Pioneer Dual iPod/iPhone Dock Speaker System with Bluetooth - Nook Color General

Sell out woot has this for $115 plus $5 for shipping. March 25 only see link.
http://deals.woot.com/sellout
It has bluetooth. Using cm7 this should work. I bought cyfi portable bluetooth speakers at woot last week. The portable cyfi work great but quality is so so. The cyfi has built-in battery that I charge from usb cable.
This speaker at amazon is $149 originally $350. The 4 reviews are good.
Only problem with woot is that you can not return it. The player is mainly designed to charge and play using ipods and iphones (need to watch out for generations of ipods/phones). It listed as also having mini aux input which the nook color could use.
The other problem with the player is that it is not portable. You could place you nook color with in a couple of inches to get it to play with bluetooth or you could use a cord to play it from further away.
Unitil we will get nook color working with bluetooth audio devices from greater distances there is no real reason to buy this except that flash 10.2 plays smoother with bluetooth but on a slower connection flash 10.2 buffers worse. Again better to wait to see what happens with cm7 and other ROMs.

Anyone try out this Fm Trans / Car Charger

Looks to be just what I'm looking for, Its not going to fit the Titan perfectly but it looks like it would work.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/FM-Transmitter-M...ryZ20336QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
If anyone has one on a Titan please give us a review.
Chris
well i just bought one so i'll review it when i get it.
I'm curious... let me know how this works... Very curious to see if it works good with the Slingbox. If I could run the audio of the TV through my car speakers... I'm buying it soon after!
THANKS!
Well I got the transmitter yesterday and was initially pleased with the size and appearance. My first disappointment was that it will not charge the device while playing music. That was the point of my purchase. I have sent a question to the seller about this. I may have got a faulty transmitter.
Also the sound has static in the lower range. If you play anything with crunch like metallica, it just sounds like distortion... on top of distortion... This can be reduced by turning down the system vol on the titan and jacking up the radio but you have to remember to reduce the vol on the radio after you finish using the transmitter. The cig. adapter and charging cable is small and discreet and works very well to charge the device but when the charging cable is attached to power the transmitter the device receives no power. Also, the design of the transmitter will not allow you to jury rig power with the solid Y adapter. This would not bother me on short drives but my work makes me drive prolonged distances so the phone would be dead by the time I arrived. Also in situations where GPS is needed you would have to disconnect the transmitter and connect the power adapter to keep it functional.
The mic built into the transmitter works on about the same level as the speaker phone mic.
Tested on:
VW/ 8 speaker Monsoon Radio with aftermarket antenna pre-amp. (2x better than stock antenna pre-amp)
just to add to this...never tired to specific one being discussed but i thought i would share the one i am using found here
The Motorola T505 it works great connects to phone using bluetooth and broadcasts any audio from it to an fm frequency. it pairs with my touch every time and so far no disappointment's...it's a little more expensive but i think it's worth it. Come with a card charger 2 and the battery last pretty good.
"The Motorola T505"
Looks good! Do you mind me asking how much $$ it was?
i got it for 99$ on sale at Future Shop it's regular 129.99.
2
do somebody can work it??
Yes it works. I'm still using it but not being able to charge the phone while playing music is its down fall. I'm still looking for the ultimate solution.
Chris
Buy one of these socket splitters and use the dual adapter that you should have received with your phone. That should solve your problem. Note: buy extra fuses for the socket splitter. They tend to pop every now and then.

Just wanted to pipe in that I'm using the T505 and love it. Have had it for almost 8-9 months (I believe I got it from Futureshop as well for about $89). I liked it so much that recommended it to my dad and he bought one. I think they're now much cheaper.

FM transmitters from ebay?

I'm lookin to get one because my car doesn't have an aux port. Anyone have experience with those cheap ones from ebay? I just ordered one, we'll see how it goes. Oh please don't respond with "it has a transmitter built in" the chances of that happening are slim to none.
have the same problem in one of my cars and I've tried a range of FM transmitters from cheap ones to really expensive ones (kingston & logitech for example) and they all have the same quality...
Really bad... It's good if you are a 10min driver but longer than that the ferquency's will be jammed and etc...
If you have a cassete player on it you can get tapes that go in and have a 3.5mm cable on it so you can plug your phone in to it. But most cars don't have cassete players anymore, depends how old/new your car is
Unfortunately, I have no tape deck or I would have certainly done that. My only other choice is to upgrade my audio system, but that in itself carries a host of other problems.
I have a masda RX8 and have no inputs like yourself.
I got a griffin Itrip from ebay for £7. I think its brilliant and the sounds quality is fine. When you are setting it up find a blank frequency with no bleed over from other stations. For me that is 88.1
I only really drive between 3 or 4 cities so it works fine for me.
Hello, i bought this one from Conrad, works very good, I use frequency 107.5. At first I had some difficulties, then I unplugged the car antena and now it works perfect ...
I bought DNT MUSICFLY SELECT FM-TRANSMITTER from Conrad ...

Galaxy Tab HDMI Dock - $35 Shipped @ Amazon

Hey guys,
Just letting you know, in case you were in the market, that the HDMI dock is $35 shipped from amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-ECR-D...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1297451030&sr=8-1
I picked one up, it works great! 40" of Angry Birds is awesome, lol.
The Samsung keyboard is also on sale from amazon for $65
a keyboard which allows for landscape connection should be available.......
hahahahaha adinis I totally agree with you I was just pointing it out
You will need an A to C hdmi cable too to connect the dock to your screen.
Anyone used this HDMI dock? I bought the regular dock for $20 and refund it right away. It was going to damage my tablet due to poor contact and also the sound jack reduced the volume by over 50% while killing completely the bass.
I hope this new model does not have the same issues.
Edit: I see someone else mentioned the bad design issue.
too bad with Gtab design will make any landscape dock impossible, it would be sweat..
also available on amazon.co.uk for £17.99
I just picked this dock up for $15 from amazon.com (US) love the way it sits on my desk now.. just gotta wait and see if the hdmi out via the dock will get fixed in CM7..
Took both the dock and the keyboard, one for home and the other for work. Now if only the Tab 7 had USB host, I would be done for onr year or more....

N900 - Galaxy Tab 7"
Galaxy Tab Desktop Dock
Just picked up a bargain in PC World (Currys) in Sheffield UK,looking through a bargain bin and came across a dock, asked how much and got told £1.97p so I rushed to the till before they changed their minds... Its cost me more (£3.99) to buy the HDMI cable !!! was told the reason was that they didnt do Galaxy Tabs anymore..
Mmmmmmmmm..... chair spinning as I run to PC World
Lol I picked my HDMI dock from Amazon brand new for $16.... you weren't looking hard enough they still have them around 16 to 20 US....
I just bought this one. 15 bucks ain't bad.
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-HDMI-Multi-Media-Desktop/dp/B004DB7ZZK
Pretty nice. Only gripe I have is that you have to use the usb cable to connect the dock to your compy. I figured it would have came with an extra cable or something, or rather.... I was hoping it would haha
Hey thanks for this!! Really useful!
I have 2 Sprint SPH-100's that I bought used off XDA Marketplace. I can't seem to find any concrete evidence that they would work with HDMI using the supplied Samsung adapter.
Will the SPH-100 work with HDMI out?
One of the tablets is for my son and I thought it would be really slick to get him some emulators and Wiimote setup on this to connect to his TV in his room.
Actually I just found this:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-ECC1TP0BBEGSTA-Galaxy-Tab-Cable/dp/B004DFADZK/ref=pd_sim_e_2
It is Samsung-Composite cable (he has an older tube TV) and I bet it is lacking an HDMI port. Wonder if this would work because this would be perfect... might be worth taking the chance.
[UPDATE]
HDMI Dock $12 Amazon
[UPDATE 2]
After doing some research it appears the P100 supports both HDMI out and Composite. After reading some reviews I decided to purchase these P1000 composite cables per other Tab owners because it is compatible with the P100 and also offers USB charging at the same time. If this successfully works it'll be great!
On the other hand, I see that the Tab has issues with the WiiMotes but shouldn't have any problem with my SixAxis Controller. The PS3 controller will also offer greater amount of gameplay... so it works out in the end.
Composite (Red, White, Yellow) + USB Charging Amazon
Why I don't want this kind of thing is I don't know whether the screen is or isn't being zipped.
I suspect the quality is not actually full HD
Will the Tab 2 7.0 fit in this thing?
this thread is over a year old lol

[Q] Bluetooth Range

Is anyone having problems with bluetooth range?
I have a 30pin bluetooth receiver that plugs into a Ipod dock that I have been using for years, but when I got the Turbo the range was awful and even up close the music will drop out if I cup the phone in my hands. I use it at work from around 20 feet with a clear line to the adapter. I messed with the adapter and the port was loose, so i ordered a new one and still have the same issue. All of my old phones worked great and other peoples phones work just fine. I also have a bluetooth to 3.5 adapter I use in my truck that after some testing also cuts out if you get further then 4 or 5 feet.
So I'm asking for some help before i call verizon and end up with a refurbished phone.

[n00b question/semi-rant thread] USB C to 3.5 jack adapter

Mate 10 pro user here.
I mean, really, how hard is it, to put a 3.5mm jack in a 700€ phone?
Whatever, ontopic, since I already lost my original adapter, has anyone tried one of the cheap Chinese ones, something like THIS for example? Does it work alright? If yes, I'm going to buy 30, because I'm going to lose 28. Is there something I need to be careful about?
Once again, thumbs up for taking away features. :good::good::highfive:
I think it was a Huawei executive who explained that people say they would want a thicker phone if it meant it includes feature X, but when people go and actually purchase a phone, they buy via hand feel where thinness wins.
The issue with USB C adapters is that there isn't really a standard way of getting audio out of the port. Most implementations are proprietary. You really have to buy one to test out before you go and buy 30.
i have one of this from gearbest and is working fine with mate 10 pro
also i have one with charge and audio same time and working fine. i mean audio part, charging is only regular, not fast charge

Where did you get the charge and audio cable from? I'm going to need one for my P20 Pro but a lot I see for sale don't seem to charge and supply audio at the same time (according to the reviews on Amazon at least).
i tried the adapter that comes with the mate 10 pro on my mate 10 non-pro, and it doesn't work! LOL
i bought the razer brand adapter from amazon and it is the BOMB. highly recommend.
I ordered a cheap random one from Amazon which works fine with audio, but charges at maximum 300ma, which is fine if you are using it over night, but obviously not great otherwise
Can you link that?
Anyone has a link to one that has aux and charging at the same time?
The Mate 10 Pro requires an adapter with a DAC (digital to analogue converter) in it. Basically that means the adapter needs a small audio processor and amp to convert the digital stream in to something your headphones can use.
Some of the really cheap adapters don't contain a DAC due to some different implementations of audio via USB C.
The really cheap adapters with a DAC might sound bad if the amp and processor are nasty and weak.
I'm not sure what the right amount is to spend to get a good quality one. I got a fairly cheap adapter which charges at the same time to use in the car so I can charge for sat nav and have audio (car doesn't allow Bluetooth music). The sound quality of this seems to be comparable to the bundled adapter without a charge socket when comparing the two one after the other. It's certainly not noticeably worse.
The adapter I got is advertised as allowing charging of up to 1.5a but I haven't seen more than 900ma. Still just about enough to charge slowly when listening to music, and to stop any drain if using sat nav in the car.
This isn't the seller I used but is the same product so you can see what I've got working for audio and charging:

This is the one I bought
The audio worked surprisingly well, with no hissing (Very quiet with dirt cheap headphones, but quite acceptable with a £10 pair). Only downside was that the charge was 300mA max according to Ampere - but since I was charging it overnight it wasn't an issue.
I'm sure there are better ones out there, but for less than £3 I got more than I expected!
Hi, i bought a second original adaptor from Huawei, it costs 12euros (like 15 dollars), minimal and short with great audio quality. Don't save 10 bucks on this item if you like audio quality
