Hi,
Few days ago I bought a Chinesse battery for my Defy, and yesterday arrived to my home.
When i put it on my Defy and I plug the phone to AC to charge it, Android brings me a message saying that the Battery are not an original one so I can't charge it.
In the other hand, if I unplug the AC cable, the battery works, but it doesn't bring me the charge percentage.
Could anyone help me, please ?
Thanks !
PD: Sorry for my english, i'm spaniard.
Hello,
Try to charge the battery with the phone in off mode (Power Off - closed by button).
PS: I'm not a english speaker, i hope you understand what i try to tell you .
Hey,
Thanks for your reply. If i power off my phone by power button and then I plug the USB Charger inmediatly appears a cell icon with an interrogant in the middle, so I supose that it doesn't charge.
Thanks.
Where did yoiu buy the battery form? do you have a photo of the battery, or a link to the website in case anybody else buys one.

Hey guys.I just got my Xperia X1 and I noticed that even if I charged my phone to 100% after I unplug the cable (I use my USB cable to charge it) that battery meter goes to 95% the second I unplug it.If I send a text or two it will go lower.By the end of the day it will be around 50-60% left.I tried looking for a fix about that but nothing came up.
Is that a common problem for the X1?BTW the phone is brand new and the battery is the original one that came with the phone.
Thank you in advance
First I think you must charge your (new?) battery at least ten times to get full capacity. Secondly I think I remember there's a way to calibrate the battery. Look in settings or even better the manual or perhaps best, search the forums.
GL,A.D
Thank you for your answer.I checked the forum but not much came up about recalibration.I checked the phones settings and I can't find anything about batery calibration
are you on a stock rom or a custom one?
also if you leave your xperia plugged in once it reaches 100% i believe it simply stops charging, so the moment you unplug it you "real" battery percentage!
No I am using a custom ROM.I always unpluged the phone when it says full next to the battery metter.
thats why I don't like charging via USB - it's unreliable and slow, always was
if someone knows how to solve that with a recalibration pls tell
I think its a problem of usb charging. I get this problem when I charge my phone with usb. I havent had this problem on charger. Maybe you usb is a bit lower voltage, so the battery isnt fully charged, but its not charging anymore so the percentage is set to 100% and rapidly decreases after short usage.
I think if you use a charger and do charge your batter a few times full with charger, the memory effect should go away.
Just correcting lpgsk, it's not the voltage, but the electric current of the USB. If I'm not wrong the charger has a 500mA current.
charger output 700mA @ 5v
My suggestion is, if you have to charge it on USB, you should charge it when its off. The charging current should he higher since part of the energy wont be used to keep mobile standby. Therefor it should be able to get more power to battery.
2nd option, buy USB mini Y-cable. It is 1 miniUSB -> 2 USB cable. So you put the other end to 2 USB slots for more power.
like this:http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-A-Male-to-Mini-5-Pin-Y-Cable-for-external-hard-Disk_W0QQitemZ330414581897QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Computing_USB_Cables?hash=item4cee3e6889
this could help, but no waranty it would

It must have been my memory who failed me this time. I can't find any way to calibrate battery either. Sorry for that!
Saw that you're running on a custom rom so I guess the phone is not brand new. Question raised is, how old is the battery?
Searched Ebay for whatever to my x2 and found the batteries (same in X1/X2) damn cheap (fakes or not). Why not buy a new battery and test?

Hey there. The phone was brand new when I got it.It came with the standard WM 6.5 I just installed a new ROM.I tried charging via the wall charger and it seems that the battery lasts WAY longer then charging throw the USB cable.
Thanks a lot guys
PS:One thing (has nothing to do with the battery but I don't want a new thread for that). All my received text messages are with a different time then my phone.I would say around 3-5 hours difference.I searched online and I found more people with this problem but I cannot find a fix for it.Any suggestions?
Thanks again to all of you that answered
Anyone??!!
hi guys,
when i power on my kaiser (with the stock rom) and the phone gets to the welcome screen i can hear a dead battery sound and the phone powers itself off. tried hard reset, flashing a new rom, changing radio, buying a new battery, charging battery using charger wires..nothing seems to work . If i flash a new rom like wm 6.5 the phone shows me radio version, protocol version and rom version ( R G D ), the light dim's and the phone shuts down.
when i connect the charger a yellow led turns on..i left the phone charging for one whole day but the light is still yellow
any solutions? thanx in advance
go look for the exe file called powerdetect.exe this is a small program listed in the TytN II service manual that is used to check the battrey health. I suspect the batt needs to be replaced.
the battery is ok. i've tried with several batteries and the result is the same
What charger are you using? Motorola v9 charger wont do. I had similar power off issue when starting up a unused unit. Only able to charge with original charger 5v 1000ma. OR try charging it through the PC USB port. If you have a notebook, just leave it in sleep mode for overnight charging
I've got a similar problem but usually when i make or accept calls the phone switches off
My phone is a Kaiser 130 which runs on 5 volts but the battery i got with it (bought it on ebay) is Kais 160 which runs at 3.7 volts???? Also the mains charger i got with phone is a 5v.
I just did a power test using the program below till the battery was dead and then plugged into my laptop to recharge and within 2 mins battery is up to 72%???
can anyone who has a Kaiser 130 from new tell me the original battery voltage and code please
power detect download is here if anyone wants to download

every kaiser has a 3.7 volts battery..are you sure the phone turns off when you make or receive a call? My guess is that only the screen turns off (sleep mode - same as pressing the red button) because your ear can touch the screen and acces random menus etc

are you sure? ..'cause i spent a lot of money on a new original battery later to find out that the problem isn't from my battery..don't want to do the same with the flex cable..i found one around 40 €
which flex cable are you talking about? Do you have a second unit that you can do a part swap to see if it is actually the cable issue?

Hi Giany,
had a battery problem not the same as yours by the sounds of it but solved it by installing the orange shipped rom which comes with radio.
might be worth a try.
good luck

I have the same issue... .-(
The phone just switches off completely with any hint of longer usage (phone call longer than 1 min or so, garmin mobile xt barely makes to searching of satellites). I use original stock ROM.
Unused (no phone calls) it can last for two days. I have tested it with brand new/unused prepaid sim.
I took it to authorized HTC service center, but unfortunately they do not support it any more due to lack of parts.
Anybody else have this issue? Or clue to what might be wrong. I really love this phone…

ok..so i disconnected the flex cable from the mainboard and I connected the speaker and the battery. I powered on the phone, waited for like 30 seconds and i heard the dead battery sound..could it be a short-circuit on the mainboard or this is normal?

Hi,
I have the same problem. Do you know how to fix it?
Tks,
Tonny
Same / Similar Problem
I have the same (or at least quite similar) problem here. Only with me, I think it's the micro USB port that needs changing. There is two visible cracks which maybe stopping the flow of electricity.
When I plug it into a charger, either wall or to my PC, it turns on fine, and can stay on aslong as it's plugged in. (sort of makes it like a desktop then, doesn't it ). The problem is that it doesn't charge.
I am using ahmed fikry's 6.5 Kaiser ROM but do not seem to have had any problem with it so far. I also run Ubuntu and Android through HaRet.
replacing the flex cable worked for me..i found one at about 30€. Hope this helps
Hi there,
yesterday I removed the battery of my mobile to replace it with
a charged one. Since then the phone is "dead". I cannot start it
anymore. No reactions on pluggin in the charger, no charging symbol,
nothing. Also no reactions on 3-button-mode.
Does anybody have any ideas what might have happend?
Thanks for any support,
Grobie
try a long press on the power button. sometimes it will kick in after about 30 seconds to a minute. It did for me once
Did you try putting your old battery back in?
Double check battery contacts/pins on phone to make sure that they haven't been damaged?
Sent from my GT-I9000M using XDA App
Thank you guys!
I do have 3 (original Samsung) batteries and an external charger.
The batteries are all charged and in good shape. I don't think this
is the problem. In addition the phone stays "dead" even when connected
to the AC charger. No charging symbol.
The contacts are all fine, no damages. I checked that out.
Long press of power button (and 3-buttons) also did not work.
Any further suggestions?
Cheers,
Grobie

If the battery is faulty, the phone wont turn on even when the charger is connected. Replace the battery with the one you got when you purchased the phone.

See my previous post.. I do have THREE original Samsung batteries.
Of course I tested the phone with all of them, but the SGS just doesn't
want to kick in.

Sorry to hear that,
Are you 100% positive that the battery charged with the external charger are fully charged? (maybe the charger himself is dead?) A voltmeter should assure that.
If the external charger and batt are ok, try to let your SGS without any batt in during 24hrs and see what you get.
Otherwise be ready to rma it.
GL.
Yes, the batts are 100% okay, I put them into another phone, they work fine.
I'll check out your last suggestion and let you know.
Thanks so far!
Cheers,
Grobie
Remove MicroSD card and SIM then while holding the on button replace the battery.

Do you get any lights?
Is it warm down the bottom where the charger is?
Can you try another outlet/cable or test the charger, cable on another phone?
If there is enough juice try this.
*#*#7378423#*#*
It will bring up a service menu, click service tests and there should be one for battery, it will tell you if its charging or not or if the battery is unhealthy.

thanks for your help, when its connected to charger the light comes but after two second its gone, i have tried different chargers but no use and phone is not warm while continuously connected with charger
To that I'd say it could be:
>USB port, might have crap in it or be faulty
>Battery, the battery on mine got replaced when i got my cracked screen fixed.
Are you able to do a factory reset?

OK I' d say it would be the changing port. Might have to take it to get it inspected and a quote, see if its worth fixing it.

I would check the USB cable first to see whether it is plug in correctly to the USB charge port of the S2. You should hear a click sound when it is plugged in right.
Nextly, check to see the USB cable end goes into the power adapter correctly. Most of the time it becomes loose and not plugged in right. It won't charge if this is the case.
Then, you should check to see the power adapter is working, or is it the one for the S2. Tablet takes more power, are using using the one that comes with it?
Seldom I have seen a tablet cannot be charged, only in my Xperia Z2's battery which died on me after serving me 2 years.
