Hello,
Yesterday I pull my phone out of my pocket and when I tried to unlock it, it didn't unlocked. I assumed it turned off somehow so I tried to turn it on and it didn't turn on. So I pulled out the battery and put it back and then turned it on. After some hours I got an email that says that I changed my facebook password, of course I didn't change it so I pressed the link and changed it back and few minutes after my gmail's pass was changed. Someone hacked into my facebook and gmail!
Today my phone start acting wierd, when I tried to use things with the wifi or 3g net on there were strange bugs like:
1. When I'm trying to use the camera with gps on it stucks every few seconds and give me a black screen and then come back, but with gps off the camers works fine.
2. When I'm playing fruit ninja with internet on, the game pausing itself from time to time.
I'm sure that there are some other bugs that I didn't found yet.
The crazy thing is that when I'm turning off wifi and 3g internet all of those bugs diappear!
I'm using Sernedipity 6.2, I upgraded few days ago but the problems began only yesterday.
Could it be that someone hacked into my phone? What should I do?
Please help me!
Did you download big booty babes on the market?
If you really believe something is wrong, odin back to stock. That will wipe everything. Then change all your passwords. And don't use you're phone for porn again.

LOL!
Yeah, I would say a wipe via would be sufficient. Sorta the equivalent of using a recovery CD on your computer remove viruses.
lol I didn't downloaded any porn apps.. how can someone watch porn on such a small screen..
I will flash back to stock and flash the rom again.. but another question.. how can I check if it's not a malicious app that I installed not from the market and when I install her again it will do it again?
I run an "Antivirus Free" scan, and it said my phone was clean.

Wait, did you click on the link in the email telling you your password has been changed? Because that's a sure-fire way to reveal your password to any hackers! Always change passwords directly on the website (Facebook, Gmail, etc.)

Your best bet is to wipe your phone and flash a fresh rom onto it. What rom are you using?
its regular updated 2.2 nexus build number FRF91 idk anything else? its not rooted
Oh ok so purely stock.
1. Backup all your contacts:
*Open Contacts app
*Press menu softkey, select Import/Export
*Export your contacts to sd card
2. Go to settings -> privacy -> factory data reset [THIS WILL WIPE ALL DATA ON THE PHONE]
Your phone should restart, and you should be good to go.
thanks bro... why u think its glitching liek that because maybe all the apps i got like 20 from market and task killer? or what can it be? by the way i factory restored it once not because of this problem but jsut to clear all apps quickly... so i just did it lets see how it goes from now....
No problem, I'm here to help.
I remember reading recently that task killers from the market actually may do more harm than good. I don't exactly remember why, but that may be your problem...
P.S. I always thought task killers required root...I guess you learn something new every day
hahaha true true.. so these problem u heard about before or first time?
I've never heard of your specific issue but anything is possible
gotcha so right now i download most apps such as aim, calorie counter, magic marker, pandora, yahoo mail, drink recipe, shazam, shopsavvy, WHERE thats about it.. no task killers no battery displayers no nothing.... hopefully this problem wont occur....
Good. Just send me a PM if you run into the issue again
gotcha.. thanks anyone got any ideas why it would occur..... apps? virus?
Were you using a program to customize the icon? Like Folder Organizer?
nope.. but i did have astro zipper program i had lock up 2.0 i had werid thigns just got a habit of downloading i enedup delting lots but problem occured i just did a factory reset so far no problem.....

From what you're explaining, its seems you're experiencing the touchscreen issue. Most if not all of the N1's have this problem. It's a known defect that HTC chooses not to admit too. As of now there's only a temp fix which is to press the power button on & off. Its a problem that randomly occurs. There's nothing that'll specifically trigger the problem, it just happens when it happens. Flashing to a custom rom will not solve your problem becuz its hardware related. If you haven't voided your warranty in any way, your best bet is too warranty exchange/repair your device until its fixed.
ya im going to call warrernty now and see what the deal is!
I was playing around with the pattern lock and eventually got the 'Too many pattern attempts!' message, with it asking for my Google username and password to log in.
No matter what, it doesn't accept my username/password. I am 100% sure I've typed it in correctly.
This bug has been around for over a year with many people reporting 'bricked' phones without even doing anything particularly naughty with their phones.
This is the Google bug that has been posted on it: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=3006#makechanges
As you can see this has been around for over a year. The 'null'-in-password trick doesn't work, nor does the spamming-home-button trick.
My phone is rooted and with the Voodoo Lagfix-only custom kernel. Any suggestions?
Do a hard reset / wipe. That's my suggestion.
Try booting into recovery (Home Button, Vol Up + Power), and resetting your cache and wiping it. Then try logging in with your Google account. If all else fails, try changing your Google password on the PC then logging in on the phone. And then if it still fails, looks like you need to flash the phone again. Next time, don't enter the thing wrong! Stop rushing haha .
I wasn't rushing, I was playing with the lock. It takes about 30 times before it's permanently requiring the username/password. But really...you can't blame me for not expecting this. :/
I'm currently trying to flash a new ROM but I've run into another problem - I can't get it to boot into downloader/recovery. It's not the lack of the 3 button combo - I've managed to reach Recovery and Downloader ONCE each in the past, but never again since.
And now with all my efforts to boot into recovery/downloader, it now cannot boot into normal usability mode (or in my case, locked mode). Instead, the Galaxy S logo loops endlessly.
Sigh.
Have you read the thread for the fix for Galaxy S variants that are lacking the 3 Button Combos? It's in Android Development. Maybe try that? Or, can you still connect the phone and connect with Kies?
I can't turn on the phone anymore, meaning no changing to USB debugging etc. And I'm having problem accessing recovery/download, even though I definitely HAVE done each of them once before and therefore do not have the 3 button problem.
Without turning on my phone, Kies can't detect it
So what happens when you power on?
Now, it shows the first Galaxy S splash screen, then shows the boot logo, then nothing. The boot logo continues to glow endlessly.
Be patient, i waited up to five minutes. If you see the s logo glowing/shining youare ok

Yeah it's continuously shining. Haven't left it for up to five minutes though... And even then it probably won't help since I'm still locked out of the phone, and unable to access download/recovery mode to reflash it.
After waiting for a long time, the logo disappears, screen goes black. Menu and back buttons light up. Nothing else.
Looks like your going to have to reflash your phone again. Download the desired firmware, open up Odin and put your phone into download mode and start the flashing procedure. Be more careful next time.

Good advice considering he said his 3 button combo stopped working =))
All I did when I got that black screen was adb reboot recovery and wiped and phone bootedup fine. But only if you have debuging enable and and sumsung drivers. Hopes this help.

Ok i did the same thing, and spent hours googling.
Tried the key combinations to restore, but never worked.
Heres what worked for me, but, be warned all your contacts will be lost if stored on the phone.
From another phone, call your locked number.
Answer it on the locked phone, then hit the "back" button.
This gives you full access to the phones menus etc.
Hang up on the phone you called from.
Now, go into Applications / Settings / Privacy / Factory Data Reset.
This worked for me whereas all other methods did not.
Once your phone is up and running again, be sure to create your google account on your phone.
That way your protected again. If you didnt previously have the account set up from your phone, like i didnt, then you cannot log in of course.
This works...give it a try. Hope it helps.

dear friend dont worry or panic... i'll tell you a trick , go to the samsung customer care and tell them that your phone gets heated up very often and today it just refuses to boot up normally...
since your device cannot get into recovery mode or download mode the company will never know that you had played with the system files in the device or not... (rooted )..
since the samsung people will also try to get your device in recovery mode.. but when it will not go to the recovery mode you will get a mother board replacement under warranty.....
this heating up of the device is a common problem in the galaxy here in india.. so use this excuse and i know it works 100% ... (just dont tell them that you had rooted and lagfixed your device )
What you describe sounds like a very large security hole if I am reading it correctly.
Are you saying that even if your phone has been locked out from too many lock screen failures, that just answering an incoming phone call gives you full access to the phone? Really?
I just checked on my phone and while I can answer an incoming call while the screen is locked, if I hit the back button or menu button, I just get the lock screen.
I'm missing something here...

Don't worry, just enter your Google account details anyway. Your phone has them saved somewhere in /data, so you don't need any internet in this case .

Hey guys, so today I decided to backup my texts and once I did that I started to delete messages from my phone (as I normally do without any problems). I know it can take literally forever for just one convo to delete especially if you have over TONS of messages, so i waited and waited for the 'deleting messages' box to disappear.
I left my phone doing it's thing whilst ocassiaonlly using the phone at the same time, obviously I didn't do anything in texts, but when I went back on messaging I noticed it was gone, so I tapped on messaging again only to find the 'opening conversation' to appear and its been stuck like that for ages, therefore I cannot access any of my texts yet..
Any advice on what to do? Is it really still opening conversations? (it's been about 15mins probably!) and I have no idea if it deleted one of my convo's fully.. Is it safe to turn the phone off & then back on perhaps? I don't want to risk losing anything...
Hope it all makes sense. Thanks!
EDIT: nevermind sorry, it literally just stopped with the opening conversation message and back up. My convo I tried to delete is still there though, so will try again and not touch anything this time! Sorry, please remove this thread if you wish!

Oh my days, it's now probably been about 2 hours since I started deleting and its STILL doing it - is it supposed to take THIS long?
I had my phone showing messages from another conversation/recipient a few days ago. In this case, all alerts from my train operator about delays were showing as being sent from my wife.
Killing the task and reloading messaging seemed to fix it, but it now has me worried that such problems might one day see me getting corruption errors, although I don't really have any texts I couldn't afford to lose.
Out of curiosity, I tried Google’s Find My Device and it worked very well with one (I think) major fault. As soon as I tried it, a notification appeared on my phone, Device located, Find My Device located this device.
Now to me, it seems silly for the phone to advertise the fact that it has been found to any thieves.
So far I haven’t found a way to turn it off.
Anyone know a way around it please?
Best regards,
Do not worry to much as I do think - it will need root to disable this , but maybe Im wrong ?
In my logic thieves know about phone tracking as it is nothing new it was with the android for years . Iphone etc
When thieves stole the phone I think they will turn off the phone + second the phone will go to flasher to clean from google accounts etc to make as reset phone
and from then Phone can go to overseas market so if it is stolen and you have reported IMEI they can use in other country
Security for me is to keep all my data on phone encrypted so than if phone stolen or reset there will be no my data my contacts pictures messages etc Phone is hardware yes will be sad if stolen , but images messages is my life and to find some information on you tube or naked pictures on net can change life forever

Easily solved by not keeping naked images of yourself on the phone
But in any case, seeing naked images of me won't ruin my life, it will ruin thieves'!
When the device located notification shows long press on it, it will take you to app info, turn off notifications, all of them for the app.
