[Q]MetaMorph-USB Connected Androids v1.0 - Fascinate Themes and Apps

I found this morph and wanted to apply it. I checked out the XML file and from what i can see it points to the right location. I have tried to run twice now and it does not accept my changes.
If someone can tell me what i am missing that would be great.
Here is the original link with the morph. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=745748&page=2
Again, I take no credit for this work, just found the link and really liked the images.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I got it to work instead by pulling the framework-res.apk and then pushing it back on

That's a cool image, what process did you use to embed it within that file?

I booted into recovery.
From my computer ran: adb pull /system/framework/frame-res.apk
Then used 7zip and placed the images into the res\drawable-hdpi and into the res\drawable-hdpi-v4 (This second folder was why it was not working with metamorph, i suppose if i added it to the xml file in metamorph it could be used.)
once i added the images to metamorph I ran: adb push framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk

Sweet, thanks for the info dude!

Simply replace this .apk with your swype.apk under system/app using root explorer

... I'm confused. Is this any different than the naked swype mm file that he had before? If no, mm files are fairly universal, hence why I mm my swype and am running it on my froyo. Once you mm the swype apk, you reboot you phone (as swype has changed and will not show up as an option), long press a text field, select input method, then swype, then tap said text box and your swype is themed... just like always...

[BOOTANIMATION] Xbox 360 BootAnimation

This took me forever to accomplish
These are the steps i took to produce this result
>Download the youtube video
>Convert to Animated GIF @ 1280x720 (E.M. Total Video Converter)
>Extract every frame out of the GIF with GIFFrame
>Manually rename every frame (Windows 7 numerical order bug 0.jpg 1.jpg 10.jpg...)
>Use IrfanView to batch rename and resize
>Split into 1xplay and loop folders
>Package with WinRAR
So that took about an hour. But i think its worth it lol
~160 frames

Editing Phone.apk - guidance needed

First of all, sorry if this is in the wrong section, i went with this forum because it's more a developer thing.
I'm wanting to get started on playing (you call it modding/developing, i call it "seeing what happens") with a rom to eventually get my own made (im a newb, dont worry devs....
I started looking into "Phone.apk", ive decompiled it and i wish to change the colours of 1: the tabs along the top and 2: the number buttons 1 - #...do i do this via editing an image in /res/drawable-mdpi(etc) or via xml? if the latter, which xml. Also, i've opened one of the .xml's in Notepad++ and all i get is:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
This thread is not development related. Do not post in the wrong section in the future.
And you wonder why people post in Development section......
BUMP!
U need to decompile apk with apk tool,not with Winrar.
