Based on pongster (HyperdroidGBX) i made a "Windows Phone 7" like Radio FM that works on gingerbread 2.3.3 with 167 dpi.
Install that as a normal app. Not as system.
*of course that you need to use it on a rom compatible with FM Radio.

Thats weird.
I have tested only on Hyperdroid 9,10,11 (withou CM7) and its working perfect.

(you need to uninstall/delete first yr old FM.apk /system/app)

Wich rom are u using? I dont have this issue on HyperdroidGBX.
Felipe I am using HyperDroidGBX v11. Also I made a clean install with wiping cache and data.
Are u using this FM.apk as a system app?
Try to remove the FM.apk from the Hyperdoid.zip, install the rom and navigate to the new Fm.apk and install that as a normal app.

RDS - its a dream But I want at least working autoscan option (I tried three or four versions of FM.apk and can't find this), I want to write station names instead digits, and I can't understand why FM application turn on bluetooth when start on my HD2

I tested incoming and outgoing calls and also 3g data connection. They all work for me. APN settings correct?

okay, i will try again in a little while, is it long time until the swedish language is available? and the app superuser permission isnt there?
Edit, will flash in this rom again when it is a little bit more stable, cant get get any network connection at all, too bad, i really liked the clean eclair, with flan lockscreen and everything,

Found a few bugs worth noting. The screen auto-brightness doesn't work and it seems that the sdcard won't get mounted when I connect the phone through usb.

So far the only issues found besides the all mentioned auto brightness problem is that i'll get a FC on the stock music app. Also the powercontrol widget is a bit euh wrong. The green stripe indicating auto-brightness is on is not on the right spot. could be related to the earlier mentioned problem.
Furthermore I was expecting a white version of the powercontrol. At least that is what i see when viewing all those those other devices running AOSP. But I could be wrong ofcourse

I just checked the sources: The widget is the original one as can be found in the vanilla sources of the AOSP. I did not replace anything at all. Maybe, once all the other issues are sorted out, I will try to patch and recompile it.

Was explained 10 and more times... extract radio.img from OTA, make update-script, zip, sign (or not), flash via recovery.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth have nothing to do with radio firmware. They are on a separate chip...

I flashed this radio about 2h ago and everything seems good so far, no change at home from 7.08 radio, let's see what happens tomorrow at work (there I have bad signal reception)
I flashed this Radio only. I don't know how it is possible but Gesture Search no longer activates with Double Flip Motion. I can't think of anything I've done otherwise that may cause this interference. Also ran a callibiration and reinstalled Gesture Search.
Anyone else having trouble with Double Flip? Please let me know. Weird.

I didn't notice any improvement in signal reception, however WIFI seems to work better, I need to test it more

As usual it appears that this thread has been derailed by people having no idea what they are talking about, this is a RADIO update and ONLY affects the RADIO.
It does not affect: APN configuration, WiFi, Bluetooth, The colour of the sky
Please, please stop with the anecdotal responses and things like 'this works better' or 'this works worse' without actual benchmarks and proof (such as a 'control' phone) your postings are useless and just take up space.
Actually I don't know about Legend, but in others phones radio affects to almost every wireless stuff (like WIFI or GPS) because of the integration just in one chip.
On Legend Qualcomm MSM7227 (SOC) drives phone's radio and TI WL1273 drives Wi-Fi, BT and FM radio.

Ah that's all right, i'll just backup the libs myself then push them through again if i dont like the sound. But when I tried flashing it gave me a build.prop error...

Tip:
1.) it may run down the batter the first day. this is due to ics indexing your files on your sd card. i even made it lag out with 9 gigs of music
2.) Dont run smart actions or disable data or anything for the first day running it. it needs to index.
3.) for good sound go into settings /sound /wired stereo devices / disable effects it stacks so it will sound bad with both enabled.
4.) if battery life is still bad delete all the pictures off your phone and any thing else(format sdcards). and turn off 4g global. if your phone has been running for a while use smart actions then.

That patch is a hack for the original gingerbread firmware. ICS-based stock ROMs have some level of GSM support out of the box, at least this is true for 213 and 215. Olegfusion's debloated 215 ROM also includes additional GSM enhancements such as build.prop tweaks and addition of all the necessary APNs for data.
I was just asking if anyone had tried this particular ROM on GSM yet, and if so what steps they took to make it work.

As i said in your post i flashed this rom because i bricked with olegfusion rom, and it works really fine, new gsm patch and gsm working and active at start.

when did you download the file? the original had that problem. i updated it but forgot to delete beats.apk the new version is fixed.
I'm downloading right now, can i flash it over or do i have to wipe ?

just flash it on top and if using the gsm patch re apply it. then delete beats.apk or do the reset

MT788 is the RAZR I China mobile version, it has the same hardware to RAZR i.(except 3G )
But mt788's ROM is different form RAZR I's.It have a lot of new features.
It has a app named "DLNA server", a smoother launcher with 3D effect ,a FM radio, a notification bar with toggles,three new widgets call"social networks",and"activity map" ,"RSS" which is useful i think.And there are "Recoder,sticy note ,firewall,task,task manager ,rss app" etc..(there is 3rd party apps can replace some of these,but I it is not battery friendly and stable as these built-in apps.)
So how can i port these features to Razr i? I try to copy the to system\app but it doesn't work(only the app "task" can run correctly).And will i brick my phone by only flashing the system Partition of mt788?

I unpack the system.img of the MT788 4.1 ROM, and copy some of the files to My RAZR I, Some Of them don't work.
And when I replace the systemui.apk and framework-res.apk,the phone go to a boot loop.
activity map and blur toggles (activity map seems can't work properly, it can't add app automaticly)

Where did you get the Fastboot Files from? I'would like to have an look @ it, when i'm back home.
I loved to run the chinese jb on my XT910, it has really some great features that are missing on the EU Version.

Mt788 is still in android 4.0.4. And as i konw, the Rom is not developed by Moto itself but a chinese team.So it is separate form US,EU version.
Downloadspeed > 10kb/s - 25kb/s

moto still have software teams in china...so those ROMs are moto's work, too..
I think that after restructuring of company, they will move all R&D and software workforce to america

mt788 is upgrade to 4.1 now, when i get the fastboot files , i'll try it

Yes,Call Recording is built-in in MT788.

The toggles options can work. someone need to know much about the framework-res and smali files.
But the FM-radio cannot work. In the latest JB release they havent included the drivers and connections in the build. Even if we can manage to build an AOSP rom, there is a huge change that we cant make the fm radio working. Intel/motorola havent released the source code for the fm-radio.
The ICS have a working driver, but i doubt it will work on JB

FM Radio is working fine in mt788
hmm, maybe it would work, was only looking at our eu rom...
but then it will take time to look into it. Some files need to be modified or replaced. The whole ALSA-sound files needs to be replaced, maybe also a part of the modem. It will be difficult, but can be done i think if someone wants to study it

Can you provide the password of this archive?
Or better, simply copy the contents of your /system folder, there's no private data in it.
If this above is a Motorola official, it would be hard to extract the files.
I am also interested in that system dump in order to get the FM radio going on JellyBean :laugh:, but pw is required... :angel:
