I'd like to get an opinion on what's the best WiFi File Manager app around as I'm always transferring media i.e photos etc back and forth from my DHD to pc and vice versa and it would be better not having to use a usb cable and using a quick and simple way over WiFi would be better.

if it's small files then I use Bluetooth.
For larger things I use ASTRO file manager with the SMB module, then i can browse my Laptop or PC folders via my phone.
I couldn't get SMB Module to work. Best I have found so far is Estrongs with the built in WiFi file Manager. Can simply view the contents of your pc from phone and copy and paste onto phone.

ToneyEricsson , I cant Estrongs File Manager wifi file manager to work. Does it workn with Windows 7 (just had a new clean install)?
Or perhaps I have some settings not right?
Could you post how you got connected with this program?
Cheers!
P
What about MyPhoneExplorer
IMO excellent piece of software that allows connection via cable, Bluetooth and WiFi
And its free
Dropbox!
i use "file expert" for nearly everything.
but i also have SSHDroidPro in case i wont to log into my phone or use e.g. winscp or scp to trasnfer file from/to sitting at my pc.
Websharing is the one for me
LOL wtf..
Just make sure you have a shared folder on your Win7 machine (create something like Android transfer and share with 'Everyone')
Use ES File Explorer to set up a Server on LAN tab
job done
Is there a faster way to transfer files? I downloaded the infamous Kies but that didn't even run after being installed on my PC. When connected it shows up as a tablet and takes EXTREMELY LONG TIME to transfer any to almost all kinds of data. Is there a work around on this?

WiFi is the fastest, I there are a few apps that will handle both paid and free. Also dropbox is excellent for copying files too and from. And you can use the comp. Or es file explorer for ftp and shared devices as well.

why dont u change usb setting to mass storage and copy files using data cable. its faster
You should try AirDroid, work really well. Install app on device and client on pc.

Is there anybody using linux pc with o4x? Do you have convenient way to copy files from / to o4x. No matter what USB mode is chosen, it cannot be mount as a mass storage drive. Adb works well, but it is not convenient to push folders.
I'm using fedora 17. In contrast, the mass storage works well in the windows virtual machine with drivers installed.

You can use the MTP mode with some software, but for me it's very slow. For now i've been pushing small files via Google Drive; another option is to use a FTP server on the phone.
Ok. Thanks. I think I will stick to virtual machine wibrows.

Vídeo: Reprod. Mx, VLC
These a free and really works fine i preffer the mx
Feedly is a real option for those who need a Google Reader replace.
Total Comander: this app for me is the best file manager that i've ever found. It is free.
For twitter i Really preffer Twicca, in this point are a lot of options, depends on you of wich choosing.
And the last app i love for my tab2 is Airdroid, no need usb cable only a WiFi conection.
Lets discuss about the best apps fot gtab.
Edit1: Helium and adAway are my fav root apps, i'm not sure if helium works fine without root but by now for me is the best backup/restore data app.

I know that price is an object for most people, but I really prefer Solid Explorer over anything else for file managing. If there is any app worth the money, it's Solid Explorer.
Also, I like Carbon for Twitter and Flipboard as my newsreader.
Reddit is fun is also a great app if you're on reddit a lot.
Blackmart, twidroid (yes its still available) tablified market, AccuWeather, touch calendar and exchange by touchdown...the absolute must have is media fire... 10 GBs of free storage space. Of course you need 4shared pro and ROM manager. The list kinda goes on and on... Those are my must haves though... Tab 2 10.1 cyanogen 4.2.2
Tasker is a really need to buy app too...
Good for automation and everything...
The possibilities are endless...

-samba: if you want to see your android device folders from windows based pc (copy, paste etc)
-sync2: transfer easily files through wifi
Have been using kingsoft office for a month and seems to be such a stable and nice app for docs.

Taptu is amazing app for reading news. The best thing about it is that you can read offline and it load fast. Unlike other nice looking app like Flipboard, Current, Feedly it won't work with slow wifi at Mcdonald and can not read offline.

I recommend Solid Explorer as a file manager,
I find it better than total comander and has a better ui, specially for tablets

File managers (as well as the other apps, too) are a matter of personal preferense, IMO... As a loyal user of Total Commander for the past 18 years or so (I grew up on DOS and Norton Commander ), I like it both on Windows and on Android. However, my primary filemanager on my phone and tablet is ES Explorer (TC is a standby, but I am finding myself using it more and more on my tablet, as it's better on a bigger screen). As for Airdroid, there are also multiple apps available for WiFi file transfer. My choice is Software Data Cable - I use it all the time, no need for a USB connection, except for Odin flashing if needed...
One other personal recommendation is PasswdSafe - this has been my password manager on Windows for years, and Android port works beautifully in combination with DropBox file storage. With DropBox, all passwords are synced up between all my devices (three laptops, a phone, and a tablet) at any time.

Hi, Is there any way to send photos from a mobile phone need to watch?
I tried using "Bluetooth File Transfer", but I was unable to install to watch. Thanks for the tips
Not an option, I don't know why as it isn't be possible as apps are sent between the phone and watch, but it's only possible to transfer via USB at the moment.

Seek from the mobile app: samsung app gear
TransGear
It says you can transfer files via BT
Thanks and does not convert the image to a smaller resolution? I found a similar app, but that figure decreased to 320x320.
