Need help on how to root galaxy 3 - i5801

hey, i just got a galaxy 5801 and wanted to get live wallpapers, i learnt that i need to root to be able to do that. will the galaxy s one click root work with mine.

You should search the forum - and for that matter, post in the right sections. This is Android Themes, does 'Rooting the Galaxy 5801" belong here? No, it doesn't. It belongs in the Galaxy Android Developement thread.

most helpful u ppl are. it's friggin obvious m new to android and this pertains to live wallpaper so it;s not for u to tell me where i post it. if u dont have anything useful to say dont say anything at all.

What does being new to android have anything to posting in the right section? Are you also new to the existence of life as well? You posted a question about how to root in the THEME section. Sounds like you're braindead to me, can't even search either. You should go now and post oh I don't know, a question in another language other than english.. in the english forums! Go go go!

like i said, i have posted it in hacking and development, and few other threads. not even one reply. and the one;s that i get is pretty useless. and speaking of brain dead, i asked for help and not another one of these useless replies which is of no help. so if it's anyone who is brain dead, it's you. i admit my fault, but u don;t have to be so friggin rude about. someone already suggested that i post in the right section. so if u cant help mind your own business.

using z4root or super oneclick
Just download z4root from market and root.

"Hello, i am new here and i have succesfully rooted my galaxy ace. I have seen this awesome rom called DroidACE. but i dont know if its good or not. So Can someone Please Tell me if it's good and if i should try it. because screenshots look ok. but maybe its not very good because not many people i have seen posting in the thread. and masterex567 hasn't got enough thanks from thread. so does that mean rom is bad? please tell me quickly, i think i saw venomgreat posted this already but i want to make sure. because no one post in his thread. please reply quick

Yes! i already make thread like that maybe he saw after. but i have same question and no one is answering aprropriately and smillernl why you be mean to someone he is also noob like me and he also wants to learn. atlaest if u told him and gave him an answer too that would be good.

Btw, Read the upcoming development for the ROM. Here. So it is not like dev is sitting back and playing rummy.
It is smooth as of now. No Bugs on Interface Level.

What I can tell you is if u find any particular rom that catches your fancy on the ace forum , go ahead and check it out - follow the flashing instructions that accompany the rom. All the roms are awesome and developed by supermen in their own right trying to better their previous creations through the constant endeavour to find perfection. Don't go on the any roms thread and comment negatively like is this good. Read and take your own call.
If u using the ace, don't use rom manager application on the phone. To flash, u require clockworkmod recovery...search this forum and download it.
Always read the entire thread of any rom before u flash...

I know. i already see those videos and all, i am just asking simple question and no one want to give reply.. i said i am noob in the first post and i am clear enugh. i just want to know if its a good rom or not. thats why i post this thread i want to know personal opinion from people about the rom not only people who use the rom i want to know what they think of it. simple question but y everyone give complicated reply. I AM NOOB, I KNOW!!!!
but someone please tell me their personal opinion of what they think of rom not only people who are supporters of developer. if you are too shy to tell here. pm me. or just post here like a man.

Just try it, all users are different, all uses of the ace are different.
Some will say great performance, some will say not smooth, some will say good battery, some will just go ahead and troll.
Depending on what you do with your phone, the battery, performance and stability will greatly differ. Keep a nandroid backup in case you don't like it. Installing the rom will take you maybe 1 hr if you restore lots of apps, better than spending a week spamming useless stuff.

This question should have been posted in the General section. Anyway, you apparently haven't even begun to read the sticky posts in this forum because you would have found the answers.
Unlocking your hboot is the first step. Now you can use either the Downgrade tool in the General section or the HTC IncS tool 3.3.0.1 in this section.

Yep, as tpbklake said read the stickies on the general forum, they will give you your answer, the gave me an answer when I didn't know anyway

I guess the fact that he has been a member for so long must have allowed him to post in DEV.

I just wanted to post in here telling this guy how he was f***ed but it seems as though everyone else has taken him down a notch already. Glad to see people are posting about him and not to him. : )

Why not bother and tell him the easiest way he can do his root ?
Why can't we be a little friendly ?

Is today "Defend a moron who posted this thread in the wrong forum months ago" day? Get over it and yourself.

It's even more weird if you check his post history... He hasn't posted in months. Assuming he bought an incredible S that updated to 4.0.4 and it was the first thread he found and was sad that there was no direct answer without having to read.

whats even more weird is I was doing a search for incredible s parts, my girlfriend (not that you two hobbits would know what that is) ruined the micro-usb jack on her already rooted incredible and this thread was dug up by google. look like i struck a nerve amongst the lifeless acne ridden of xda....dont be so sensitive little missies, grow a thicker skin or go home. There's a reason this limit is placed, until you get familiar with the hardware and flashing principles you can't post effective replies. Be vigilant in other areas such as q&a to ask questions, there's no need for development threads unless you have some coding practice to offer.

I had some problems with Ultimate N7000 XXLSA 4.1.2 V5, Polaris Office force close and connecting phone to PC with USB don't work, UI stop working and notification bar disappeared, a few seconds notification bar was back and disappeared again, I was made to force reboot.
But this morning I flash again with [ROM] [JB] [4.1.2] Stock deodexed and rooted XXLSA / NEW Leak!
Now everything seems perfect
Just missing S Voice in this ROM

Hi, your english is much better than my Français, no need to worry.
I'm also not an english native speaker, posting in forums helps a lot for practice. Keep the posts coming, if someone doesn't understand he or she can always ask.

I also dislike the 10 Post limit.
You can be experienced with Android, reading about and flashing a Rom for Ages
and if you want to give some important Feedback to the Dev (about a hidden Bug),
you must first post something other.

I do not believe this: you tried many times and didn't succeed in delivering one working Custom Rom.
Your thread with your XXLSC Rom was and is closed.
And now you're asking for the dump but you had all sources you needed in your first development thread.
If you want to restart making Roms please use the deodexed or odexed stock versions provided in the forum as a base.
I made a big mistake when making the dump of XXLSC and sharing it here. So I removed all links to the downloads of the dump. Because of that mistake I (and the XDA Mods) wouldn't allow sharing this again. So please do not ask for it again.
