Request: Flash 10.1 for Milestone

Anyone can help me to install Flash 10.1 for Milestone?

Unfortunately, only Motorola can do this by either releasing a 2.2 update or unlocking the bootloader.
You aren't alone, a lot of people are in the same boat.
At least we have root/overclock etc!

Im OT but ..
actually it shoudl be at least we have
pseudo root ( witch basically ONLY allows us to theme and mod sytsem files) and Overclock , there is no ETC unfortunately ..
but yea cant wait to have Flash running . maybe someoen will succeed at porting a pseudo rom of froyo .. who knows ?

How about flash_for_21.apk?
I heard that someone hacked it for HTC EVO but it may not work with MS.
Anyone tried with it?

Didn't work for me, error during install. I think it only works on 2.1 running sense (but don't quote me on that).

We have full root. We dont have an unlocked bootloader.
Apples and Oranges.
The etc referred to the things you can do with root, overclock, apps to sd, kill processes.......

This only works for devices with Flash Lite 3.1 already installed. It replaces Flash Lite with Flash 10.1.

Htere is n o pseudo, root is root, means root privilages. Means we can do whatever we want with system folder. What we can't do is boot another kernel, so only custom roms on same kernel allowed, means no froyo for example. But someone could maky Cryogen ROM but using this kernel, that would mean quite some work.

Actually, No.
We can boot a kernel, Sort of, Inside the current kernel (Kexec)
We can't write anything past the bootloader. Nothing. We have to do everything during runtime.

i have downloaded 10.1 and it does not work with milestone ....only works with htc devices on 2.1 ...reason the are set up to run flash lite so when u add 10.1 it works the browser is the diff it is set up to work flash with 2.1 us milestone ppl must wait for froyo or someone to make a working 10.1 hack

flash lite, doesnt work on the milestone, its linked in by code with the HTC browser and well i manged to get the APk for flash lite or (hero flash) but it doenst actually work.
unless anyones knowlegable on how to edit the browser i cant see it being available.
but saying that it cannot be that easy, ive had dolphin HD, which states that it is very very flash friendly, and neither apk will allow the flash to work.

That's not true. It's just a placebo effect. Flash 10.1 doesn't replace anything.

Seriously? This is turning into the 'ask the same questiln without reading answers' thread.
Milestone can'T have Flash 10 because of the locked bootloader.
The download people have that works on 2.1 with Sense UI, which isn't native on milestone. Use lite.

Yep. I've easily installed Flash 10.1, but as already mentioned it doesn't help. The problem is that the browser itself doesn't support Flash plugin.

[REQ][Q]Droid X Gingerbread Keyboard

Hey, I was wondering if someone can turn the Droid X Keyboard from the leaked Droid X Gingerbread ROM into an installable APK that works with Gingerbread. I already tried multiple ways to install the APK's designed for 2.2 and 2.1 but none work on Gingerbread, so I decided to find the leak and take out the APK from that.
EDIT: The post at the bottom of the link below has a download that contains both the ODEX and the APK for the Native DroidX 2 keyboard

Yeah, It needs to be Deodexed is my guess :/ I have no idea how to do that myself, I have both the ODEX and the APK though

Well, I am currently on CyanogenMod 7 which currently is on Gingerbread 2.3.4
EDIT: But I also switch to the 2.3.3 Gingerbread builds like Serendipity

I may be switching to Symply GS II RC1 which has 2.3.4 but if you can't make it work for both 2.3.3 and 2.3.4, then that is fine too

Here is the deodexed version from my Droid X running Gingerbread 2.3.3, Blur version 4.5.596.
I can't get it to work on CM7. Maybe you guys will have better luck with Samsung ROM's.

Thanks I'll give it a shot

Didn't work sadly, I tried installing it and placing it in the APP Folder of the ROM, installing is will result in it saying the apk didn't install and placing it in the APP folder doesn't work

Exactly what I got. I'm not sure what's going on. I'll look at some logcats and see what I can find...
I really like the keyboard though. It's great on the DX. There's more button space on it, compared to the stock Gingerbread KB.

Yeah, it's my favorite keyboard still. Great look and easy to use

It seems it needs Motorola's input libs to function, so I'll put together a CWM zip and see what I can do...

ive tried these about a month ago....didn't seem to want to work....

quick question since you seem to be the most helpful which rom would you consider the best? i am using the m1ndh4x8r 2.1 rom at the minute and i just want a change?

3.5 sense is popular and 2.1 gives more customized looks

yes.not sure about 2.2, but sure with 2.3.i themed and theme for DDKQ6 for galaxy fit one month ago.

ya its great to have ics like theme for stock....i put many Q. here for stock bt everyone said that no theme for stock...but i a time ago saw theme for stock in ace as well as in galaxy y forum :-( ....

hello guys.i m trying to flash a new rom on my p500..so i was searching for the best rom (from the views of battery,performance and ram management)..i saw a lot of options and to be honest i got comfused..does anyone of you tried a rom which worked without problems?i mean in camera,speaker or anywhere else!
i mostly look for cyanogen..which i saw has already ice cream version for my mobile...thanks for your time!any answer is welcomed!
preferably if it could let me decide which apps will be on startup and which not,and if it could support adobe flash,it could be great,but these are minor problems...

I'm using gingersnap v1.3 is the best for me for now........

to be honest i had cm7 nightly which it has a ram management problem and sometimes it was responding really slowly...

install oxygen and the ics theme from my signature if you get bored by stock aspect.end of story.

where do i see the bugs of that rom?i ve searched but it wasnt easy to find them..or a screenshot and perhaps the specs(this phone is really slow,so it needs a light and useful rom...)

If I got 1 dollar every time I posted this, I would be rich lol.
If you want to find the best rom for your device, flash the ones available and chose the one that suits you the best
