-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS-
- Make sure you are either on any KitKat ROM (CM11, etc) or on 4.2.2 TW based ROM and NOT on 4.1.2 TW based ROM
- Download the latest build
- Download Gapps
- Take a nandroid backup
- Recommended - Full wipe and factory reset
- Flash ROM using latest ClockworkMod recovery
- Flash Gapps
- Reboot.
- Enjoy!​​
-UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS-
- Download the latest build of Resurrection Remix ROM
- Take a nandroid backup
- Flash ROM using ClockworkMod recovery
- Flash Gapps
- Wipe cache
- Wipe dalvik cache
- Reboot
- Enjoy!​​
-OTA UPDATES-
- You will get a notification on your phone when a new version of RR ROM is available. You can download the ROM on your phone through the OTA updater.
- For now, I have made the link to open in a browser as direct links for the ROM zip on file host might not work at times. I might change this to direct downloading of zips in the future.
- Full ROM will be downloaded, not a delta zip.
- I haven't tested flashing the ROM using the automated scripts in the OTA updater. Use them at your own risk. I advice you to open recovery manually and flash the ROM manually. If you do decide to test the OTA updater scripts and it works, share with the community.​
IMPORTANT: If you come from another ROM, have some issues or want a really clean installation then follow the 'Extended steps to install the ROM' featured on the General FAQ​

Finally birader... a question for you. I bought a 64 GB micro sd card. Works well on stock rooms but there were issues with aokp versions or cm 10 versions since it is formatted as exfat instead of fat32. Is it fine now? If yes I will flash your room immediately. DUDE are you FOR REAL! ?I had to re-open my browser I thought I had clicked my Galaxy S II Resurrection Remix favorite tab by accident! I'M SO FRIGGIN HAPPY RIGHT NOW lol. *Dances* I just got my Galaxy S3 international last week and been trying different roms. Nothing felt natural or came close to WESTCRIP! Yes. I did dirty flash from 5.8.1 to unofficial 5.8.2, but I wiped Dalvik and Cache before installing the new ROM.
There is little difference between an unofficial ROM and official one as long as the sources are the same.

Sound issues?

yes

Just reporting, rom runs buttery smooth. With the unofficial version I found my max screen brightness to be less than with other roms and I also had to try several times when using the fingerprint reader. I no longer have those issues since switching to official.
Substratum works perfect as well. The only issue as we already know is with the sound distortion which hopefully will be resolved soon enough. I was really considering switching to the oneplus 3T, I'm so glad I waited as development has really taken off for this device now!

Does screen casting works ? I doubt it since it's not working on the latest Lineage or unofficial RR but you never know ...

I just checked to see if casting the screen works with my chromecast. It did, however, when the screen locks I cannot get it to come out of unlock status. Screen stays black with no function from power key, fingerprint sensor, or double tap. Holding the power button brings up restart menu, and putting the phone into airplane mode or restarting the phone is the only way to get out of the lock screen.
It does work perfectly fine when using apps that support chromecast.

Will the updates be pushed to our phones or do we have to come here every week?
