you. It is 480x800 (despite the difference in preview sizes), and it flashes and works fine on GalS phones as well as some others we've tried. Please post problems if you have any. I hope to have some other sizes of this and the other one I posted a while back, as well as a shutdown animation soon.

Thanks, Nice work. I will give it a try.

haha very nice my friend

Having problems getting this boot animation to work.
My Vibrant is rooted, using Root Explorer, removed T-Mobile boot/shutdown animations and sounds.
I renamed the zip to Bootanimation.zip and moved it to my /system/media folder. Am i supposed to unzip before or no? When I start up my phone it goes to the Galaxy S animation then loads into home screen.

nice work. I will give this a try.

This question got answered in the Vibrant thread, but I thought I'd answer it here as well. There is no need to rename the file and push it to the phone. Instead, just flash through cwm and it should be OK.

flashed it and my boot animation is just a blank black screen, then i pushed and still black screen
Nexus s

Awesome boot animation love it.

Help making custom bootscreen (Modest Mouse)

I am trying to make a bootscreen for my hero running Cyanogenmod 6.0.0 RC0. I used the boot animation preview tool located Here to see what it would look like and it seemed to work fine. When I push the zip to my /system/media/ folder and reboot i just get a blank black screen when the animation should be playing. I did the images in photoshop cs5 and saved them 'for web and devices' without transparency, and 8-bit. Is there any other setting that I will need to make this work?
here is the gif created by the boot animation preview program (this is not pushed to phone just for preview purposes)

I figured it out. The problem was in the zip compression. I had originally packaged it with the default 7zip compression, then today when I was repacking it I used winrar to create a zip file and set the compression rate to 'store' instead of normal and when I pushed to my phone it worked.

Nice work.
I have had a lot of success as well.
The only problem I am having is getting audio to play during boot without using the .gif .xml combination, any suggestions?

Boot Screen Animation And Splash Screen [WVGA]
I made this just because i like the Nexus One's boot screen and wanted something similar greeting me everytime I restart my phone.

I'd love to post the actual links with a picture, but seeing how I'm a newbie I don't have that right yet. when i gain the ability to I'll post links and pictures. I need to be approved by a moderator.
Android System Sounds Download in attachment. (EDIT: I didn't do my research before posting, but the sounds have already been posted. Oops. But I'm leaving them up just in case someone stumbles upon this before the other post)
This includes notifications, ring tones, UI sounds, and alarms. I extracted this and converted it from the .OGG format for use with WM.
Hope you like.
P.S. This is my first tribute to xda so yeah, I'm a newbie.
thanks, however the sounds have been posted on the forum before :/ you could attach the images to your post (same way you attached the sounds) for the start up/down and it will automatically give a little 'preview' thumbnail users can enlarge by clicking on it
lol yeah, i figured the sounds have. didn't check though. my fault. and yeah, still getting used to all the fourm stuff so things i post my seem a tad off.
also, about the pictures, i cant upload them as an attachment because it gets resized too small for WVGA screens and for some reason it doesn't like animated GIFs.
Please give pictures to [ IMG ]
After that it will looks like:

Try it if you like it.
I created it for my HTC Touch Diamond and it looks quite nice,
Even though it's not even a Google phone, lol.
The resolution is 480x640. Hope it works on your phone
You can download it HERE

nope. you should be able to push it to /data/local/ but your droid x resolution is too great for this animation. you should upscale it to fit your HDPI screen.

Actually it should work, because in this animation only width is important. And it is 480 pixels, the same as Droid X.
So feel free to try it!
And by the way, android boot animation should resize itself if the screen resolution is too big or too small. For example i have used animation that is 261x348 and it fully fitted on myscreen (480x680) even the quality was good.
So this animation should work on any kind of device with android 2.1 or higher
any chance of making the google letters just white? i want this one so bad for my og evo...
reupload the boot animation please
Hi,
Can you kindly re-upload the boot animation, of can you send me the boot animation via email...I tried your link but the animation is not longer available for download..Thanks in advance.

[BOOTANIMATION][WIP] Portal Droid

Seen there are few portal boot animations but they seemed to be just shots from the game videos. I decided to give my own take on Portal Droid. First Boot Animation and I intend to touch it up and give it a bit of polish but for the moment I like it.
I made it for my Nexus S so its 480x800 but you can just modify the desc.txt file inside the .zip to your screen size however I don't know how it will work out and as usual apply at your own risk! But seriously if it isn't going to work it just won't run and your phone will boot with no animation.
It loops when the droid is in the infinite fall.

Now, that's a good animation! Nice job!
