Hi..
Do you know any success lagfix for JVK / 2.3.3? i can't see any voodoo or other for JVK? am i wrong?
i saw this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=975349 but i can't be sure
Yep that can allow you change the file system to ext4. Flash it with odin. Can control the laxfix with the voodoo market app or through recovery.

I was on Vodafone UK JS3 froyo 2.2.1. After using OCLF 2.3.0, I later decided to downgrade to froyo 2.2 JPY using clockworkmod.
I forgot to disable OCLF before restoring my old rom. My phone boots to the Samsung galaxy screen and ends there.
Download mode works. I`ve flashed stock JS3 rom+pit 512 with odin, but nothing.
I flashed voodoo lagfix, hoping it will convert my internal flash to ext4 so I could then disable it and it will convert the whole flash back to default to get my phone booted.
I donot know if OCLF spoiled my phone because it was not disabled, or even what went wrong. Please can someone help?

so first OCLF is ext2 with system binds, so voodoo won't help

Thanks very much. Your solution worked. But I directly flashed 2.2.1 JPY
So i've installed a 2.3.3 rom and now i cant get to CWM recovery..
so if got this right, while on a 2.3 kernel/rom i can't see nor boot into CWM recovery even though it IS installed..
by flashing to a 2.2 kernel Using "SGS Kernel" will i be able to access it again?
or can i downgrade to 2.2 by simply flashing a 2.2 rom from Rom Manager?
Sorry for being a noob..
What 2.3.3 rom have you flashed?

i flashed Darky's Extreme Edition v10.1
If you want to go back to a standard firmware, you could just go to samfirmware.com and flash a firmware using odin with pit file and repartition. You could just flash jvo rather than going back to 2.2.
That would restore recovery mode back to your phone
You will need to disable voodoo lagfix first though. You can do that with voodoo toggle app on market.
Edit: Flashing a kernal like fugu will give you cwm. Just flash jvo from samfirmware first
cant i just flash a 2.2 rom from the Rom Manager app?
edit:just noticed your edit, will any 2.2 kernel work or just the ones with CWM?
For rom manager to work you will need a compatable kernal first. If you cant access cwm I would guess you have the wrong kernal or it didnt flash correctly.
If you have a 2.2.3 rom I would not recommend flashing a kernal for a 2.2 rom.
If you want cwm then you will need a kernal thats includes cwm. I personally recommend fugumod kernal.

Hi,
I have installed XWJVH (2.3.3) and flashed Supercurio's Gingerbread Kernel.
Now I want to flash XXJVP (2.3.4). Do I have to disable/uninstall Supercurio's Kernel, before installing any other ROM?
If yes, how can I do it?
Thanks.

Just make sure you have any lagfix disabled and you're good to go
How to disable lagfix?

Go to recovery mode by following the instructions in post#1 here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765703
Once you have it use the volume buttons to navigate to lagfix and the power button to select. If it's enabled then disable it. You really should have read up on recovery mode and download mode before flashing anything.
Did you even enable lagfix when you flashed the kernel?
For super curios kernel get his ext4 app from market, his recovery doesn't show lagfix options from what I remember

Hi Guys
I am running simply honey 3.5 ROM on my galaxy S I9000 with gingerbread JVO modem and obviously CWM ....this rom comes with cf-root automatically installed on the phone but with some issues, so after i flashed i installed darkcore 2.6 kernal onto my phone and enabled my voodoo lagfix
Today i want to upgrade to simply honey 3.6 and obviously i need to disable lagfix to do so, i go into recovery mode, voodoo and under settings it sais my lagfix is enabled which is a default setting, and further down it sais ...
system lagfix conversion: NO
Debug mode: yes
I click disable lag fix, even the system lagfix i tried to disable and then i reboot, nothing happens when i go back into recovery so im almost thinking i have to do a fresh factory reset or install a new version of gingerbread and start again, please help?
Thanks Jordan
Try getting voodoo toggle from the market and see if that works

If you haven't yet solved the problem I had the same issue and fixed it by flashing Ficeto JVH which comes with Dark Core 2.4. I was able to disable the lagfix after flashing this rom.
Hello xda users.I have question about lagfix.
I have galaxy S I9000 and currently i'm on XXJVU 2.3.6 odexed stock firmware.
My kernel is semaphore 2.5.0.And i converted the file system rfs to ext4 with "cf ext4 add on" there is no problem so far.But i'm wondering about;
If i'll get a rom issue (like stucking at galaxy s screen or somehing like that) some people says JVU has some bugs.I don't know what i need to do.
If i get an issue like that and if the file system is ext4 what can i do? (Can't enter to recovery, just entering to download) I had this issue beefore but i didn't have ext4 so i flashed rom using odin. But now if i get an issue like that is there any way to change file system when i can't boot up the phone ,stuck at s screen?
thanks in advance
you need to flash a stock rom using the .pit file along with the others (pda modem csc) this resets everything as far as i know
gige is right my lagfix also is always on.
there is no problem at all try reflashing back to stock and it will be back to rfs.
a tip if your lagfix on, try off it first if you want to try various roms especially ics.
cheers
Thanks .both of you
So tell me if i'm wrong;
i can flash stock rom (like XXJVU modem pda csc+pit and re partition checked) while my lagfix is on? Can i flash like that while lagfix on? (I mean did you try it ever? when lagfix on flashing rom from odin? anyone?
