BE CAREFUL! most people cannot receive update from zune! the hacking only works via zune nodo update!!!
1。before official update to NODO(through zune),unlock and edit register to prevent it from relock.
2.after update, you will find the unlock still exist。
I'M A CHINESE.I hope my experience can help all WP7 fans. If this thread help you,It's my pleasure.
detail steps:
1. flash a 7004 or 7008 rom,than used chevronWP7.cer and chevronWP7.EXE to unlock your WP7.
2. After UNLOCK! (this is the easy way to edit your registry)
for HTC down zip in #11 of http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1009974 AND rename it to XXXXXX.XAP, use it to prevent relocking.
3.after all, if you are lucky, you can receive the update VIA zune, once i reflashing my phone, I cannot find the update from zune anymore. I am so angry with the carrier and MS. After you update to nodo, you will find your phone is still unlock and enjoy it!
GOOD LUCK FOR EVERY one.

Cannot confirm if it works, because if you do this you will not get NoDo update anymore, so you can have one or another (NoDo or jailbreak) I think.

Hi
I'm using tmobile hd7 and successfully flashed a Telstra nodo rom, however I am missing my custom ringtones notificatons and homebrew apps, has anyone been able to unlock after nodo?
MS made it clear that NoDo will patch the security flaw that was exploited by the chevron team. So for now there is no hack after NoDo. But its all a matter of time before a hack comes from someone. Hopefuuly its sooner than later as i do miss the custom ringtones and registry hacks.
Microsoft should just allow free XAP files to be put on phones...
just put security checks in to safeguard files that are paid for on the market place should be nothing too hard for Microsoft to do...
But Im loving NoDo and my hacks that I done before are still there just cant edit them after now...
Like the **it Yahoo search page on IE and some custom colours
There is a way to have NoDo and still have your phone unlocked. But you have to unlock it at pre-Nodo (7004 or 7008) and then wait for your official update throught Zune. Here is the thread:

how can i sure that my HD7 is unlock???
I have two HD7 both were unlocked with Chevron, I flashed one with the Telstra rom and the unlock with all my apps were gone. But the other one with official nodo from t-mobile kept the apps and the unlock. So I can confirm that you need to unlock before nodo to keep the unlock.

The phone were unlocked before pre-nodo, don't know if that makes a different.

+1, unlocked and nodo, working perfectly.
You must reflash your phone with a old Shopping Rom without nodo, now patch with nodo and use nodo patch from Forum. Now you can make update with zune and you will not lose your patched phone pn ME tomorrow and will give you needed Files when you not found that

For those who are still not aware, guys “We can have our cake and eat it” I mean you can now update to NoDo and still have your HD7 chevron unlocked so that you can continue to side load homebrew apps!
Here's what you need to do before updating to NoDo big thanks to chris5105077 just follow his steps in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12419841&postcount=1
As stated in that post for this hack to work the NoDo update must be initiated via zune but as you all know not all of us are getting the NoDo prompt on zune however thanks to dawnrazr’s discovery posted in Samsung Omnia 7 thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12453408&postcount=1 one can force the NoDo update through, no need to wait!
Thanks to Bonebreaker there is even a detailed step by step guide here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1012189
P.S. Like me if you have already updated to NoDo either via zune or you have flashed one of several leaked NoDo ROM’s from here all you have to do is just revert back to your previous ROM or restore back via zune just like I did here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12485354&postcount=70
It's nice to have the NoDo update and still be able to side load homebrew apps!
Is there a way to unbrand and unlock a HD7 that already has the Nodo update?
Currently my phone is only sim unlocked.
Joey
i would like to know the answer to this too, i have just bought a HD7 which was sim locked to 02UK and already had nodo, i wanna know how to debrand it as ive had it sim unlocked for tmobile
hi guys i have just done the same thing to my hd7 that you want to and its really really easy read through this thread and follow the instruction and your phone will be debranded in no time

This worked for me!
I updated to NoDo without unlocking and was bummed so I did the following:
1. Flash a pre-nodo unbranded rom, you should find one here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=876451
2. Unlock your device, here are instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=938106
3. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW STEPS TO PREVENT DEVICE FROM RE-LOCKING!!! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913748
4. Connect to Zune and update to NoDo. Unlock should stay in place, it worked for me! Good luck!

Thank you for your help. This thread is so helpfull.
Im a newb, I have a lot of questions about doing this, please be nice.
I bought HD7 on amazon and its sim unlocked. I had the nodo update, copy paste update installed on my device, before i could developer unlock it with chevron. Im in a great need for tethering so i want the device to be developer unlocked, so i could use some cracks available in the internet.
My first question is, I want to restore my old rom so if any problem occur i could reflash my device with original HTC rom. Is there any way i could do that?
Secondly, if I flash the htc rom with those listed in the thread (with HTC_europe in specific), will this have an effect on the warranty of the product?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
Thanks for the info guys! I guess i'm going to start going through the tutorial now
Joey
Oh and does anyone know where I can find the unbranded roms now? The thread seems to have been deleted/edited.

These are very useful tips and helped me to successfully unlock NODO update
Somehow my backup from premango got lost... i have no idea and im past that ....
I am running a locked HD7 from Tmobile using 7712 which I update through zune. I want to get back to a stock ROM so when Mango is released over zune I will be able to get it over zune. Where do I go from here?
BTW... on the update tab on zune, all it says is that my phone is up to date and there is no button there that says "restore".
Use RSPL to put your phone into a state where you can flash any ROM:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1195647
Then flash this ROM (seems to be the most recent T-Mobile one - Build 7392):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1183891
I don't know if there are any generic US ROMs that you could use. It would get rid of any T-Mobile branding, but I don't think it would unlock it for you.
Alternately, you could follow one of the many guides that will let you update 7712 to 7720 (RTM). The RTM should receive official updates from HTC once they've release their official Mango firmware.
Currently I am at 7712 and locked. How would I get to 7720 RTM and be unlocked? I saw that in the link you posted if you are currently unlocked you can stay unlocked when going to 7720 but you have to be previously unlocked. So what ROM should I flash to in order to unlock my phone? And then move along to 7720?

Are you talking about a carrier lock or a developer lock? I don't believe flashing any ROM will remove a carrier lock. You usually have to pay to get a code and unlock it that way, though I could easily be wrong. Hopefully someone else can clarify.
When I say locked I mean the opposite of a chevron unlock. So im not able to side load apps
You can flash one of ansar's Custom ROMs that is all unlocked by default.
Or you can go back to 7392/7390 and apply Chevron by yourself. You can follow this thread to keep all unlocked during updates and reach finally 7720.
Or you can stay at 7392 (locked/unlocked) and wait for official Mango.
Regards,
Cina.
If I start with ansar's ROM will I be able to follow that (staying unlocked) to RTM Mango?

easiest way to 'jailbreak' your WP7 device is with a Custom ROM.
check out the tutorial in my signature.
i already tried it but when I get to the step where I have to use task 00 I get an error..
but an another question is whether it is possible to flash original nodo over original Mango and if yes how do I do that?
I had Official Mango too. Used the same signature links last week and everything works. Win7 x64, HTC HD7

Well thank you for your reply!
I am absolutely confused!
I just want to upgrade to your's intrinsic 4.0.1 T-Mobile US edition.
So... following the instructions under your signature, first i am trying to downgrade to a different radio with HD7_RUUWrapper_00 (Ex. 1.20.531.01 or 1.54.531.02 or 3.01.531.02) but the bar on my phone stucks at 0.00% and then i have the error 262. tried different pcs and different radios.
Is it necessary to change the radio before doing that upgrade?
And is it possible to make that update via zune? (i mean to copy your's intrinsic 4.0.1 T-Mobile US edition files at some specific zune's folder and complete then the procedure some-how?
Thank you once again!

if you have Bootloader 1.54, you don't need to downgrade OSPL first with SPL_Signed.nbh
though, you'll need to XSPL before you can flash a Custom ROM or Unsigned Radios.
i do not believe it is possible to do that via Zune.
