is there a miui theme? I have found a few miui roms that can have a theme applied, but have not found a theme that would make the stock dhd look a bit like miui.
dont even know if it is possible. I have a new dhd don't want to invalidate the warranty just yet so don't want to start flashing roms can anybody point me in the right direction.
I think I am on about skins rather than themes
If you're on CM7, try looking for a theme called ElegantSteel. I was using that along with GO Launcher and the Classic theme for it on my Wildfire. It's not MIUI, but it's not Sense or Vanilla and not a far cry from MIUI either.
Haven't tried seeing if they work on the DHD yet though but my guess is that it should considering the theme was originally hdpi.
Good thinking batman

Why is no one really theme-ing any 2.0 roms...ive seen the xRom theme but i think thats it
...am i missing something?
There are a couple of them posted on AndroidOverdrive.com
since some of them fill up the /system partition on a G1 to 97% it makes theme-ing them a little difficult.
oh alright...
the ones on androidoverdrive are xactly what i was looking for nice clean themes
thanks! but if anyone knows any others id still be glad to check them out
there is only one theme on that site for 2.0 rom so what ones did u find?..let me know
There are a few, my Ice theme I ported, cloverdale themed it also.
Could you be more specific on where you found 2.0 themes because i never heard of eclair rom or any of that other stuff..its a bit confusing because i dont have a custom rom installed and do not want to risk it as of yet..that ice blue theme didnt work on my moto droid?..

Eclair and Droid are different. The Ice is made for standard screen sizes, it wouldnt work on the Droid being a higher resolution. It changes the drawable-mdpi, not hdpi, so it would only apply a few changes.

Daneshm90 made a sweet computer app (only for Windows ATM) to take the PNGs from one theme or rom and transfer them to another, easily and effectively theming the new rom with little effort. Right now you have to make sure that it is MDPI type stuff, so no higher class phone themes will work just yet. I think he might be finding a way around that. You can still grab themes from lots of phones like the G1, Hero, etc etc and you can use 2.1 themes for Froyo roms and such as well. I made a Buuf themed Cyanogen Tazz rom and a pink themed CELB Froyo rom for a friend that was from a 2.1 rom. So far so good... Did not have success with using Droid roms as they are HDPI. Soon though...soon... lol Feel free to stop in that thread and say thanks or ask questions. He seems quick to answer and be helpful. Since I have done a few (hey, failed ones count, you learn what NOT to do...) I might be of assistance as well. Enjoy!
Hi everyone,
It's been a while since I'm trying to get a good miui theme for my phone, but I can't make sliders like in the original miui roms... They doesn't appear well when I make a theme from the tutorial here.
Does anyone knows how to do that ?
Is there any theme already made with those sliders ? (quite look like the iphone, but hey, that looks good !)
Thanks for your help.
There's a theme called Orion based on MIUI, not sure what sliders it uses, you can find a link in the theme chooser sticky.
Sent from my DHD
Thanks for your answer, I had already seen it but unfortunatly it doesn't...
my quest continues ;-)
Pretty much asking for the new default theme from the current GB based MIUI for our MIUIWiz ROM. As I said, I don't normally make requests nor do I feel I NEED this theme. If anybody is up to porting a theme this one would be nice.

it would be a lot of work to get this done...i made a gb theme for miuiwiz 1.0 (havent updated it) and included some of the gb miui icons and such but didnt want to invest the time in it as most on miuiwiz are happy with the default theme
and now that andmer is poking around with aosp gb miui i dont know how likely it will be that miuiwiz gets carried forward...as is its pretty stable imo
No worries then. I seem to always request themes that are the biggest PITA
If we do get GB MIUI that would be pretty sweet but MIUIWiz is still great to hold me over. Thanks for the input, nitsuj17
Wondering where all the EH09 themes are at? Do the ED05 themes work on EH09? Are the devs porting themes and just not there yet? Just would like to know, thx.
All themers, please keep up the amazing work.
Most of the people that themed before have moved on to different devices. And a bulk of current users are running mtd roms (VGB, CM7, and MIUI) that include theme engines that have a vast array of theme choices available. I myself run pool party and have the one and only theme released for it. I'm surprised myself that someone that may have been teaching themself to theme hasn't poped up with a release for any touch wiz roms. But notta seems to be the only person posting anything for touch wiz.
And to answer your question since themes incleude rom specific frameworks. It would be a very bad idea to inject froyo frameworks into your gingerbread rom (it won't boot).
good day.
What he said ^^^ Please don't try to flash an ED05 theme onto EH09! Some themes should pop up in a few weeks...
Another Fascinating post by my XDA app...
There's a well written theme guide here and in the Mesmerize theme section. Go for it!
