Which is the t-mobile version? Cdma or gsm?
There are two android development forums. I am not sure which one i should download rom from and whats for the us t-mobile version.
I don't want to brick my tab by going to the incorrect forum for a rom.
Kindly let me know.
Cheers.
Assuming you're only interested in US networks, TMo and AT&T are GSM, and Verizon and Sprint are CDMA. Outside the US, it is almost all GSM.

Dave

I have a Sprint touch pro 2, SIM unlocked by http://www.htc-unlocks.com/, to use on an AT&T USA carrier.
I don't know what kind of ROMs I can flash on it. Do I use a gsm ROM, a CDMA ROM, (I understand there is a difference, correct?)
It was a Sprint phone (CDMA), but I'm now using it on AT&T (gsm).
Could someone please list a few examples of ROMs I can flash on this phone?
thanks
CDMA ROMs, GSM won't work.
CDMA ROMs
Can you give me a link or 2 to some CDMA ROMs, I've looked and looked but can't find any!
thanks much!
go to ppcgeeks.com. that site mainly has cdma roms
Had a general question about the Sprint TP2. If unlocked, will it work on the 3G T-Mobile USA network??? According to PhoneScoop.com, it appears that the Sprint TP2 IS compatible with the WCDMA 2100 mode. Could anyone confirm this?
There's also a CDMA sub-forum for Rhodium here. But as has been said, go to ppcgeeks for CDMA ROMs.
Yes i did search and couldn't come up with nothing so im turning to my peers for help.
I wanted to know is there a way you can check and see if the nexus one is att branded or t-mobile? If you cannot does the att branded nexus one work with t-mobile 3g?
There's 2 GSM models. One that works with att 3g and one that works with T-Mobile 3g.
yes i know thanks for the information i was asking if there is a way to check which one is which?
AT&T has a different model number under the battery. I forget the beginning numbers but the last three numbers for T-Mobile is 100 for AT&T it is 110. Both models will work on either network's GSM networks but only AT&T's phone will get 3G on AT&T's network.
ok thanks would the att nexus one connect to 3g for t-mobile 3g i know t-mobile use different frequencies but on google they look the same
nevermind the att does not support aws please close

Can someone please confirm for me: Does the Samsung Galaxy S i9000 work on a CDMA band with 3G? I see six of one half dozen of another answers for this.
Please and thank you.

The I9000 is a GSM/HSDPA phone. It will NOT work on a CDMA network such as Sprint or Verizon in the US.
I believe your confusion is the difference between WCDMA and CDMA.
WCDMA is HSDPA. It is NOT CDMA, but a 3.5G sort of. It is a newer/different technology than CDMA.
CDMA uses a hardcoded ESN for connecting to the network.
WCDMA uses a SIM card for connecting to a network, making it much more similar to GSM than CDMA.
I hope this helps a bit.
the only 2 known model of actual CDMA bands for the Galaxy S is the Edge 4G version and the other version from China
Yes it answered my question. Thanks so much, both of you

Hello.
I live in a counntry with both GSM and 4G LTE networks. Reading this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/help/virgin-mobile-htc-desire-510-gsm-t2965839 for the efforts of unblocking GSM bands thre is something I don't understand. If I buy the Sprint version of the phone, it is posible for me to use it outside USA with a 4G LTE capable SIM without having to unblock GSM Bands? Or do I need to have CDMA support in my country to be able to use the phone?
Thanks.
You would need a CDMA network; it's not working on GSM networks!
